I had heard of this cocktail lounge from a few people and finally got to try it out. It's the Bees Knees (yes, that's also a drink on their menu). It was a busy Saturday night but a table was found for us quickly, tucked in the back. The menu descriptions are whimsical and amusing, which means you take longer to make your selection because it all sounds enticing. Fortunately, we were waited on by Coco - author of said prose on the menu. She helped whittle down our order with knowledgeable insights and a fun attitude. First, we had to start with their award winning classic martini - 8 times Seattle champions? How could you not be curious? Deliciously cold and crisp; the olive was perfectly briny. We ordered some mixed nuts and marinated olives to accompany the drinks. The olives were unfortunately too vinegary so we returned them (which was handled gracefully and without question), but the nuts were delicious so we ordered another bowl to replace the olives. We had intended to move on to the next bar, but couldn't get the description of our first choice of drinks out of our minds. So we placed our order and settled in for the night... The Corpse Reviver No2 was a perfect balance of tart, sweet, and refreshing. The Last Stroh tasted like a next level Manhattan - superb. Atmosphere and people watching was great, conversation was flowing. The vibe just called for another round of the same drinks, this time with Parmesan garlic fries. These were hot, crispy, and topped generously with Parmesan and a mixture of fresh minced garlic and parsley. Sometimes chopped garlic can get too pungent; this was delicious. In conclusion, great cocktails which are well poured, generous snack servings, and attentive service team with good timing. Coco made our night and launches the review from 4 stars to a 5.
If you love cocktails, especially martinis, then this is the place to visited. It's a well known or institutional place for martinis for Seattle. And I had been here countless of times, sat at the bar, the tables or on the lobby side since it's quite popular, especially in the evenings, weekends, and holidays. The drinks are just exceptional well tailored make if you know you know. You can requested on what is or are specific things you want in your drink and just sit back and watch the magic create right in front of you (if you lucky to seat at the bar). Are the prices reasonable? Sure if you count the making of your drink. It is definitely worth it, you can go home and cry later. You will not disappointed!
I was so disappointed when I came to Oliver's while recently visit visiting in Seattle. I had been craving a dirty martini with blue cheese olives, and so I finally searched and found that Oliver's was the place to go. The bar is beautiful. It's connected to a historic hotel and has windows on the corners of the bar on a busy corner in Seattle. Great for people watching.. I had gotten there right around 6 o'clock and a big group of people were just leaving the bar. The bartender was clearly frustrated as I'm sure that was a lot of people to serve at one time and then to clean up after them after they left. . however, frustrated or not after he brought me my water it took him a long time to get my drink order and then they had no more blue cheese. All of the left. I asked him how long it would take for him to make them I could clearly tell he was not happy with my question. He said it would take at least 20 minutes so I had my dirty martini with standard olives and went on my way. It was a shame because I really wanted to find a little martini bar right in the city for my next visit although Oliver's was an extremely great bar great location. I'll need to go to a different place. The next time I'm in town for my extra dirty martinis.
Nice bar albeit a bit pricey in my opinion. For my only drink I purchased here, I ordered an Uptown Margarita that was one of the House Special drinks. The drink was composed of Reposada Tequila, Elderflower liquor and lime juice. Although my drink was well made it really came across as a Tequilla based Martini versus a real Margarita and I was not a fan of the Elderflower. Having said that I saw plenty of happy customers enjoying their drinks and will chalk it up to a poor selection on my part. Bartender was quite friendly and bar itself was clean and melded nicely into the hotel retro/classy theme. Overall I would say that if you just looking for the convenience of a close bar that can make just about any drink you can think of and don't mind paying a little more for your drinks than this bar will definately fit the bill for you. However, if your more price conscious as I am there are cheaper options to be found walking down the streets of this district.
The most perfectly prepared bacon and eggs I've ever had!!! Quick, pleasant and very accommodating staff. This little nook of a restaurant in the mayflower park hotel is a thick slice of decadence! An unexpected delight! Great coffee too.
In-hotel bar with limited dining menu, quality drinks, solid food, high prices, and ok service. Had drinks and a meal here during my stay at the Mayflower this week and wasn't too enamored by the rude waitstaff at times, but the drinks were great and burger well-made. My personal favorites from here were the sides pictured with my drinks below (pita and hummus, bread and whipped butter). For whatever reason, that whipped butter blew me away. And the hummus was just perfect. We came back later in the night on the same day of our initial visit (where we had the drinks and sides) for dinner and took a seat in the hotel lobby (since some of our party was under 21 and they'll serve you dinner outside the bar). The host and waitstaff were both very curt and rude while addressing our group this time however, unprovoked. Bit unfortunate since we had a nice experience just earlier in the day. Overall, would recommend stopping by for a few happy hour drinks and sides but nothing more.
The ambiance is very chic and classy, but also quite classic. The drink list was really comprehensive so there's something for everyone. Both the cocktails and our baguette were lovely. The service was timely and attentive too. Very pretty hotel!
Just came for drinks. Oliver's has a nice old-school atmosphere. Good service and a drink menu with lots of choices. Recommended
I love this lounge! Oliver's is a must-visit whenever we are in Seattle. They make the best martini I have ever had - the drunken olives are amazing. The bartender is outstanding, we tried several cocktails and all of them were delicious. We love the vibe, the people watching on 4th is always entertaining

