In town for a girls day and Saturday Brunch. You can learn a lot about a restaurant when you sit directly opposite the kitchen! I know why I had a hair in my salad. While all baseball caps were on and turned around there were no guards on beards. While my server was mortified by the hair, I was able to watch the kitchen staff look annoyed. Such a shame. In addition, the consistent eating by the kitchen staff was interesting. Were they taking directly off the grill or just off customers plates? Needless to say we won't be back. read more

The food was fantastic. Our lovely servers/bartenders were so great in recommending the perfect dinner and drinks. Their names are Christen, Brooklyn, and Ciara. They provided us with the best service! My friend told Christian to pick out two apps and surprise us. She asked about allergies and then brought out the tempura cauliflower and the Caprice. They both were amazing and so fresh! For our main course we got the Vodka chicken pasta and it did not disappoint! Don't miss the chocolate martini (my fav) or the Expresso martini! Located in historic downtown Macon, this corner bistro satisfied all my hungry desires! I am gluten free but love French and Italian food, making my meal choices a struggle between flavor and health. Nevertheless, Oliver's came threw big time. The modern bistro was clean and an inviting space for lunch/dinned dates, meeting or more. The service was excellent and friendly, assisting with any needs. I got the Super Food Salad with Salmon and it was actually the BEST salad I have ever had. The salmon was perfectly cooked and flavors all together were the perfect mix of sweet and tangy with fruit, goat cheese and lemon. I am very picky with restaurants, wanting to feel safe and have healthy, fresh, yummy food. I will defiantly be coming back here and taking others with me! read more

Driving through Georgia, and stopped here for lunch. I ordered the Reuben with sweet frites. Hubby ordered a sandwich with the Gouda mac n cheese. The one thing I'd say is that the mac n cheese was a little too salty. Other than that, everything was delicious! Definitely will want to come back if we're in the area. read more

We made last minute reservations for a Saturday night dinner with friends. We had pork nachos and sweet potato fries for the table as appetizers . Both were super yummy, the perfect way to start the meal. We had some of the pasta dishes as well as the New York strip. The steak was cooked properly & it was flavorful. Some mixed reviews on the pasta dishes. My boyfriend wasn't crazy about his gnocchi, but our friend very much enjoyed his rigatoni. We dined indoors. It was a lovely medium-lit atmosphere and not too loud. Will return next time I'm visiting our friends in Macon. read more

We stopped in for a quick lunch on our way through town and were very pleased. Lunch was super tasty and super quick. The kraut on the reuben was rinsed properly, so it wasn't overwhelming. The pastrami was delicious, thinly sliced, beautifully cured but not dry. The sandwich was plenty moist without the dressing (I don't like 1000 island). Put this one in the column for the pastrami side of the great reuben debate. The bisque was a warm hug with a light flavor that was less squashy than I expected. My gentleman friend who is now driving and thinks I'm giving him a hard time says the turkey sandwich was "tasty". Pressed, he said: "Very tasty. A masterpiece of deli meats. A vivid reimagining of a turkey sandwich. I don't know." Of special note, I drink a lot of iced tea. This tea was especially flavorful. Depth of whatever but no bitterness. I drink my tea mostly unsweet with a splash of sweet to take the edge off the leaf, but this leaf had no edge. I don't think I've ever remarked on the tea anywhere but a tea shop. Super lovely. Oh. And all of this was accomplished in less than 20 minutes. If we hadn't had stuff in the back of the truck that we needed to get back to, I'd have felt I was being abrupt. I've been here a couple times and was told to come back from brunch. The first time I had an amazing salad and the second time I had a Turkey melt. i absolutely love the food here and drinks. my server/ bartender was brooklyn i came here three times already and i've been here in macon 3 months now it's definitely on the pricey side but i consider this a five star restaurant here in macon. considering we don't have much fine dining places it's a bit small here but the food makes up for it. the appetizer are delectable the most recent time i came i got the nachos and they were so good and a big portion they are not regular nachos the chips are thicker so it'll fill you up but they were a 100/10 i also tried the salad i forgot the name but it was tomato with cheese and that was delicious more on the lighter side you can't go wrong the drinks were good also i liked the Paloma i had another blue berry drink but it had dark liquor i'm not a fan... it was really good though. i had the ny strip for my main course with chimichurri asparagus and mashed potatoes it was so delicious the pasta is good also but the steak is my favorite so far. the cheesecake i had i think it was caramels so goood read more

After frequenting this place too many times to count for myself, family and several doctor's offices...tonight was nothing short of terrible! My daughter's boyfriend flew in from Philly, we wanted an elegant spot to celebrate. We made reservations with Katy(love her) a week or more ago. Tonight, my pasta dish was cold and bland. I asked the waitress for another dish, she obliged. A few minutes later the waitress notified me that the owner(female) would NOT remove the charge from my total for the bland cold pasta dish. While we later resolved this issue, the mere fact that we were told this initially was alarming and disappointing as well. This treatment tainted my views as well as my families and as a result I won't be returning. In addition, should an office ask or request Oliver's, I'll recommend Bonefish or Carraba's. Will gladly spend money elsewhere. read more

We stopped by Oliver's on our way to Savannah and it was a perfect stop. Downtown Macon is really cute and clean. It has the old time American town vibe. Really cute little spot. The food is always good and the service is usually very professional. Great for brunch or lunch, I can't speak to dinner since we have only done takeout. A go to for out of town visitors... casual but nice! The superfood salad with salmon is my favorite . I wish they had more vegetarian options for my friends but they will make changes to items if you have any dietary restrictions. The cute to go bags are a nice touch! My problem is this...The hubs had a couple of beers. They were priced good at 6$ each. I had red wine, which was a bit pricy, at 12$ per glass. I can handle that, but when I ask for a little more salad dressing and you charge me an additional $1.25, I have a problem! I've eaten here several times, but when you "knit pick" and charge extra for condiments, I draw the line! Charges for condiments should be figured into the price of the meal. I cannot remember our servers name, but she was an absolute peach, and one of the best servers I've ever ever had in my life. Really. This is not what I'm use to. The tuna tartar is supposed to be served with a wasabi cream. Instead it was served with sweet whipped cream. Disgusting. When asked, the chef said they ran out of wasabi earlier in the week. Hello, heard of a grocery store? The waiter offered gelato. Ordered. Oh wait, we ran out of that earlier in the week. Really. My husband and I went here on a Friday night for some dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance of the restaurant is so nice! I normally don't leave reviews and I downloaded this app to leave this review. We stopped in after road tripping from FL with two children (1 and 3.5 yr old) after parking I walked up and saw "please see host before sitting sign" so I went inside with the baby in the stroller while my mom and other child was getting out of car. Host told me they were getting tables ready and would sit us shortly, I went back outside and let her know we would wait outside. While waiting outside another group of four people came and sat at table then went in to let host know they sat, not even a minute later someone came out and gave them menus while me and the children and mother were standing in the sun waiting to be sat. No one acknowledged us outside after the fact or told us they would be right with us etc? I can't comment whether or not the food was good but I would say based on this experience it's prob best just to sit yourself and wait for them to come to table instead of going and finding host etc. we were all very hungry and traveling with two kids is hard enough so getting out of the car and waiting for a seat in the sun while the host does or doesn't do her job isn't ideal after a road trip. I would not suggest this place if you are in similar situation, or hungry and wanting to have quick service. There were about 8 tables outside and two occupied so it's not like it was slammed or anything and it was on a Sunday around 1:30. I'm hangry while typing this but still very frustrated and annoyed at situation. Maybe in future I will give them another try and just sit myself and will be able to leave a diff review.
