Sad that i have to post this because I've been going to salon sculpt for over a year (I'm a natural blonde & I've been dying my hair black for over a year and a half). This time, I decided I wanted to switch it up for my birthday. The first pic is what I asked for & the other two, are what I got. It took 5 hours and while Dianna was drying my hair, she was talking about all the things that went wrong; how the root touch up didn't "hold" like it was supposed to, how I have "color buildup" in certain areas so the color is "uneven"(which if I had color buildup, it's due to one of her other stylists that's been coloring my hair), how there wasn't much difference in my hair but "it'll get lighter over time", etc. Somehow, the cost was $405, which I think is a complete scam. I paid it all in cash and a few days later, they charged my card $405 as well, so they took $810 from me, for hair that I didn't ask for. They said that my "transaction never went through" and I told them I paid them in cash so they should never charge my card in the first place, and they claim they gave me a refund but I'm still waiting on it to go through. In addition, they made appointments for me that I was never informed of & completely unaware about until 2 hours before & they were upset when I didn't show up. I wish I experienced the 5 stars this place seems to get. I went here months ago and my hair turned out great, but the stylist no longer works there so I went to a new girl named Brooke this last Wednesday for a balayage and trim. I have never been so mortified at my hair before that it brought me to tears! All I went in for was for my previous balayage to be brightened up, brought up a little higher into my grow out, and for my ends/layers to be trimmed. After over-toning my hair twice, my ​hair was turned GRAY/GREEN and looks like my toddler took his scissors to it. I should have stopped the stylist when she admitted to me she was trying a "new technique" for the first time while coloring my hair, but I figured she knew what she was doing. After coming home and washing my hair 5 times, not only was the sickly gray-green still 100% present, but I can also now add more to the list of a terrible experience -- there is zero blending from "blonde" (graygreenmess) to my dark roots. I have literal uneven lines from every. single. foil. No blending, just 2 inch lines sporadically placed from the top of my head all the way through to the nape of my neck. I wish I didn't waste 6 hours of driving round trip to a place with such promising reviews to be completely let down and embarrassed. I am mortified to leave my house looking like this. I am very disappointed in Salon Sculpt. I understand it's just hair, but having to walk around feeling this embarrassed and ashamed because of how I look is an extremely low feeling that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Very friendly customer service, super organized and helpful. I scheduled an appointment with Michaela and she was the best. I walked in with oily hair because that was one of my main problems and she was able to wash my hair and give me the proper treatment. She gave me the advice I needed and was able to answer my questions. I loved that she was able to tame my frizzy hair and fix it up for me. I just moved here and have been to a couple places in town for my hair. When requesting an appointment online, they called me within hours of my request. Receptionist was great and was able to get me in within two days. Went to stylist Patsy for the first time and she was AMAZING. I got a full highlight and cut. NOT all of my roots were dyed either I'm so stressed out because now I have to strip and recolor my hair back to how it was and I've been trying to grow my hair long so this is going to cause so much damage. I have always been so stressed out when going to a new place for services such as -which is why I typically just do my own hair. I regret thinking that a Licensed professional was going to listen to my needs and do what I asked for. Just an awful experience. Four of us came to this salon. Such a disappointing experience. Not on time, the staff were not aware of what products they sold (had to consult a binder to find out what the products were useful for! LOL). The place is odd and not very clean in the back. Salon Sculpt used to be one of the Lyndsey's Salons but is now under new ownership. I have been going here since I moved to Lubbock for haircuts. Almost exclusively (except the first time I went there) I've seen Natalie. I highly recommend her. I have hair that is both fine and full and can be difficult to cut - she has always done a great job. She doesn't rush through your haircut and she takes the time to make sure that she completely understands what you want to have done. She's also friendly and nice, and seems to genuinely pay attention to her clients (she'll remember you, what you talked about last time, etc) while also not being one of those stylists who just talk your ear off. In terms of the salon, it is well kept, and the front desk people are generally nice and friendly. Its also walking distance from campus which nice if you work there (like I do) or are a student. The rates are fair (I think its ~$30 for a haircut). read more

I have been to salon sculpt before and I had a better experience. But this time, my stylist was a lazy lady who hardly took any effort. She hardly did any cutting and styling. She finished everything in 30 mins including the hair wash. She styled my hair with the dryer and charged me $50 when my hair wasn't even that long. Despite the unhappy experience, I left her a decent tip but sorry salon sculpt you need to hire better stylist. Personally I had the best experience with Autumn she is really professional and does a good job. I usually go to her but she was pre-booked for 4 weeks thats when I opted for a different stylist. read more

