Beautifully decorated restaurant, the ambiance makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. The food is great, especially the carbonara pasta that everyone is raving about. It was on point. The pasta is fresh but a little bit rich. My chicken dish was okay. The chicken was tender, but the asparagus was kind of fibrous, which is not good for supposedly fresh asparagus. Our service was excellent, very attentive and helpful. Our dessert, the picada, was excellent with pistachio and apricot sauce, which hit perfectly. Overall, a great Italian dining experience.
Five very enthusiastic stars! On the way to NYC, our small group was looking at dinner options, and everyone agreed Italian sounded good. After seeing Olio E Più pop up with rave reviews, we booked a reservation. (I am glad we booked ahead, as they were telling customers it was a 2+ hour wait that evening.) The decor in the room was really pretty, and there was a steady buzz of activity throughout our visit. Our waiter was absolutely lovely. Although he said he was new, we wouldn't have known it unless he told us, as he expertly made recommendations and served us well throughout the evening. One of the first culinary standouts was the olive oil that came with the bread. This is the REAL single-source non-adulterated EVOO that has a distinctive earthy taste. I can't remember the last time I got to enjoy oil like this at a restaurant. I ordered the Spaghetti alle Vongole. In my Italian family, there's no such thing as too much garlic. If a recipe calls for a clove, it gets a bulb. But this dish was beautifully garlic-forward with a generous portion of clams atop the handmade spaghetti. We joked that the vampires of The Lost Boys wouldn't dare mess with us after our dinner! It also went perfectly with a glass of Prosecco. Although we were pretty full from the meal, the chocolate mousse looked too interesting to pass up. It was so amazing that we ended up ordering a second! The salt flakes and light EVOO drizzle really brought the depth out of the chocolate, and the cocoa nibs added a nice crunch to contrast with the softer mousse. I highly recommend a visit here, and it's going to be at the top of my list next time I'm in NYC!
The interior is beautifully decorated with plants, paintings and chandeliers, providing a romantic night out. The location is also very conveniently next to Byrant Park. As for the food, though slightly pricey, the pasta dish (carbonara) is rich, creamy, and authentic - you can taste the high quality. You have to mix in the raw yolk on top. The grilled octopus was pretty good too, smokey, but could be seasoned a bit stronger (maybe I will sprinkle more salt next time). The food came out relatively quick and the wait staff were friendly, providing good recommendations when asked.
Service kind of ignored me when I first came since the host was talking to one of the staff. They sat me quickly since I had a reservation. Cute restaurant ~ tables were spaced close together, but many options. Some outdoor seating. The food was delicious. I'd come back again.
Conveniently located restaurant in the heart of Bryant Park area. Good for groups. We absolutely loved the chicken and the lemon pasta. Was a bit disappointed in the portion sizes for the appetizers as the bruschetta looked much bigger in pictures online versus the three bite-size pieces we got on a side dish plate. For $19, I'd expect an appetizer that can be shared by 2 people - not an Ozempic sized portion.
I came here after work one evening and tried the RW menu (note the hostess only gave the regular menu when seating and I had to ask for the RW one from the waiter, luckily I knew about it or it wouldn't have been mentioned). Chose the bruschetta as the appetizer, which was all right but needed more ricotta to balance out the tomato. I would have actually preferred more of the complimentary bread & olive oil they gave at the start which was tastier. My lemon tagliatelle entree had a delicious lemon sauce but the burrata seemed plopped coldly on top as an afterthought (and I say this as someone who loves burrata) and there'a no additional protein or seasoning. Grilled chicken or shrimp would have gone excellently with this sauce, and at the very least they should offer to grind some fresh pepper on top. The star of the meal was definitely the dessert--the pistachio panna cotta may have been the best thing I've eaten all month! I also had a mocktail to drink, the "non il farfalla rosa", which was pretty & delicious. Service was great--my waiter was friendly & I asked him for recommendations (clearly he gave good ones!) and he periodically came by to check how everything was; the busboy also came by to give new utensils after each course, clear plates & fill water etc. The restaurant was packed & lively, and while tables were fairly close together the place has high ceilings and lovely decor/ambiance. I had told my colleague I was coming here & she came a bit later with her husband & had the same take on the app & entree & dessert, and they also tried the chocolate flan dessert and said it was very good.
I unfortunately think the West Village location is superior to this one. My cup of water had two random dots floating in it so I didn't really drink it. Idk if the prices went up recently but I feel like it's gotten more expensive but the pasta portions aren't reflecting the prices fairly. The ravioli dish is $28 for 5 pieces which felt like a big rip off. However, the Olio Club was quite big and came with nice hot crispy fries. I was able to share the sandwich with my friend whose ravioli portion was so small and barely filled her up. I do wish the bread on the sandwich was toasted a bit longer. It's a nice space inside and the service was good, but I think there's better Italian spots in Midtown for sure.
Olio E Più is one of my favorite places to brings friends and family to. At this newer location across the way from Bryant Park, it's a bit more upscale than the Greenwich (my personal favorite) location which has more of a homier, boutique feel. But the two share the same excellence in food and service. Gabriella here at this location was incredible to myself and family, and made it a dinner they will remember. Olio is such a great place for larger groups, families, kids, and even date night. Great food, great service. 10 out of 10. Not pictured but recommended by Gabriella was their Lasagnetta Classico which was incredible. The tagliatelle is rich, creamy and fresh...perfect for keeping things light. And the carbonara is a staple there for a reason.
Love the feel of this restaurant that's right next to Bryant Park. High ceiling and a bar area in the back. I loved the spaghetti carbonara and the focaccia San Daniele (pistachio pesto, prosciutto and cherry tomatoes) this was such a good recommendation. The focaccia was soft and everything on top was light and fresh! It was a nice compliment with the carbonara. The calamari was also very fresh and the dipping aioli was amazing! I took my mother here for Mother's Day brunch and will definitely be back again. (Mom was also very obsessed with their complimentary olives) They also had many families with little kids. So family friendly is a big plus!! (With high chairs)
This Olio E Più is the Bryant Park location for the expanding chain and we able to get reservations. First off, this place is huge. Like a couple of hundred diners huge and it's noisy. Like crazy noisy. I could hear the person next to me better than my spouse across the table. The food however, more than makes up for the noise and we enjoyed ourselves. If you're a late eater, you might find getting a table here easier than trying to get ithe after work drinking crowd.
My husband took me here for dinner on Mother's Day, and overall we had a really pleasant experience. I loved the ambiance and decor, though the restaurant did feel quite hot due to the small space and limited airflow, so I was sweating quite a bit. Other than that, the food was phenomenal. The tartufa pizza was genuinely one of the best bites I've ever had, and I'd come back just for that alone. The espresso martini was also the best I've ever had. The carbonara was incredibly rich and flavorful, though I do wish it had a bit more pepper or chili flake to help balance the richness. The hospitality was wonderful as well. We were even given a scoop of lemon sorbetto on the house, which was such a nice touch. I've always wanted to go to the one in the village, but couldn't, so I was excited they opened one in Bryant Park. I can't wait to come back!
My waitress Ayla W. was very kind and patient with me as I asked various questions about different meals for a first-timer. She gave her honest opinions and consistently checked on me. Shoutout to her for the great service! As for the ambiance, it's a very dim and intimate setting, but the dress code is free. I ordered the popular Spaghetti Carbonara - it was finely crafted, the meat within was pretty flavorful, and it was topped with an egg. Could've used a pinch of salt and maybe pepper for the overall flavoring (aside from the meat that was sprinkled within), but that's just my personal opinion when it came to the overall meal (to each his/her own). Note that this meal is also a medium-sized portion, so I'd advise ordering a side or salad, if you're pretty hungry. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10. I also ordered the Polenta Fritta. This was my first time hearing of this, and the best I can do to explain it would be mashed potatoes with a mozzarella stick-like breading (if that makes sense). It'd give this an 8/10. Overall, I'd visit this restaurant again, trying something new next time around.
Went for the carbonara but it was a total miss in my opinion... the roasted beet salad was so-so... but my wife loved her lasagna and cocktail. The service was good though. It's a highly rated restaurant but my heart was set on a great carbonara.

