Miss Brittany the best customer service at Jake's Seafood restaurant.

Never been disappointed as the food is always spot on. Always get the red beans and rice on Monday as it is a New Orleans tradition.

This is a family owned and operated restaurant! They have been in business for over 40 years! Always a great meal!!

Best kept secret in Marrero!!! I'm so sorry I started munching on the food before I snapped the pic. But let me tell you this food was delicious!!!! I had the Eggplant Orleans w/garlic butter pasta. I could eat this everyday!!!! My husband raved about the oyster poboy (not pictured because he ate it too fast) Now, it's not a fancy place by any means...the decor is a bit clunky (Zydeco style) and the ambiance is lacking. I wish they would place smooth jazz or zydeco music to set the mood a bit better and jazz up the decor a little. With all of that said, I will be back!

We didn't come on the All You Can Eat night, as that is apparently reserved for Monday and Tuesday. However, I did order the catfish plate, and I'm kind of glad it wasn't AYCE night - I barely finished a regular order! It was good, but was also huge. Their seafood dinners come with 2 sides of your choice. The sides are honestly what earned them only 3 stars... the seafood is good, and worth visiting for, but the sides are "meh" at best. I was excited to see jambalaya as a side dish option. It wasn't spicy. There weren't any large chunks of.. well... anything. It was almost more like spanish rice than jambalaya. The mac and cheese wasn't anything spectacular either. The boyfriend had fries with his Oyster and Catfish plate. They were okay. The service was friendly, although a bit slow with the drink refills at times. Since this is local for us, we will come back. It's probably not worth the trip for those who live outside of the Marrero area, though, unless you really, really want some all you can eat Catfish.

You'd think the staff might still be learning the ropes, but our server was incredible. There wasn't a single moment we needed anything and had to wait. She checked on us multiple times, and we were only there for about 30 minutes. The food came out really fast. The crawfish hit the table in about 3 minutes, and the catfish platter followed about 10 minutes later. Everything was piping hot. The crawfish has a little spice, just enough to taste it but not overpowering. Honestly, if they put any less spice in it, it wouldn't have any at all. I saw some reviews saying it's way too spicy, but those people obviously haven't had truly spicy crawfish. The fries were amazing honestly like homemade Popeyes-style fries. The catfish was fresh and flavorful. I would have liked it fried a little harder, but the menu says it's lightly battered, so it was exactly as advertised. They also had us in and out quickly without ever feeling rushed, which we really appreciated. This is definitely a great spot for families because there's something for everyone. The prices cant be beat! This was our first time trying Lefort's, and we will absolutely be back.

Challenging to figure out when they are and…read morearen't open since they go with the seafood availability, so we lived here for almost 1 3/4 yrs before we sat down at a table. Very limited seating; there's a wait on more popular nights. Servers are friendly and efficient, if you can get a table. Crawfish eat in was $7.25/lb when we visited the first time in late March. I ordered 3# and husband had a catfish plate. Great flavor on the crawfish and catfish nicely seasoned. Fountain sodas are $3. Next visit was shortly after, to go only from their busy, busy take-out counter opposite the seating area. Lots of choices, from stuffed artichokes to potato salad, stuffed eggs (deviled eggs) and bread pudding. Just needed 3# of crawfish to wash away the day at work. Not disappointed. In and out in under 10 min. Last visit this week, unable to get a table, so got it to go: 3# crawfish (now $4.75/lb take and $6.25/lb eat in), stuffed eggs (good, regular flavor, nothing fancy - 2/$2.75), corn (3/$3.75 sweet, sweet flavor), bread pudding with rum sauce (also available w/white chocolate sauce) which we reheated and ate the next day, and a shrimp poboy ($14.25), dressed, that took several minutes to come out of the kitchen. TONS of shrimp on it. Young lady delivering sandwich apologized for the wait. $41.92 w/tax before tip.

I look at the menu.. $6.25/lb for boiled crawfish.. ehhh okay fine I got FIVE POUNDS and a few sides for me and my mom. I get home we start enjoying... one dead crawfish. Okay... normal. We continue and my mom mentions how many dead crawfish she had gotten by this point, she said she couldn't eat anymore, I though she was exaggerating, I until i had gotten about 8 dead ones myself. I stop eating and comb through the entire bag. If I had to guess I would say about 60% of the bag were dead, maybe more. I felt SICK. Idk what's going on but prices are too high to be throwing more than half of my food in the trash.
