Henry & Helen are the newest owners and are absolutely the sweetest, kind and fun loving couple I have ever met. They always provide top notch service and treat everyone like they are # 1 priority. I went in and wanted a manicure with regular clear polish. I do not get my nails done, because a I hate gel and dips. The lady did clear gel, took less than 10 minutes and my nails are uneven. Why would anyone want clear gel? Did not do what asked, rude, and expensive. Do not recommend! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON! The woman cut me 3 times with the drill. One of the times she literally rolled it around my finger and when I reacted she said oh did that burn!! My daughter and I both chose the dipped nails. I was told $32 each. I asked for a leopard print design and showed her a picture, which she replied no problem. My nails don't look even close to that the design. $84 laters because my daughter got matte top coat instead of shiny. I asked why and she said it's posted but couldn't show me anywhere it was posted! Highly disappointed! I had to stop and buy a file to clean up both of our fingernails. I only gave one star because the woman that did my daughters nails was nice to her. Obviously extra for design, which I got. I didn't have extensions put on. I never write yelp reviews, but this experience warrants one. I'm headed to a professional conference tomorrow, so I wanted my nails to look nice and clean. My favorite salon has been closed while they are on vacation, and google reviews on this place looked decent so I thought I'd give them a try (without reading yelp reviews first). Bad idea. I got a regular pedicure and shellac manicure. The guy who did my nails was so rough, he cut my cuticles 3 times! One on my toe and two fingers. The paint looks so sloppy on both toes and fingers, I could have done a better job. At the end, he told me I was getting a 'discount' at $57. I will not be back. read more

InIf there was an option to give 0 stars that is what I would choose. I would be absolutely embarrassed for the way I was treated. The guy spent more time playing with his phone than doing my feet.... he even sat the hot towel directly on my foot to answer his phone and it burnt me. He also left me sitting waiting on him 7 times and was on his phone atleast 15 or more times. I will NEVER go here again and do not recomend it to anyone..... it also took over 1.5 hours and once I told him I had a place to be he rushed through and didn't scrub or put any lotion on. read more

Also my dip powder nail came out ugly, with rough edges, unevenly shaped and stain all over my fingers. It was my first and will be my last time there. I am still disappointed. I was visiting Lubbock and popped in here with my parents one day. I have to say, out of all the nail salons I've been to, even in Dallas, this is the by far best place. They took their time with my nails to make sure they were perfect. Really nice place and nice workers. I can't wait to visit Lubbock again so I can come back to Escape Nail Spa. read more

Don't spend your money with this place! I came to this nail shop to take advantage of the 15% off student discount and regret ever going. They are the absolute worst nail salon I have ever been to in my life! I came there and they put my feet in some water with no jets or anything and left me there for 45 minutes or more, once someone final helped me they rushed messing up my shellac nails, they are very unevenly thick and unappealing. Then they tried charging me more and not trying to honor the prices in their menu, after arguing about the pricing that is clearly stated on the menu they did a horrible job on my nails and I still paid them to reduce any conflict and they refused to honor the student discount. I was in search of a new salon. I had been doing dipping powder somewhere else and the process just wasn't for me. I wanted to get back to acrylic and was recommended to come here. I'm so glad I did. They spent time to make sure they got all the layers of dip off and recommended an acrylic color product. I was able to color match with a polish for my pedicure and had a great experience. I got the look I've been desperately missing, natural looking but stronger than my natural nail. I got just that! Found my new salon! read more

It took more than an hour and fifteen minutes for a basic pedicure and the paint job was not very good. My toe nails were cut unevenly and were cut with a cuticle cuter instead of nail clippers. Didn't even stay for my nails to get done. read more

I'm sorry to see such bad past reviews. I have been to five different salons in lubbock and ended up leaving one I had been going to for months and came here. They have done a fantastic job every time I have been here. I always get be dipping powder which usually takes at least 15 minutes to remove and an hour to reapply especially when you get a French tip but they managed to have me in and out in less than an hour so that I was not late to the gym. The last time I got mine done two days later I slammed my fingers in a car door and broke two of them and came in to get them fixed they saw me immediately and did not charge me a dime. They have always been very sweet to me and polite I have never felt rushed if anything I felt bad for rushing them. I highly recommend this place perhaps they got poor reviews before but it seems they have really turned it around. I would bring my friends and family here for any spa day read more

My mom, sister and I decided to get our nails done for back to school about a month ago. I researched nail salons and picked Escape since I heard good things. My sister got gel nails from a VERY nice young lady, and they chatted the whole time. My mom got French acrylics from the main guy and he was very nice as well. The lady that did my acrylics was SO RUDE!! She scoffed at things, yelled across the room, was obviously grumpy the whole time, forced my hands around, and when I asked for medium to short length, she left them very long. When I finished, the man who did my mom's nails asked if I liked my nails "long," like he was surprised that's what she gave me. I went home and reshaped them myself. I feel bad giving one star since my mom and sister loved their manicures, so I'm giving two, but I will not come here again. read more

I got a gel manicure and it was awesome! I had acrylics on and got them soaked off and the gentleman that did my nails was so gentle and got all the acrylics off and took his time doing it and cleaned up my cuticles very nicely, my service was a 5 star BUT the only reason I'm giving a 3 star was because another lady came in to get her nails taken off and wanted a new set. One female worker helped her pick out her color and a male worker put the foil on her nails to soak. They left her sitting there for 35 minutes with the foil on her fingers (not even checking to see what stage her nails were in) while the male worker sat in his chair and the female worker sat across from him to get HER nails done. The client had to tell them can they check her nails because they weren't even paying attention to her and she had somewhere to be. If you're on the clock it's so UNPROFESSIONAL to be getting your nails done while a client is just sitting there not even being a priority. read more

This establishment was very disappointing. Im a teenager and never leave reviews, and the fact that I'm even writing says something. They were very rude and messed the nails up when painting so they're now cracked and in some spots not even completely matted. When I asked for long nails they criticized as if it were ugly to have longer nails and it made me feel very insecure. When I mentioned how a nail was sideways they said I would have to pay $10 more to fix it. When THEY messed up! When I was finished and waiting on my friends (who's nails they messed up as well) an elderly lady came in with an appointment for 6 pm and asked what color would go good with a navy blue dress. The man there rolled his eyes and said "Just pick your own color!" She looked hurt when he yelled so I then went and helped her pick a color that would match. It took me maybe 2 minutes to pick her out a color and she was happy with it. He couldn't take 2 minutes to make a customer happy! I was appalled and close to telling them they can either fix everyone's nails or not be paid- but I didn't even have the energy to go through it with them so we left all unsatisfied. So my suggestion is to go to sparkle nail salon, they're $5 more on prices but are much friendlier and take their time to do the nails. I'm never coming back to escape nail salon and I don't suggest you go either! read more
