Usually, when I eat at Olive Garden, I order soup & salad. The pasta e fagioli is pretty darn good and the salad is always fresh & chilled perfectly. On a crazy whim, I ordered the Tour of Italy. When did their food get so bad??? The chicken parm was made out of a frozen breaded patty, lasagna and Alfredo were nothing special. I'm sure I could have microwaved Stouffer's and it would have been better. My friend had the shrimp scampi which was equally as bad. The food is way over priced for the poor quality of ingredients used. On this occasion the service was sub par as well. We were left hanging for quite a while when we were finished eating as the server never checked on us after dropping off the food. It will probably be a long time before I eat at an Olive Garden again. If I do, I'll stick to the soup & salad. read more

Had a birthday dinner for my wife there last night ,we had spaghetti, and all you can eat soup,salad,and breadsticks ,their meals are always the same very plain tasting,like they came out of a plastic bag and heated up. The spaghetti was way to over done almost mushy,the best part of the meal was the kale and sausage soup. They made us wait for a table for 35 minutes, all they asked for was our name and did NOT ask for our phone number. We left for the recommended amount of time and when we came back, our table had been given to someone else. When we came back into the restaurant, the worker rudely told us that we should have gotten a text even though they did NOT ask for a phone number. UPDATE: Ok so after leaving my review guest relations responded and asked me to email them more details. After I did so they gave an extremely generic apology and said exactly " I've shared your email with the management team at our Gresham Olive Garden and asked for you to be contacted. Our managers typically respond by the same method our guests contact us, so you can expect an email from them within a day or so." Maybe I'm being ridiculous but I'm pretty disappointed to report that management NEVER reached our. There was no apology. No promises of bettering staff/ customer relations. Instead I received an automated email FROM GUEST RELATIONS saying "as promised" they were giving me a $50 gift card... I realize the gesture was meant to compensate us for our lousy experience but I can pay for my own dinner. Instead I would have appreciated management contacting me and letting me know they wouldn't tolerate that behavior and that they were working on it. Not only did that not happen but management never even reached out like guest relations had actually promised. To me that just solidifies my point that this location is in dire need of some staff turn over! We came in to celebrate my husband and sons birthday and left feeling extremely disrespected and frustrated. You can keep your $50. You literally could could not pay me to eat at this location or any other location for that matter. My son LOVES Olive Garden and we've been going to this location every year since his second birthday (he turns nine tomorrow.). We came in tonight because today is my husband's birthday. Our first sever was awful. She had the worst attitude from the very start. She got upset when we asked for straws (she brought them about 20 minutes later and literally tossed them on our table rather than handing them to any of the six adults sitting there.). Four of us ordered the chicken gnocchi soup. Of the four bowls be got i kid you not we got one single gnocchi. One gnocchi in total. Not one in each bowl. Literally one gnocchi in only one of the four bowls we ordered.... when we brought it to her attention (politely! We're always very polite but especially when in a situation where someone could mess with our food. It's an actual phobia of mine!) she replied with the worst attitude "sure... I'll get you a side of gnocchi." Before storming off. Rather than just bringing out new soups (because let's face it without the gnocchi it's basically just a bowl of cream) she brought out side sauce dishes like the one pictured for us which were all covered in soup as if she literally just scooped soup out of a pot. Mind you she brought them 15-20 minutes after we let her know so by the time she brought these out our soups had gone cold. My husband and I sent ours back. We NEVER send stuff back but with her poor attitude and response added on to the fact that our "soup" was now cold we weren't about to eat it out of guilt. At this point she got insanely petty. She cleared my husband's but left mine for the remainder of our meal. At this point we had now been there at our table over half an hour. Our party consisted of six adults and five kids. We had received our drinks, salads and soups which were all empty. She had not returned to bus our table, refill anything or bring out our appetizers so my husband finally asked to speak to the manager. He never does this. The manager was extremely understanding and apologetic. He was shocked at her remedy for the gnocchi and said he intended to talk to her about that because he couldn't believe how she handled it. He also assigned us a new server at my husband's request (thank you Alexis! You were awesome!). Before our server from hell was replaced she brought out our entrees where she refuses to look at or speak to me. She instead walked past me with both my husband and I'd meals. Asked which one he wanted and then set mine down before storming off and slamming plates on her tray. As we left the restaurant she and a handful of other employees stood at the front clearly talking about us as she dramatically moved away as we walked past. My husband heard her say that's them and turned around to see them all staining and laughing. So unprofessional. Being from Hawaii, I wanted to go here first to eat when I came to visit a friends in Oregon. I actually ended up coming here again for dinner the last night before I left to go back home as well. Endless soup / salad and breadsticks I was so excited. Got the Zuppa(sp?) soup, it was okay, but dipping the breadsticks in them made it amazing. Second time coming I got the salad. It was a good salad, but the breadsticks weren't as good because there wasn't the soup to dip them in. (I recommend the soup) Main course I had the Spaghetti and Italian Sausage. It was was classing Spaghetti with two pieces of sausage. Pretty big portion, and since the soup and breadsticks was free refills, I could only eat about half of the Spaghetti. The second time I got the smoked mozzarella chicken. I don't like cheese but this dish was not cheesy at all. The chicken was cooked perfectly, nice and soft and moist and the pasta was good. The Penne pasta was a nice touch to make it feel lighter. ( I recommend the Smoked mozzarella chicken) Dessert I had the Limoncello Mousse. It was light and good. I was already full from the salad, breadsticks, and dinner that I didn't even finish the dessert. The lemon taste came out perfectly, not to overwhelming or sour and the crust on the bottom was light and tasty. Also was not a fan of the house red, so got the chianti instead to eat with my meals. (Italian wine with Italian food) Overall, it wasn't the best Italian food I've eaten, but it was good for the price. Also considering the soup and breadsticks are a great combo and unlimited. He was there, before we need to ask for help. Prompt! 2. Tasty food. 3. Delicious salad, we could eat that all day! 4. Unlimited soup, salad & bread sticks. The bread was baked exactly how I like it, just enough of the color 'brown' bread, unlike the others - they have excuses after another, why they can't make their oven temperature just right or it will make the bread too brown - crispy! This one, was JUST RIGHT, everyone made positive compliments about the bread. We got seated right away, Hannah was our server and she was exceptional. Super friendly. I ordered pasta and it came out super quick as wEll as the rest of our food, my friend ordered one of the steaks and it came out wrong. She offered to tAke it back and remake the correct one but my friend didn't mind ate it. Not impressed. Very few other customers inside of the restaurant. We (3 of us) arrived about 3pm and were put on a waiting list. 10 minutes later, we were seated. Our section had 6 tables, 2 occupied. Once we were seated, one of the other customers left. Waitress came and took drink order and came back for our meal order. Brought soup, salad and bread sticks and promptly brought meals. Server did not return to check in, we had to ask another server for salt. When our server did come back, we asked for take out containers. No paper bag was offered to carry our food out. When the server brought our check, the machine at the table wasn't working, so she had to manually run our card. When she returned, she stood there, hovering, until my husband filled it out and signed it. Food was "ok" not the quality we usually get. I understand that staffing might be an issue, but our service was nothing even close to what one would expect when paying $20/plate. read more

