I don't know about you all, but I hate moving. The packing, the moving itself and unpacking. OM Moving made it as painless as it can get. From the time of getting an estimate to when the final payment was made after the move, they were professional, courteous, friendly and even provided some background music to lighten up the mood! Yuval - the moving company owner - personally came to our apartment and looked through everything we had before giving us a quote. He was very clear that the estimate was all inclusive with the exception of parking tickets and gratuity for the movers. He informed us that his goal was to make the move as painless as possible because he not only wanted our business in the future but also wanted to make sure that his reputation in the neighborhood was preserved. Being a small business with clients in the Park Slope neighborhood this was very important to him. Given our experience with OM Moving - they certainly will have our business and our recommendation going forward! On the day of packing we met the movers themselves - Ivan and his crew (Rio and Davis). They were so friendly and nice! As they were packing they pointed out to us things that were already damaged and made sure things were packed well. We have completely unpacked 75% of the boxes, and have not found anything that has been damaged or misplaced by the move. Ivan also assembled and disassembled our ikea furniture and managed to make the furniture survive the move! They were the nicest crew we've ever moved with. When we had initially gotten a quote from Yuval, we had not realized that the place we were moving to had about ten stairs that needed to be traversed to get to the elevator. We realized this the day before the move and informed Yuval. Yuval was very nice, and informed us that they would assess the situation once they got there and if it had huge negative implications on the move they may need to add a few hundred dollars to the move. This was a completely fair stance as we had missed mentioning the stairs which obviuosly add complexity to the move. In the end they didn't charge us extra for the stairs. Additionally one of our ikea closets needed to be moved up five stories because it didn't fit in the elevator. No extra charge for that either! But most importantly no fuss from Ivan and his crew. They embraced all the challenges with the move and made it their problem to solve and not ours. Going with OM Moving was the best decision we made with moving! read more

These guys are the BEST. Yuval was extremely professional on the phone -- was able to make up a contract for the entire move with all the details on short notice. The guys showed up on time, Yuval was there to personally greet me. He was very approachable and friendly, introduced his moving guys who had similar manners. They were in high spirits; saying that any move is their desired workout for the day :) Really made such a process like moving stress free and almost enjoyable. They wrapped up the furniture carefully and took their time to move it out to their MASSIVE truck -- they made sure they were completely respectful of the home / walls / even removed and replaced picture frames in the hallway just for the fear they were to bump one. One of the couches I was moving didn't end up fitting through my apartment door -- Yuval's moving team, including Henry, almost seemed more upset about this than I did. We ended up having to sell the couch last minute on craigslist -- Henry said he hated leaving feeling "unaccomplished." They then proceeded to move the rest of my furniture to another location I requested. I told them they were to leave the pieces in the lobby of the building -- there was a mix up and the guy receiving the furniture pieces assumed the movers were to bring the pieces up to his apartment -- which was *not in the contract. These guys didn't even complain -- they did it simply because they are nice, genuine guys. When Yuval heard later that one of my couches didn't fit through the front door, he courteously called me and offered a company that takes apart furniture and puts it back together in order for it to fit in any size space. Didn't end up using the service -- but it was very kind of Yuval to reach out to me and offer guidance help even after the move / payment transaction was completed. Really -- when thinking of having someone deal with your valuables -- including entering your home -- handling precious pieces -- and completing a move with a good attitude and done right -- Om moving is the place to turn to. I had an excellent experience with Om Moving and would recommend this company without hesitation. Yuval, the owner, came to my apartment to survey my belongings and gave me a very fair quote. He was earnest and so easy to deal with. I got the impression that he genuinely wanted to provide high quality service and make my move as easy as possible. I wanted an extra pickup from my parents' apartment and he said no problem. The day of the move his foreman Henry came with 2 other guys, all of them were polite and friendly. They were a little late but traffic happens and I didn't mind, since I still had packing to do. Henry especially was great - he took a quick tour of my stuff with me and listened to all my concerns carefully before directing his team. The team was so quick and efficient - I was amazed. They took excellent care of my stuff: wrapped all my furniture carefully, packed my electronics (including TVs) and a few breakable items, wrapped my mattress and box spring, packed all the hanging clothes from my closets into wardrobe boxes, loaded loose items into bins. Yuval came by to make sure everything was going smoothly and I had no complaints. At the other end of the move, the team unloaded and unpacked with equal efficiency. Yuval had predicted that my move could take 8 or 9 hours because it was the Thursday before Memorial Day, but it only took about 5.5 - 6 hours because the traffic wasn't bad at all. If I had gone with a company that charges by the hour, as many do, I would have paid less, I suppose. However, for the peace of mind that came with Om Moving's flat rate and promise of excellent service, I was happy to pay a little more. Yuval's pricing was very competitive with 2 other flat rate movers that I got quotes from. All in all, I would highly recommend Om Moving! It's just nice to work with nice people who respect you and your belongings! Oh, and what moving company leaves flowers for you when the move is done? Om Moving helped us with a relatively short move inside Brooklyn. Yuval and his team were prompt, courteous, and made sure our needs were met from estimate to move completion. Our new residence required a lot of documentation, particularly a certificate of insurance (COI) that included workman's comp. Yuval came through with flying colors, providing all documentation within 48 hours. His team was also experienced enough to ask the questions I didn't think to ask at the point of moving into the new residence. For example, I didn't think to ask about a service entrance (good to spare the lobby the nicks and scrapes of multiple dollies) for the movers, nor did I think to set up a parking space for the truck once everyone arrived. 100% of our things were accounted for in the move. We didn't have any major scrapes, dings, dents, or scratches on any of our big pieces. The team took apart, packed in newspaper and protective plastic, and loaded everything we owned in our 2BR, 1BA former residence and had us unloaded and our large pieces reconstructed inside **4 hours**. No joke. Om Moving does cost a little more than some of the competitors, but you can tell where the extra cash goes when you see the quality of the move. We opted for everything except professional unpacking, and paid around $3,000 - I would've done it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended, settle for no less. read more