I would give like a 4.5/4.75 if I could. The decor is very nice, (very brown and artsy in a museum kind of way), and the food was delicious. I will say, I came as a single reservation and it was crowded, so I expect service to be a little brief as they have like 50 other people to serve. The waiter I had was very nice, but he had a 16-top next to me so it could've been better if circumstances warranted. Even though the place is quite spacious, they pack the seating very tight. It can be quite claustrophobic in certain areas of the restaurant. This is the only location I've been so I have no other reference. I got the limone tagliatelle and it was delicious. The portion size was comfortable but I do wish I had more. It was one portion and I believe one portion alone, not much for leftovers. I know that's most likely a tactic to make you order more, so great on them. Good at biz! The pasta is homemade and you can definitely tell, the texture is softer and is just better. I believe the limone sauce is most comparable to a chicken broth based alfredo, with Parmesan cheese and lots of butter. It is rich but it is not as creamy and (solid? idk how to explain it) as a traditional a Italian American alfredo. The sauce is almost like a Parmesan soup but in a good way. The lemon balances it out and it is very good. Highly highly recommend this dish, especially for a picky eater. Not that I am at all, I was just craving something like this in the moment, and it hit. The tap water is good quality, and the bread is a delicious. A crime they only give two slices per person. I wanted more! I am not a fan of olives, but I bet if you are, you would enjoy the ones they give. Just not a fan, personally! I had their take on a cosmopolitan / lychee martini, and it was very good. It was slightly sweet, very aromatic, and not overly strong until the end. I believe they use absolut vodka, if you're a vodka snob and that matters. Vodka isn't my first spirit of choice but the flavors were balanced. I will say though, this to me almost tasted like perfume. Maybe the mixture of the alcohol and the lychee? As an aperativ I had a single shot of espresso and it was very good. Did not taste burnt or super acidic. Bitter? Yes of course, it's straight espresso. But a great palette cleanser. Just a little expensive ($6). If you're near Bryant park and want a good date night, girls night out, or a nicer Italian dinner, please come here! Definitely prepare to spend $40/person for a drink and entree. read more