Came by for a quick lunch. They didn't let me sit on the bar cause I only had my military ID on me and I guess they don't accept it. So I moved to a table. It took them quite a bit to check up on me again after I moved seats. I ordered the the unlimited Zuppa Toscano, my favorite at Olive Garden. I am not sure how I feel giving them a 3 star, but I have eaten here enough to know I better be giving my money to at least a 3 star place. They are not my first choice, but I don't fall over and play dead when somebody says, 'hey, let's it the OG'. I had not been to an Olive Garden until about three years ago. Sometimes they are good for lunch or a quick dinner on the way back up the mountain. This last time in, however, I ventured off the spaghetti and onto some odd ball sauce they were pushing, mushroom Alfredo or something close to it, but it could have seriously been paste, zero flavor. I did ask if they could bring me a side of marinara so I could cut it in. Since it was the all you could eat pasta going on, the waitress said she'd trade it out, but I didn't want to waste it, and just lived with it, well half of it. i was done then. The salads are always good and I like having the ranch or italian here on the side, so they don't drown it. Go, enjoy, it is not that bad of a place. Prices are average. read more

I've never had a more disappointing meal at Olive Garden. The one time I don't order pasta- and I regret it. I decided to order the appetizer trio. Their entrees are so big that I never usually order an appetizer. So I never get to try them and they always have something new. The shrimp breading was too salty, the pasta chips were awful, and I realized why they don't show a picture of the zucchini bites on the menu. They are just balls of fried cheese, with enough zucchini shavings to show dots of green when you open it up. And they drowned my date's salad in dressing. So please, ease up on the Italian dressing for tossing. You can always offer more if the customer asks. I left full, but with fond memories of only the kiwi lemonade. read more

