My partner and I had dinner here last night, our interest piqued by it's Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition. At 5:30, it was quiet aside from the music and a few patrons dining. There are some half booths, tables and seating along the bar. There is an area to hang coats by the door. It's super moody in here with candles on the table and furniture made to look like painted tree stumps. To drink, we had the Michelada Clásica (probably the best michelada I've had in a while), La Ultima Palabra, some other cocktail and finally a glass of red titled something like Vinarství Martín Vajčner (they have a rotating wine list). Everything was fantastic. The same goes for the food. By the time our dinner arrived, the whole restaurant smelled delicious, like corn masa and queso fresco. We started with the sopes. These were perfection. Two little corn masa circles topped with plantains that were just the right amount of sweet (not too much), beans, cheese and an accompanying sauce. For our entrees, my boyfriend had the Chileatole, which can only be described as a truly healing soup (would get this if you're also trying to eat healthier. The vegetables in it were very fresh and tasty). I had the Roti Potato Tacos Dorados which were amazing. The potatoes were seasoned with curry powder I believe, making it really reminiscent of an Indian dish and the sauce was just right! Our server was great and consistently checked up on us, the food arrived on time and we really had no notes other than I wish the menu was bigger! I hope it rotates soon as I'd love to see different options.

Fast and friendly service. The drinks came fast and were ok. The roti potato tacos were delicious but the carne asada was a bit lack luster. The puree and their signature sauce were both quite sweet. I suppose I was hoping for something more savory. Cute place!

My friend and I came here the other night. I've had this place bookmarked for a while and I'm so…read moreglad we came. We made a reservation for early in the evening, and it was very quiet when we arrived. The space itself is lovely with comfortable velvet chairs, a nice bar, a stunning array of vinyls on display and a beautiful outdoor patio area. We opted to sit indoors, and service was excellent. Between the two of us, we ordered the sake flight, the never will I marry, the smoke stack and stolen moments (a NA beverage). We enjoyed all of our drinks and I thought mine were especially delicious and well balanced. We also ordered the popcorn as well as the burrata and hot honey, which was so good. I would definitely come back here again!

Get to the Chase:…read more Pros: 1. Drinks are well balanced, strong but not overpowering and delicious 2. Ambiance is nice; serving moody and yet relaxed; great selection of jazz vinyl 3. Bites are nice, and the complimentary spiced popcorn is a nice touch 4. 2 drinks, 1 conservas bite and a dessert and tax/tip was about $100 which isn't egregious (but also not cheap so be prepared) Cons: 1. Had 3 bartenders for a pretty small bar and none noticed my cup of water was empty for 20 min; not to mention one of them really didn't want to be there or is a super introvert and just there to make the drink and bye; would have hoped they tried a bit more to have a conversation or explain the philosophy/idea behind the bar/drinks etc (i mean i am paying 20% tip and it's a service industry) 2) The Awakening (tiramisu) was not that great; was on the sour side - maybe because of the chosen espresso beans which may be arabica, but wasn't pleasant; gave an impression of soured milk and coffee. Also the frozen ice cream just doesnt fit; more like a frozen affogato or sour klondike bar than a tiramisu Net net, still a great new place and perfect for dates, but not as strong on the service and desserts
