If you can brave these conditions, you will be rewarded! The atmosphere is as good as it gets, and you really feel like you've been sent back in time. There are so many cool, communal areas--a bar on the first floor, a lounge with a working piano on the second. You'll even find a balcony with some seating and one of the best views in town. It's in the center of downtown, and walking distance from almost anywhere around here you'd want to go. Not to say there isn't any room for improvement. The weather is splendid most of the year, I'm sure, but this uniquely scorching summer overpowered their antiquated AC in the middle of the day. I don't like the old-timey bathtub with the 360 curtain, but I have to admit that it looks cool. There's room for some sort of shelf in the bathroom, but I guess they never got around to that.