I don't usually come here often, but I wanted to celebrate my birthday here. I wanted a table for 6 and the two young ladies at the front desk told me that it was going to be a 30 to an hour wait which I was fine with. 45 mins passed and I went inside to check in again how long until we get a table. The 2 young ladies told me that they had sent me a text an hour ago which was not true because I didn't get a text and I know it hadn't been an hour and they told me that I was off the list because I was late. I also have to point out that when they girl asked me for my info she didn't even hesitate to ask for my number, I told her how was I supposed to get notified? And I proceeded to give her my number... I'm wondering if these people that they hire know how to do their job? I was really upset so I went somewhere else where I had a better service. Was there on a Sunday night. Sat right away. 5 and a high chair. Drink orders taken and served ok. Orders taken ok. About 25 minutes later our orders arrive except for the 3 year olds who ordered buttered noodles. Waiter said would be right out. We finished our dinners and the buttered noodles still hadn't arrived after being told repeatedly he would check! Really buttered noodles can't come out of the kitchen in a timely manner!! Bread sticks were never offered for refill either...don't know what was happening there but clearly they need some help. Manager was called over and gave us "free" donut dessert if you can call a $100 dinner with terrible service free!! read more

Olive Garden is a secret vice of mine. Yes I realize it's not very Italian, yes I realize that it's not the greatest food.....but I'm a sucker for their soup, salad and bread sticks. Hints for when you have to deal with Olive Garden: 1. Sit in the bar....service is better, drinks come faster and you avoid pesky noisy small children. 2. Taste the wine before getting a glass. I've gotten some nasty weird wines that tasted like grape soda....but I realize that some people might like that. 3. Realize that portion sizes here are gigantic-you will never finish it all...don't even try. So I do enjoy heading here during the winter and having a nice bowl of soup and a glass of wine. Pretty disappointed tonight in our experience with this place. The waitress was beyond poor quality. Started out fine and then just took a turn for the absolute worst. Chicken yokie or however it's spelled with out the main part to the soup for the entire table. 4 orders messed up. To make it worse they brought us side of the missing ingredient 5 minutes later after the soup became cold. Olive Garden has gone down hill, it's frustrating, such a great place to eat we can't count on good service, not even aim for great just good. The past 3 years we have had parties of 8+ come through and they provide one server. One server isn't enough. I feel bad for the waiter in this case, to try and keep up with drinks and refills of soup salad it's impossible. But tonight was the icing on the cake. I really don't care to eat in the restaurant anymore. Maybe order to go. Maybe. Best of luck, I can't be the only one fed up. Stopped in for Never Ending Pasta Bowl. I usually LOVE Olive Garden but I was not happy with my dinner tonight. Our server was nice at first but midway through our meal something must have happened because her whole attitude changed. The pasta in the dish I ordered was really mushy and the sauce didn't really have flavor. The manager happened to walk by and asked if everything was ok and I told him the issue. Miscommunication from hostess when checking in, gave us our time to wait and never asked my name to fully check us in. Spoke to a manager on the phone while waiting in my car and got it figured out. Was greeted by Bri our Waitress. Bri seemed overwhelmed by some other customers (which I had noticed weren't the best customers honestly since sitting by them). Overall, she was very nice and professional to us! Ordered our food, our food did take a long time but the manager came out to apologized which am great full for. Communication is key. Informed us waiting on more mashed potatoes to be made. He ended up comping the kids meal and our Alfredo sauce for the inconvenience for our food taking so long. Food was DELICIOUS!! Order was perfect. Manager felt bad for the reoccurring issues during our dinner so he gifted us a gift card. SO NICE!! Thank you!! We will be back. **People! During this pandemic and COVID times, wait times are longer to eat at restaurants, they are short staffed and prob exhausted. Be nice to your servers! Went here today (10/26/19) around noon/1pm and don't think I'll be coming back to this location. I sat at the bar because it's quicker than waiting for a table...or so I thought. Sat down, took over 5 min for the girl to even recognize that I was there, ordered my food (soup, salad and breadsticks) which is normally something they bring to u in a matter of minutes but not today...took her about 15 min to realize she forgot about me then asked another co-worker to get it for her and took even longer, and the kicker, I had to ask for my own silverware. She doesn't come around and ask how my food is or if everything's good, just nothing. Very inattentive. Employees standing in the bar, in plain view of all customers, on their cell phones. First time they forgot our drinks and added shrimp and charged for them, I nicely called to simply get the drinks off the card and the manager said he would just send me a $25 gift card via email in the morning. Loved that, but it never happened. Called customer service and a lady who was head of guest relations called me back. She was very nice and emailed me a $50 gift card for the trouble. That is good customer service! My review is a reflection of this location, not her. Then tonight we get some more takeout and I had my boyfriend check everything and yet again, the shrimp was forgot so he had to wait for more to be cooked because apparently the waitress thought "it was weird" that a side of shrimp was in the bag so she threw it in the trash? Do they not look at the order and see the added shrimp to an entrée? This is not rocket science here, it's literally take out. Get it together people. read more