Small and fast Good service Food was bland, but not bad. Got the garden salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was cooked well and delicious. The dressing was boring and definitely was missing flavor. BLT was not bad, but not great either. Not too bad for a hotel restaurant. The ingredients were fresh.
Nice bar and restaurant located in the Mayflower Park Hotel downtown. The huge floor to ceiling windows and upscale decor makes this a great place to have a bite and drinks. The shrimp cocktail was fresh with a spicy cocktail sauce that was fantastic. All the drinks were expertly crafted with my favorite being the Urban Oasis. This cocktail was made with a house-infused white pepper-strawberry gin (fantastic), Aperol, and Brut Rose and is a must have. Last but not least, the service was perfectly and did not have to wait for anything. They also have Sunday brunch and I will be back to try more dishes soon.
Located in the Mayflower Hotel, Oliver's Lounge is the best bar I should visit more often. My friend and I came after watching a symphony performance at Benaroya and did not feel over dressed. It has this classy, low-key ambiance where people who want to drink solid craft cocktails go. It wasn't very busy when we visited and we were prompted to sit wherever we liked. Our waiter was fantastic - he was engaging, funny, and charming. He regularly checked in with us and had lovely conversation. The drinks were fantastic - well balanced, delicious. The Aviation cocktail is easily the best Aviation I've drank in King County. It was perfectly balanced with not too much creme de violette. The Bee's Knees was also exceptionally, though I may not opt for the egg whites next time because I didn't find it enhanced the flavor but did add a unique textural component. We ended with the s'mores which admittedly got us giggling a bit after watching the movie The Menu, but I can say if this was what s'mores would've tasted like when I was a kid I'd never stop eating them. The marshmallow was exquisite - the best I've tasted. It was an awesome experience.

Trader Vic's Mai Tai - "A" for effort. The cocktail was still tasty but Trader Vic's Mai Tai it was not. It just didn't have the good marriage of sour and sweet than actually having the Mai Tai at one of the Trader Vic's location. My 3rd drink was Silver Belle is their award winning Martini. Oh, it's good. Also, I love Edlerberries. So, it was just what I needed. My 2nd & 4th drink was Cucumber Basil Gimlet. The bartender, Greg, was so amazing! I mentioned that I haven't had Cucumber Gimlet since Bourbon & Branch's Library. He then asked on of the servers to grab Basil from the restaurant kitchen and he made me the drink! Kudos Greg! Sorry for not making it back before close, the chicken wings from Buffalo Wild Wings gave me food coma and I didn't make it back down to the lounge. read more