My worst coloring nightmare. I went to Holly for a mix of highlights and lowlights and that was a huge mistake. It became clear after she started that she was not at all experienced doing foils. She left the foils more than 1/2 an inch from my scalp, left huge chunks of my bangs and areas around my face untouched until I asked her to finish those sections, and went back in to hand paint 1 inch sized chunks of hair left between foils with the darker color. She also painted some of the darker color directly onto my scalp. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and I stupidly let her continue. After removing the foils and washing my hair the damage was evident and horrendous. Leopard like spots and chunky stripes of the dark color and streaks of bleach blond. I stopped her before she cut my hair. Fortunately Olga, a much more experienced stylist was nearby and she offered to fix my hair on the spot by re-doing blonde highlights. She did a much better job of the highlights, and squeezed me in for a hair cut a few hours later, but she still charged me full price for the additional foils, and my previously natural looking dark blonde color is now platinum. I appreciate Olga's efforts, but I won't be going back ever again. read more

I went to Salon Sculpt after having a terrible experience at another salon. It was easy to get an appointment and the staff was very nice. My stylist was Brooke and she did a wonderful job. Sometimes my hair is difficult to color because I have a lot of gray hair and my roots like to do weird things but the results were great. I felt listened to, which I haven't felt at other salons. what a disaster!! if I could give this zero stars I would. To start I never leave reviews, no matter if my experience was great or terrible. I went to this salon and to the hairstylist, Lucy based off a recommendation, and boy to I wish I never had. To start at the beginning, she asked to move my appointment from Friday at 9am to Thursday at 3:30pm, I came in on Thursday (she was late) I needed highlights and my micro-bead extensions installed. After sitting in the chair she asked me what I wanted... like we hadn't like just talked about exactly what I wanted and pricing the week before. So after her telling me the price for my color was going to be more expensive than what she previously told me, I just decided to let her do it anyways. she took FOREVER(like 4/5 hours) to do a partial highlight on my hair, and telling me that I was going to have to come back tomorrow because she couldn't finish the extensions all in one appointment, which would have been fine except that the reason she didn't want to install the extensions that day was due to the fact that the salon was having a "botox party" hosted there and she wanted to have time to get botox done instead of finish my hair. she tried to convince me to get botox done with her the entire first appointment(which I found very inappropriate) but she also had very weird conversations with me, telling me things that were personal and as a stranger who had just met her I didn't need to know, as well as talking bad about all the other Stylist in the salon, and would mention it overtime they walked by.(VERY unprofessional) After she finished my hair I already knew that it wasn't what I had asked for (and went to my regular hair lady the week after for her to fix) but I was already invested, and she had my extensions at the salon so I had to go back, I came back on Friday morning at 9pm, to her room that wasn't cleaned up from the night before when I had left(gross) she started to put start the process of installing my extensions, and the whole time kept hounding me on where I got them and why I didn't buy my extensions from her, keep in mind I did a TON of research on what extensions to get and where I bought them as well as talking to people who had bought and used these exact extensions before. (it was nothing but great things) So her harassing me about them the whole appointment was extremely annoying and rude. She bought beads and used them, she installed all the extensions and they were fine(so I thought) after going to my normal hairstylist at a different salon to fix my roots (she doesn't do extensions or I would've gone to her) she told me that not only was the dye job she did bleeding throughout my hair but also Lucy put way to many extensions in so high put on my head it was super hard to cover the beads. I started having extensions fall out, and when it was only one or two I wasn't worried I figured a couple would fall out and it wouldn't be a big deal, well then I noticed that every time they would fall out it was ripping my actual hair out with it. She texted me checking up and I told her and she really didn't do anything about it, other than telling me she "felt terrible" but then never answered my last text to her. I had my extensions taken out after a month (28 days) got them put in February 1st(even though the actual extensions are perfectly fine and if had been installed correctly would have lasted a lot longer) and my natural hair is unbelievably thin, broken and damaged. My hair has never looked this bad in my whole like I am so embarrassed of it. After texting Lucy again she told me that it is my fault because I didn't order the extensions from her (of course), she blamed it on the beads that SHE purchased and had no problem putting in my hair. She is not a professional, and clearly not experienced enough, she tried to up charge me for the install of my extensions as well and I had to tell her that this is what she had texted me that the price was going it be. I believe that I should be given a full refund for my color and extensions. read more