I would not eat at gresham Olive Garden. I went in to see if there was a table available and was told 10-15 minute. i stated that I would wait gave them my name and sat down. While waiting there were 4 other families that came into the restaurant after me and they were told the same time frame all of those other families were seated while I still waited with no explanatio. We were so looking forward to special evening out. Unfortunately prior business took us to the Gresham area. Thinking that if we went to the Olive Garden, even though the location isn't the greatest.... it's Olive Garden. They have a reputation for good run of the mill Italian food. Right? Wrong! Everyone seemed in a hurry. The food was unappealing and cold. My husband ordered the tour if Italy. It was all from the same town. Not even the consistency of the dishes were different. Mush. I was so looking forward to the new "zoodles" with chicken. They were all out of "zoodles". So much for that. First disappointment. The server at the next table spilled my beer all over the table and right into my lap. He did apologize profusely. They weren't quick with the clean up. I ended up with a beer-soaked butt. Not comfortable to say the least. The manager came over and comped the beer. I was a bit flustered by then. I ended up ordering the chicken piccata. The mashed potatoes were cold and crusted over. The chicken was cold and congealed. I've already gone into how pleasant my husbands meal was. Again, the manger came over and told us everything would be taken care of. Again apologies. He walked away and the server left us with a bill for almost $40. Really. That's how it was taken care of. Somethings wrong. I did not eat. Really had no intention of taking the meal with us home just to toss it but I felt bad for the server. She did her best. You can't do anything about crappy management and even crummier cooks. Steve H was an amazing server, I don't usually do free surveys or give good feedback, but this guy was so good, it was warranted. He did everything perfect, did not make any mistakes. He seemed like he really cared about people. We had a family of six mostly younger kids, so it was not the easiest table to serve. Water came on time, food and appetizer timing was perfect. By the way, the Salmon Bruschetta was really good, much better than I expected. The only thing I would improve is the chairs, they were uncomfortable, but I really liked that they were on rollers, that made things a lot easier, plus it saves the carpet. -1 star because of stinky soap in the bathroom, ruined my lunch and dinner, lasts forever. read more

Olive Garden has been my kids favorite for a total of 20 years. Anytime I ask were they want to go it's always Olive Garden. We ordered take out last night and ordered my all time favorites Chicken Marsala for myself. I was sadly disappointed. I didn't take more than 3 bites before throwing it away, which stung because it's a $20 dish. The chicken was chewy as if it went bad and was very dry. The reason why that dish is so amazing is because of the sauce which did taste great (what little there was of it). I will continue to order for my kids as they always stick to the simple Fettuccine Alfredo. I'm hesitant to order for myself again which is sad. Arrived at 2:23 P.M. on a Sunday and was met at a table in the bar by our server, Jasmine. She seemed to not like being a server. She brought a cup of coffee to the table that was light colored water and when asked about it commented, "It comes out of a machine." Completely inappropriate response. Asked to change servers. The lady who took over was the bartendress, . She was much more pleasant! Salad came quickly and was fresh and delicious! Ordered Rigatoni with Meat Sauce and Italian Sausage! Hot and delicious! Olive Gardens everywhere really need to work on their burned out bartenders. I was sat 9pm on a Sunday. One customer at bar. Bartender sees me and dies not even greet me. He walks away. I'm still waiting. It's been five minutes no greeting. He's nowhere to be seen. OG please stop putting burned out servers in your bars! Only one I've had good service in I've tried oats six months is Camas. That's out of six in three states. Bartender gives decent service but at 50% speed. Went there for our sons birthday, four of us. We sat in a back booth. Our server came, took drink orders. Brought out the drinks, and took it order. Shortly after she brought the breadsticks. That was all we saw of her. Four tables around us we re being served by another waitress. We saw her alot. At one point, we asked her about our server. A little bit later, someone else came to our table to"check" on us. He said he'd go find our waitress. Eventually she came back, with ALL the food... salad as well as the main course. All at once. We said no, that's not gonna work. She got the manager, i think, he was gonna take the main course back, but by then we were ready to go. So we were there for already an hour. Got drinks and four breadsticks but nothing else. I can understand that maybe she was new but that was way not acceptable. The manager guy was not very helpful either.
