I was in a financially tight spot and completely misunderstood how much my car was going to cost to fix when quoted. I explained my situation to Bobby as a very broke medical student who just applied to residency programs and asked if there was anything he could do price-wise for me even if it was a small. He explained it would be minimal but if you've ever been there, you know anything helps. They started the diagnosis and provided a preliminary diagnosis when they found a serious problem that might not be worth repairing. When my car overheated during Thanksgiving weekend, I couldn't get an appointment at my dealership's service department for over a week. The last time I repaired my car at that dealership they kept it for 11 days. So I knew I had to finally look for a local mechanic who could service my car in a more timely manner. I really didn't want to start using non-OEM parts on my 10-year-old car, but I also could not wait another week, and probably longer to get my car fixed. After reading a lot of great reviews, I booked an appointment online with Olive Auto Center. Bobby called me early Monday morning and told me to bring in the car. Tuesday morning, he called and gave me a quote, and said the work would be done in a few hours. He then called and told me after their safety inspection that my back-up light was out, which he thought was originally just the bulbs, but ultimately the car needed a new cable assembly. His team purchased this part from the dealership where any available appointment was still a week away. I had my car back within 24 hours of dropping it off at Olive Auto Center. My biggest concern going to a new mechanic was using non-OEM parts, but Bobby's team actually bought the parts from my now former dealership service department. My car is running great, and I would not hesitate to return to Olive Auto Center in the future or recommend Bobby and his team to anyone looking for a quality mechanic in Burbank.