I was kind of floored by this one. Walking in, you're immediately greeted with friendly staff, warmth and delicious plates of everything, everywhere. I asked for a suggestion and was told the Carbonara is the most popular of the pastas. I'm a carbonara addict when I'm in Italy but honestly in the US, I have a hard time finding one I like. This one exceeded expectations. The waitress gave me a heads up about the raw egg on top which was appreciated because I'm sure they get people who weren't expecting it. Food came out super quick! My only critique is I like when the guanciale is a little crispier but still it was fantastic and I look forward to returning. Good vibes, good people and just a gorgeous place overall! read more
As soon as you enter Olio E. Piu, you'll be captivated by their decor, the large seating area, and it's right across from Bryant Park. The multi staff service was attentive the complimentary olives and bread were pleasantly consumed. We both ordered the Ricotta & Pomodoro Ravioli. The sauce was exquisite and sweet, the basil that adorned the dish added to the enjoyment, and I could have had twenty. For dessert, I had the White Chocolate Panna Cotta. I have never had this rendition and it was memorable. The lemon gel and white chocolate shavings elevated each spoonful and is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The other dessert was the Three Scoops of Chocolate Gelato. I was told, that it was one of the best they've ever had and was creamy and deliciously sweet. If you're looking for an elegant meal, look no further than Olio E Più. As the restaurant postcard perfectly states, "It's a gastronomic tour of Italy...in the heart of Bryant Park." read more

Sat at the bar for dinner service early Friday evening, no reservation just first come first serve seating. Service was so nice, with great recommendations, and kept checking in to see if we wanted more off the happy hour menu before the happy hour "hours" were up. They had good wine suggestions and let me try some before choosing my glass. The fritto primavera was a huge portion, especially off the happy hour menu, it was nicely fried and had great seasoning. The burrata & figs had a great sweet and salty contrast with the prosciutto crisps. And finally the risotto alla milanese was also good with the rich saffron butter. read more

solid NYC italian institution. i'm a big fan of sausage and broccoli/broccolini pasta so the orecchiette pasta was a must order for me. both the carbonara and orecchiette were yummy when i first started eating but then as i continued eating got to to be way to heavy and salty lol but also i'm generally not the biggest fan of the restaurant italian food i've had so take that with a grain of salt. they give free bread as every italian institution should but i felt judged when i asked for more bread. service was reallllyyyy mid like this waiter guy must've not liked us that much also we got sat at this tiny 2 seater table and my friend had a giant pillar behind her so we just didn't have that much space even though the restaurant is pretty big on the inside. overall the pasta was yummy but i don't know if i would necessarily come back. read more
Came here during the cold Winter of 2026 and let's just say, I am thankful that there's two doors and a heater blasting between the two doors. I end up sitting close to the main entrance since I wanted to sit at a table and I was eating by myself. I rarely ever felt the cold wind because there's two doors. And when I left my table to put my Winter coat on properly by their entrance, it was nice that it was heated so I didn't feel the cold as much the main entrance door opened. Anyways, love the ambiance and the location. Close between Time Square and across the street from Bryant Park. Friendly servers who left me alone but came when needed. They just knew to let me enjoy my food. I came during January restaurant week of 2026 so I got to try their restaurant menu. Insalata di spinaci - a delicious salad! It has a hint of citrus and balsamic vinegar with right amount of cheese to balance it all. There's some almonds so if you have a tree-nut allergy, just let your server know. Piccata limone e salvia - just an all hearty meal for lunch. Nice balance of protein, lemon, and veggies. Overall, I would come again even if it's not restaurant week. Seems like most people get pasta or a sandwich entree while I was dining in for lunch. read more
Friday was first day of restaurant week hence my friend and I had reservation at Olio E Piu. I have been trying get a slot at the original location however it is always fully booked. I recommend the $45 dinner menu. It was the first time a restaurant didn't give small portions. I love the orecchiette because it was well seasoned and I was getting my vegetables intake. The dessert was sweet and tart, a perfect combination. 6:30pm is a popular time slot. We arrived there at 6pm and they couldn't sit us until our reservation time. However, they suggested us sit at the bar beforehand. read more
Let me start by saying Cesar was a PHENOMENAL server. He was fun, had great recommendations, and highly attentive. It is clear everyone works hard to ensure an exceptional experience for their customers. I chose Olio E Più for my 25th birthday dinner and we had a fantastic time. Our table of 8 was accommodated well. The food was delicious, beyond all expectation. I will say we ordered the TAGLIATA E VERDURE and it wasn't my favorite - everything else was worth the price. From the cacciatore to the ravioli to the calamari, I was impressed! Cesar recommended the SUPER TUSCAN (wine) and it paired well with our appetizers. The Christmas tree and decorations made this experience even more magical. The dining room was a bit warm, which was a partial downside but wasn't too much of a bother. A must visit for a nice dinner when visiting New York! read more
We enjoyed their other location lower in the city so came by for a weekend dinner. Had a larger party and were seated soon after entering. Service was friendly and accommodating for all our requests. Food itself was great. I got the carbonara and also had several appetizers to share, all of which we enjoyed. Also ordered a bottle for the table which was nice. Very cute spot with lovely holiday decorations. Cute and cozy with intimate lighting. Had a great time all around - definitely recommended. read more

