they didn't have the color I asked for which is fine because I just picked another one. However, the man didn't asked me what shape I wanted or anything and I ended up paying $40 for my nails to get dipped and end up looking like round bubbles. He filed my nails down to the nub. Update: it's been 4 days and my index finger and middle fingers are already lifting on the sides.

3 day old dip...

I'm sitting at work right now kinda pissed off about my nails. I got them on 3 days ago and they look like they are ~2 weeks old. I paid $40 for dip and I think the polish they use to set each layer was old so it was super thick and now my nails are thicker than usual. The shape is also not what I wanted. I asked for almond and it's just kinda rounded. I don't think my nails were long enough for almond but they talked me out of getting tips. The people are very nice however... But I will have to continue for my search for my nail place in Lubbock. Message me if you have any suggestions lol

Went in with a group before my wedding and we all loved our nails and toes. A little bit of a scheduling mix up but it was handled well

I absolutely loved this place!! Tasha was the best and was absolutely so sweet and kind to me! She was very gentle and didn't cut me or hurt me at all. I'm definitely going to come here again!!

I tried out this nail salon today in the hopes of finding my go to in Lubbock. I went for just a basic pedicure and a dip-powder acrylic nail set. The pedicure was well worth the reasonable $35 (this is as low as the price goes for pedicures for their menu, FYI). I chose the lavender scrub and the owner, Kim - who did the pedicure, was very meticulous and sweet...easily my favorite nail person I've ever had. Then, to the not so good. I have very small hands and nails so I understand it takes a lot more effort to do them. I was taken care of by a male worker in the salon who I never got the name of. In summary, my nails were done precisely the way I chose and all that jazz. BUT I had at least 4 fingers that could not stop bleeding from my cuticles being cut so deep. One finger was actually oozing blood as the nail technician repeatedly apologized as he tried to stop the bleeding with pressure and nail glue (btw: wtf???). It just so happened around this time it began to become super busy. Instead of perhaps giving me a discount or checking on my hands, he just apologized and moved to the next guest as I grudingly paid and left. So why did I still give it such a high rating? The owner, Kim, is absolutely amazing. I ended up requesting a full refund from how sensitive, scratchy, and swollen my fingers that were cut had become. It's nothing crazy and I know every tool they used was clean, but I wasn't willing to pay $40 for that kind of fingernail work. Kim recognized this and was actually going to reach out to me after the rush had passed to come back in. She gave me a full refund and was so sweet/apologetic. I've had some terrible nail experiences where nail technicians pretended to not even know me. Kim was so kind, sweet, and genuinely apologetic. All and all, the experience was about 60/40. The pedicure was fantastic by Kim. The ambience was clean. Decent nail selection plus a free refreshment. My dip-nails are looking better now that the swelling has gone down and the technician actually did some decent work besides the 'Cuticle Crisis'. Honestly, in all businesses mistakes are made. It happens. I just so happened to be the person it happened to. But what matters is how the mistake is dealt with and Kim really blew me away with her kindness. I am willing to give this place another try and I think anyone in the area should too! Plus I haven't seen one bad review up until my visit. Thank you again Kim and see you soon!

Lifting

Update: all my nails fell or broke off within 2 days of taking this picture....definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone . . . . The staff was pretty nice, but I was really disappointed with the outcome I've had my nails on for a less than a week and there is already lifting & one fell off. I won't be returning.

I was actually at another nail salon, waiting to be seated, when I looked his one up on yelp and walked out and drove here! As soon as I walked in, I was asked what I needed done and the male owner got me in immediately! (I only needed a fill and my toes painted cause I was in a rush.) The owner did my fill VERY QUICKLY and they look amazing! Once finished, the owners daughter actually did my toes and was very sweet and made great conversation. The interior is very spa-like, which I enjoy. Fairly new. Huge selection of colors to pick from. Offers beverages, many wine choices. Also offers 10% student discount(!!). I definitely recommend this place and will continue to give them my business!

Went in, showed them a picture from Pinterest (which is always a gamble) and it came out great. It was a great price too, only $40 for acrylic full set with color tip. Ask for Tasha and you won't be disappointed!

How she made me leave!