Last month I moved from Brooklyn to Santa Fe, NM and OM moving was amazing. From the get go Yuval helped me figure out how I was going to move, what to bring, how to pack efficiently, etc. I had only moved between Brooklyn and Manhattan and I quickly learned that moving cross country was a different animal completely. On the day of the move the foreman and two other movers showed up on time at my place. I had everything boxed and they brought labels for me so no box would be lost. They packed my furniture to the extent that even if things were dropped down stairs I think there would be no damage. I thought I was the bubble wrap queen- now I know I had much to learn about how to wrap and protect furniture. The guys were professional and really nice. The 18 wheeler showed up in Santa Fe in a little over a week. The driver and the second mover were great. We had to unload everything and put it into a small UHaul and then to my new place. An 18 wheeler would not fit on the street where I now live. So, in essence, they did a double unloading for me and were really great about it. I would not move with anyone else if I had a choice. Moving...it's not supposed to be easy...or fun - yet somehow OM Movers takes the sting out of things and provided us with a more enjoyable moving experience than we could have ever expected. Owner Yuval was hands-on, pleasant and communicative throughout the process, responding to every email promptly and unexpectedly stopping by to check in on the move, As for his staff, they don't call our crew, "The A-Team" for nothing. Our move-out was led by Juan and rounded out by the friendly, talented and hard-working crew Jose, Drew and Davis. These guys were not only efficient and dare I say "loving" with our possessions, they were...(I swear) having FUN. Trust me, we've had grumpy movers before and it doesn't help the overall experience. Ditto on the move-back-in with the same core team, this time led by Henry (as Juan was on a well-deserved vacay). In both cases there was laughter, smiles and high-fives eliminating what could have been an otherwise tense half-a-day. As for the actual moving part, what can I say? OM movers recently handled our two part move out of our Brooklyn apartment and into a storage unit, then 5 weeks later into a new home in New Jersey. Yuval was amazing from the start: he was willing to come into my house with a mask for a socially distance in-person inventory, which was important to me for accuracy. He also handled our constantly changing schedule and closing date with so much patience. He was always available via phone or email when I had questions about logistics or needed to change the final move dates again. For packing and moving, Ivan and his crew are unbeatable. I had a great experience with Om Moving. I moved from Queens, NY to Dallas, Texas and was able to do so with short notice during the busiest time of year. I worked directly with the owner of the company (Yuval) for the entire move - start to finish. My move was extra complicated because we had multiple locations where we had items that we wanted to move. In the end, Yuval made sensible suggestions that saved us money and by NOT using his own moving service for those particular items. I feel this really shows that Yuval has the customer's best interests at heart and not looking to get as much money from each job as possible. All of my items arrived in Texas in the same condition that they were in New York which is the best case scenario. The movers on the pick-up and delivery side were very good, especially on the pick-up (these were hired directly by Yuval and they were excellent). I spent a lot of time and research for my move to find a combo of the best price and someone I could trust - I would recommend that everyone with a move originating in the New York area use Om Moving. read more

We recently moved to Park Slope and had a wonderful experience with Om Moving. Despite our last minute request and another move later in the afternoon, they managed to fit in our move the day we needed it. Our first conversation over the phone to estimate the price was very detailed, so we already felt comfortable that they knew what they were doing. They arrived with three movers, which were all very hard-working, efficient, and pleasant to be around with. They carefully wrapped all our furniture into blankets to make sure there were no dents and scratches. They also paid great attention to not scratch the door frames or corridors of our building. They stuck within their predicted time range, so there were no bad surprises. Given the high quality of their work, the prices were very reasonable as well. The wardrobe boxes they provided were free, too, which was a big help for us, so we didn't have to fold all our shirts and other clothes. Overall, we had a great moving experience, and thanks to Om Moving the whole process went very smoothly. We'd definitely book them again. read more