Thank god for Oliver's Lounge. I was supposed to meet a bunch of friends for a post-COVID reunion at the Mayflower Park Hotel, but their flight had mechanical problems and they couldn't arrive in Seattle until the next day. Oliver's outrageously good martinis definitely softened the blow that night. Really elegant setting. The burger and fries were pretty great, too. read more

Once again HH was perfect! It was of course busy (first weekend in December), but we got a table big enough for our party of 7. Bartender messed up the Manhattans (threw out the ice we like to mix in to keep the drink ya know drinkable...) So he made us minis along with our regulars!! The peanuts on the table are always yummy and they also offer hot food if your in the bar... Looked like onion rings and Mac and cheese! So festive.... I just adore this place for the holidays! The lunch the previous day wasn't great...and neither was my room service salad... So the HH is worth it but maybe not the food. read more

Just stopped in for a drink but this place is really beautiful with vintage decor. It's located inside the lobby of the historic Mayflower Park Hotel so you enter through the ornate lobby. We saw there is an Italian restaurant, Andaluca, located off the lobby as well and could make a fun night to start with drinks here at Olivers then walk across the lobby to Andaluca. We're going to try that next time! The cocktails were good and the service was great- the host, manager, and bartender all stopped by our table at leasand we're very friendly. read more

"Oliver's holds the title for Seattle's 'Best Classic,' as well as having won the titles for 'Best Specialty Martini' and 'Best International Classic Martini.'" If you prefer a dirty martini, go with the Classic. And if you prefer a 'refreshing' and sweeter martini, go with the Silver Belle. Both are award-winning cocktails and rightfully so! We stayed at the Mayflower Park hotel 4 nights in August and went to Oliver's several times during our stay. Every time the drinks were fantastic. The Aviation was our favorite. They are delicious and strong. Will was a great bartender and we enjoyed our conversations with him. The lounge is beautiful and classy. We really loved our stay at this hotel! read more
Casual, relaxing, and sophisticated atmosphere. Today's complementary happy hour treat...mini corn dog bites!!! Omg, yum and so fun. The bartenders are so nice and accommodating, white glove service all the way-thank you Christopher and Eliseo!!! Quick service and well made hand crafted drinks! Free appetizers for everyone! Now that that's caught your eye.... haha. I met up with my friend Amy here yesterday after work around 4:30. They do not have a happy hour menu per say, but they do have a daily free appetizer they put out. I think it was dished out around 4:45-5 pm yesterday. Amy had heard this place had free apps and wanted to try it out. Yesterday's free app: fried pickles with a dill dipping sauce of some sort, and grilled pita with hummus! This bar is inside of the Mayflower Park Hotel. So it feels a bit fancy when you walk in. We sat at the bar the whole time. I never felt it got too crowded in here yesterday. The bartender and service in general was great. Drinks we ordered: - drink of the day, Ginger Lemon Drop - Mai Tai The bartender whipped up a drink of the day on the whim and it was tasty! Mai Tai was served all fancy too. Great spot to sit and catch up with a friend! read more

I make it a point to stop at Olivers each time I'm in Seattle. Great relaxing Ambiance. Old school solid cocktail menu. My usual go to is the Sazerac. Wife enjoys the Lemon Drop. The bartenders do a good job. Never tried the food, but it's a go to drink spot. I'll continue to stop in each time I'm in Seattle. read more

We ventured down to Oliver's when we found ourselves too tired to go anywhere else, and found the most delightful dining experience we've had in several years. This is not your typical restaurant; the waitstaff and bartenders are true professionals, and the food is out of this world! We ordered the Wagyu burger with Parmesan garlic fries and the pan-roasted lemon-Aleppo chicken. Both were delicious; the chicken...I can't even describe how delicious it was. Our drinks (Silver Belle and Bees Knees) were probably the most sophisticated I've ever had, and were delicious. This isn't your typical hotel lounge; if you want a unique Seattle dining experience that is a cut above, this is your place. read more