I absolutely hate this nail bar! I've tried it a few times to give them the benefit of the doubt but nooo!! Every time I've come here they mess up my nails or don't do what I ask. I showed this lady a picture of what I wanted and explained. when she started to file I noticed she cut my nail to short and I told her! Her response was I'm not done, wait. I cried cause my nails came out ugly she removed them and said she won't be doing my nails. Well ok. I'll just go to a better nail salon. How rude and unprofessional all because you didn't want to listen to what I was going to be paying for . Disrespectful and disgusting.

To start off the color I got is nothing like what I asked for. There are bits of yellow, blue, and purple in the color making them look moldy, I got them done yesterday and one already cracked, my lady was rude and would get mad if I didn't understand her and she didn't even glue the nail down! Terrible experience, wouldn't recommend to anyone!

Dipped nails

I think I have found my new go to nail salon, and lucky it was on the first try! I came in around 6:15 in a Tuesday night and the were more than happy to do both dip nails and a pedicure with shellac even though they closed at 7:30. The place is super clean and modern looking, with relaxing music playing in the back ground. As soon as i sat down i was offered something to drink and given the salon menu. They had plenty of shellac and dip colors to chose from. My pedicure was excellent, I chose the vanilla latte and it smelled wonderful. He (wish I would have got then man's name, as he was very good) even did my shellac polish before all the lotion to make sure the shellac would adhere well to my toe nails! When removing my current set of dip nails, he barely filed off the shiny top layer (most places over do the drilling and end up hurting me) and allowed them to fully soak off on foil while he finished up my pedicure. I love this because everywhere else I have ever been tries to drill off the product and it ruins my nails. When putting on the new set he even made the comment that the previous place had drilled to deep on my nails, which is true. I'm glad that they pay attention and do there best not to damage your natural nails. When doing the new set he really took his time to make sure the shape and length were what I wanted. He also did the dip very thin so it would look more natural because of the color I chose, but they reassured me if I had any problems with them that I could come back and get it fixed. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is price. They are a tad bit more expensive than what I am use to back home but they seem to be in line on price with the other salons I checked with around town. Overall this is a great nail salon and I look foward to going back, and am also relieved that I don't have to hunt for a nail salon after finding this place!

I got my nails done for the first time at venus nails yesterday. My experience was 10/10. The employees and owner are so polite and nice. When I came in I was immediately asked how I could be helped. I was a walk-in and it was very busy but they were still happy to help. Due to it being very busy, my wait time was about 20 minutes but it wasn't bad at all. They were very patient and made sure i was happy. They repeatedly told me that they wanted me to be happy with my nails and they were glad to make any changes. I didn't like the color I chose, and they actually redid the whole manicure. I was so pleased with my experience here. It was 45$ for dip manicure. I recommend going here.

super nervous but excited, it's close to closing time, hope they can get me in!

I bought a yearly wax pass every year and believe me, it's worth the up front cost. I have always enjoyed going to the location on 98th street. I have never been unhappy with any service given by any of the ladies. I would give a 5 star review on behalf of the ladies at the reception desk and the ladies that wax, however there seems to be huge problem with the owner. They can't keep the staff employed. As an owner of a company myself, there is a serious problem when a business has a revolving door of employees. Every week that I go through that door there is different receptionist. I'm loyal to a waxer that I like but they keep leaving. I had an apt today and of course there was a different receptionist and the waxer I was scheduled with has also given her notice. They have a sign on their door that they will be closed on weekends till further notice. Why... because they have only a couple of waxers now!!! My wax pass is up for renewal and I'm seriously considering not renewing. I'm sending a letter with my complaint to the franchise corporation as well. Your employees are what make your business run smoothly but it's up to an owner to make sure employees are happy!!

This feedback is for corporate... its seems like natural products are important to you. I'm concerned that you have microwave ovens in every room and that you microwave the sugar wax in plastic containers. The exposure to microwave ovens all day long is not in the best interest of your staff. This is a serious and potentially very dangerous health risk. Additionally, microwaving the plastic containers all day long can add unnecessary PBAs (toxic microplastics) into the sugar scrub which may be toxic for your staff and clients. These issues can easily be resolved by making 2 simple changes to your room set up. 1. Replace microwave with a crock pot or something similar. Have hot water available in the crockpot all day long. 2. Keep the sugar wax in a glass container inside of the hot water in the crockpot. This will keep the sugar wax hot all day and will protect your staff and customers from unnecessary radiation exposure and toxic microplastics. You have smart young women working for you. As an employer, it's your responsibility to protect them. Thanks for taking this feedback. I'd like to use your services again - if you ditch the microwaves. Thanks!