We hired 5 movers from this company to move. The leader was a sloppy awful packer and his attitude was disgusting. We have antiques and expensive furniture. I stopped him from packing. There was one young man who was a great packer out of the 5 movers. I had him pack all my valuable furniture. I told the movers not to pack anything that I didn't give to them. I found one of the packers throwing my things in a box. I had to berate him. There was also one consciencious guy who confided in me that he wants to start his own moving company. They did not bring bubble wrap so they had to use my $65 roll to pack some of the antiques. They brought hardly any boxes with them. They had only boxes that smelled like garbage that they used for my Prada clothing. Any boxes hey had were old and used many times. Can you imagine? They brought no small boxes. We paid $2400 for this move which was crazy. I would not recommend them if you have expensive furniture. I am sure that most of the posts from this company are from them or their friends. read more

Excellent move with Om last weekend. We have a two-part move (leases don't overlap), and Yuval, the owner, came to my apt and really took his time making sure he knew what had to go, what had to be wrapped due to fragility, and helped me pick the right-sized storage space. The job was priced totally fairly, they even gave us wardrobe box & blanket rental options for our month in storage. We had worked with Yuval when he managed a different moving company, and thought that experience was top-notch. However, Om is a even step above that! The move itself was seamless - guys showed up exactly on time, got us out quickly, and everyone working was super-friendly and super-professional. They took all the precautions our landlords had asked about the brownstone's hallways and handled our larger, fragile pieces with care. We're only halfway done with our move with Om and I'm already writing a 5-star review... that's how good it was! I was referred to OM Moving when my first choice told me they were overbooked for my move weekend. I'm happy to say OM Moving completely lived up to their reputation. One of the most notable things about this team is they are not out to get business at any costs (which is unfortunately a common issue among moving companies). Before I agreed to move with OM, Yuval and I had a 20 minute talk about what would be best for me and my move. He totally understood that I might choose another company, but he was still happy to help me. That is the definition of client service. When the moving day came, the team arrived an hour early (another rarity among movers) and moved a bedroom and living room worth of stuff from NoLiTa to Meatpacking within 2.5 hours (including up 4 flights of stairs in my new apartment!). I didn't know moving could actually be a pleasurable experience until I recently used Om Moving to go from Brooklyn to Boston. Yuval was kind, courteous and professional every time we spoke, texted or emailed. I was forced to switch my move day a few times, and he consistently accommodated me and understood. He worked around my crazy schedule, which is in and of itself very rare. When his team arrived on moving day, they instantly set me at ease. They were so friendly and professional, extremely careful with my belongings, and completely understanding of the fact that moving is often emotional. They got all my things to Boston safely and soundly on THE SAME DAY--again, quite rare--and there was never any confusion or back and forth about the cost of this move. Great great great! This was our first time using a white glove service company (moving from the city to Long Island with our 10 month old) so we decided to have someone pack up for us. And it was the best decision ever. Yuval cares deeply about his company and his customers. He was on time for the initial quote appointment and had the best price (we spoke with 3 other companies). He proactively followed up with our building for the COI. Day of the move his guys packed up our 2 bedroom apartment in just a few hours (literally they walked into our place - as it was - we didn't have to "prep" anything for them). They even handled our grand Yamaha piano!! Nothing and I mean not one thing was broken. They got to our house on Long Island exactly when they said they would and seamlessly moved us in. I had a fantastic, easy experience with om moving. I had a 2-part move from Hoboken to Manhattan, and they gave me a great flat rate and most importantly were able to store my stuff for 2 the weeks in between my leases for pretty cheap. They were early for the move out, and got it all done in an hour, and they were extremely nice to work with. When they were running late for the move in due to traffic, they were extremely accommodating about my schedule. They managed it in under an hour. Yuval was nothing but professional and courteous, talking to me at length about the best day/time for my move and making it go smoothly. Om moving made our moving experience almost painless. Yuval was fantastic and came to our apartment the day after I contacted him for an estimate. The company then confirmed our move on two separate occasions, giving us tremendous peace of mind. On moving day, the movers arrived at the top of the estimated arrival hour and were so efficient we were out of our apartment at least two hours before I had estimated. Om was the only company willing to move us out of Brooklyn and into Washington DC on the same day. Our DC side was a bit easier with an elevator and loading dock and the movers were in and out in less than an hour! It was truly fantastic. Last month I used OM to move from Queens, NY to Atlanta, GA. Leading up to the move, management was incredibly polite and responsive, and returned every call, email and text right away. When the big day came, the whole team was super professional--on time (early, even!), fast, and pleasant. When they couldn't get the truck up the drive at our home in Atlanta, the guys carried EVERYTHING up a flight of stairs leading up from the street, another flight in front of the house, and then--in some cases--up to the second story, and without a peep of complaint. They are very up-front about pricing and how much everything will cost, and there were no hidden fees in the end. A cross-country move is not cheap, but this company is definitely worth the price! read more

I've moved a bunch of times in the past few years and these guys were far and away the best movers we've had. They were on time, efficient, friendly, calm, and courteous. They actually made the move an enjoyable experience, which is almost impossible to do. We had 4 guys and, without a word from myself or my husband, they seemed aware that we were paying them to do a service and to do it well (something that I haven't experienced with other moving professionals we've had in the past few moves). The guys from Om moved quickly and carefully, and if they had a question about what to do with something, they asked rather than just throwing it whichever way they pleased.