If you are in the mood for a great conversation spot with excellent traditional drinks this is the place to be. The fiancé and I were looking for a place to relax and enjoy a nice drink after a heavy day of exploring and this hit the spot. Our server was fantastic and attentive. The classic martini is the best I've ever had! The aviation while not my go to was enjoyable and so was the rest of the evening. This is not the place if you're looking to party, it is definitely more suitable for those who seek an enjoyable calm and relaxed environment. read more
Great place for late night HH. We were served peanuts as soon as we sat down. From the HH menu, we ordered the garlic parmesan fries and the sliders. The fries hit the spot and was really good. The sliders were not bad, but felt a bit dry and bland to me. We also had 3 cocktails from the regular menu, all of them were great. We'll probably be back again another time for HH on a weeknight! read more

A coworker and I were looking for a new place to do happy hour and decided to give Oliver's Lounge, inside the Mayflower Park Hotel, a try. Heck, once I heard "free snacks," I was pretty much hooked. When you go in the main hotel entrance, the bar is immediately to your left. It looks a bit dark and small, but once you go in, you'll see that it opens up into a nice, light, high-ceilinged space with windows all around the corner of the building. With lots of plants and brass fixtures, it feels like a fancy tearoom or a conservatory. Fancy! The server explained that they don't really have happy hour drink specials, but "the drinks are basically doubles," and they do have a daily special cocktail for $10. The specialty cocktail that day was a Dark & Stormy, and it was good -- served in a tall glass, a generous pour, and a spicy ginger beer that made it not overly sweet. I had a greyhound after finding out that they use fresh-squeezed juices in their drinks, and it tasted fresh and tart. As for the free appetizers, there's a small table set up in a corner with platters of snacks, and the selection seems to change daily. When we were there, it was a large plate of nachos with salsa and a platter of pizza-roll-type empanada things. The cheese on the nachos seemed to be cold as soon as it was brought out and it didn't look like it was being replaced too often. I wasn't very impressed by the food and wouldn't make that a main reason to return. The clientele is a mix of downtown office workers and tourists who seem to be staying at the hotel, so the dress code is pretty casual and you don't need to be dressed up or anything. Apparently you can reserve tables (maybe only if you're a large group and/or have business with the hotel?), and the bar is on the small side, so it fills up quickly. The restroom is in the hotel lobby and you'll need to ask for the door code to get in. Overall, a pleasant and upscale-feeling hotel bar to have strong, well-made drinks, but if your happy hour isn't complete without really good food, you might want to look elsewhere. read more

Oliver's is located inside of the Mayflower hotel, the bar tender (I've had Jason the past two evenings) is very knowledgeable, never made me feel rushed and I could tell this was a great spot w/so many regulars! I had the Classic martini, a little dirty and it is so tasty! Great place to people watch as well!! read more

You wouldn't suspect this place of being great from the street because it's a hotel bar - but it's a secret find. Comfortable/cozy, good place to grab a drink after work downtown, good place to go for a quick drink with a date. It has the feel of a bar that's been around for a century, super friendly bartenders, and most important - great cocktails. And of course, one of our favorites on their menu: The BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato) - served with a slice of bacon! read more
On a recent trip to Seattle, the friend I was traveling with and I were in the area looking for a fun happy hour spot. Noticing the high star rating of Oliver's, we decided to give it a try. Four words - Thank God for Yelp! This place was perfect! The decor is all very well maintained vintage everything! The hotel this lounge is located in - the Mayflower Park Hotel - is a perfectly maintained slice of of the late 20's. Some older hotels/restaurants/locations in general can sometimes feel ancient and stuffy but somehow, walking into this place was more relaxing and nostalgic. Our server was Lea and she was entertaining, energetic, helpful, informative, speedy, and sweet. Our service was great overall. Even the bartender was very nice and very helpful on our quest to choose the right wine to pair with our appetizer plate. Next time I'm in Seattle, I'm definitely coming back here! Popped in for a quick cocktail. I ordered the Vesper and my husband ordered the sidecar... Both drinks were excellent! I highly recommend this place for drinks. It is inside the Mayflower Hotel and has a cool old school vibe. We sat at the bar and service was great! I'll definitely come back. read more
