I travel a lot for business purpose and get to experience different places and people. I recently visited Lubbock, Texas. I had some spare time from business work and decided to use this time to take care myself. I started searching for a place for pedicure and nail services. The best review I found in Yelp was OM, Threading and Nails Spa. The picture of the building posted was not very attractive. At the end, I decided to give a try. As soon as I entered, 50 % of my anxiety and hesitance about the place was gone. It was a very clean spa inside a rough looking building. A lady welcomed me and asked me to select a color. They had three different racks to choose color from. I had to wait a while but the lady was so caring she was asking me whether I was comfortable. They offered me bottle water while waiting. I got my regular pedicure. The lady doing the pedicure took her time and she did the excellent job. I noted that they were using sterilized tools. Another lady made beautiful flowers on my toes. I got solar pink and white nails with exceptional results. The lady was very gentle and informed me step by step about what fixing to do. She was motivated to her professional. For their dedication and great job, I ended up get my eye brows threaded with them. This was my first ever experience of threading eyebrows. The treading lady told me it hurts more for first time. But, it was not too bad! I really recommend this place for all of your beauty needs. If I make that kind of money I would travel to this place for the service because they take care your body like their body! Prices for the service were competitive and even cheaper than bigger places. read more

I accidentally broke a nail 30 minutes before my shift. I went in and told them I needed to take them off and didn't have much time. I told them I only had 20 minutes to spare. The owner brings but she kept getting to close to my actual skin and hurt. She didn't care. I told her it hurt too!!! I sat there for an hour before she was done!!!!! She thought talking to her employees was so much more convenient than a paying customer. I wasn't even going to pay but I didn't wanna see my face on LPD Facebook page. I paid $15!!!!??? I look at bank account and statement, she charged me $30??!!!? I shouldn't have paid at all let alone double. Absolutely would not recommend AT ALL!!! No wonder no one was inside. I should've known considering it was a Saturday too silly me. I got home and eventually checked my nails, I still had acrylic on my nail???? She shaped them round, I don't like my nails round. I prefer them squared. My nails was sooo rigid. I think she cut them too short she couldn't even cut anymore!!! I thought the owner would have known better. Guess not? For the price, you can not get a better mani/pedi and I have certainly paid more for worse at other nail salons. This place is very affordable. I had been going to another salon on 34th near Tech Terrace but my mani/pedi rarely lasted more than a few days. I've tried other salons around 82nd and mall area but kept hoping to find someone closer to Tech. After passing Om threading and nails on 34th for several weeks (I confess I was judging them by their basic exterior. Shame on me). Terrific service. The ladies here are really nice and not careless at all. They are very attentive to details, so your mani/pedi last a long time. Definitely happy to have found this place. read more

Never in my life have I felt so comfortable in a salon. I always feel like the techs are pushy to get what they want you to get. So they can get more, not this place. Lalita let me look around and feel the place out while I tried to figure out what I wanted. She was very thorough and careful with everything. Even asked me how I like them, thin or thick. She made me feel so comfortable. Also got threading done for the first time. It hurt at first but she was so gentle with me. My eyebrows already have an ok shape to them, but she made them awesome. Went to get my brows threaded today. I went at around noon and there was no wait. Noticed right away that the salon itself is very clean. I have pretty thin brows so all I ever need is for them to be cleaned up. When I tell most people this they go way over board and take off too much, but the lady who did mine did just as I asked. The shapes great and she took the time to make sure they were very even and neat, without taking all of what little brow hair I have away. I'm very happy with them and will definitely go back! It is really an awesome experience for the first timer like myself. I was new in town and looking for good facial, manicure, and hair saloon. Finally, I found OM Threading Nails and Spa for all my fashion related needs. I would personally like to thanks staffs and owner of this place for their friendly and homely care. I highly recommend Om Threading Nails & Spa. It's quite underrated and the technicians are very polite, thorough, and did exactly what I asked for and were also considerate in tending to my needs. I read the other reviews of this place, so my expectations were high. I most definitely was not disappointed. Lalita was my manicurist. She was quick and efficient. This is probably one of the best (if not THE best) shellac & manicure I've ever had and it was only $30. (cheaper if you just get shellac) I will be coming back again and again. read more

This place is the best salon in Lubbock! I got my nails painted with nail polish and I am so happy with the price and their service. My nails look beautiful, as you can see from the pictures! My roommate and I were looking to get a pedicure for midterms stress relief and we stumbled upon this place. Absolutely loved it. It's a small place in an odd place but we couldn't have been happier.