Food - 10/10 always at Olio e Piu. The spaghetti alla carbonara is a close second favorite to their butternut squash ravioli. But they didn't have that on their menu this time. The egg on the pasta adds such a nice flavor, though it can be a bit intimidating to the eye at first. Service - Aside from the traditional European experience with longer dinners, the service felt a little bit unorganized. I know that this is a new location and they were very busy. But aside from that, all of our waiters were very kind. Ambiance - I had never been to this location before, it was all dressed up for Christmas which I loved. I do love their Greenwich location though, but it is nice they have one closer to the Theater District! read more
A wonderful addition near Bryant Park. The décor is absolutely beautiful - especially the festive Christmas touches, which made the space feel warm and elegant for the holidays. Food and service were excellent from start to finish, and our server Omar was fantastic - attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. We ordered the Tagliatelle di Bosco (rich, earthy mushroom sauce with porcini), Cavatelli Agnello e Verdure (perfectly balanced and comforting), and the Tagliata e Verdure - a flavorful, well-cooked ribeye with beautifully roasted vegetables. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. A great spot for a cozy yet elevated Italian meal, especially during the holiday season read more
We only had 5 dinners in new york, so I did my homework and had big expectations and maybe that was the problem. We snagged a reservation through Open Table a few days before about 9. Super easy to get to and host was friendly. We showed up 15 minutes early and was asked to wait at the bar. No worries. Bartender made yummy cocktails and was attentive. Wish I hadn't sent my hubby to check on our table (quite sure they forgot about us and bartender was way more attentive then what we got from our waiter). The room was well decorated with a real tree in the middle. Very festive. However, they sat the tables so close together near the tree the people next to us couldn't even get out (and they were small girls). Our waiter seemed less than excited for another table and that continued all evening. For app, we ordered Focce Tagliere Trentino. It was crisper than crisp and so many greens I couldn't find the rest. It wasnt cut all the way which made it very hard to eat. Also had the carpaccio. It was good but nothing exciting. For dinner, I was so excited for the carbonara. It was good. He got the Fusilli. It was fine. What hubby and I both decided.... it was fine everything was fine. But nothing will be remembered and you add that to the lackluster service, I really wish we had saved our meal for someplace else. read more

It took 15 min after I was seated for anyone to come over to me to bring water and take my order. I saw servers walking around the restaurant waiting in corners so it's not like it was too busy and they were swamped with their tables. Even after someone came and took my order, they never came back to ask for refills on water or if I wanted anything else until the very end to see if I was done or wanted dessert. The entree I got was also pretty bland, I didn't taste any saffron or flavors in the risotto so that was disappointing as well. I got the drink of the day which was a Hugo spritz and that was good. Overall not sure if I'd go back read more

Went here this past weekend. Had the best seat, the corner bench seat with our backs facing Bryant Park and the Holiday Village. The restaurant was packed, so reservations are a must. We topped our dinner off with tiramisu, panna cotta and cappuccino. Everything was delicious. Will be back! read more
We arrived here about 5:30 pm on a weeknight and the place was jampacked. That said, they were able to find us a high top table for two; there were four such tables lining the front of the bar. These tables are the smallest two top tables I've ever seen, they're really more of a table sized for one person. And they were back to back, where you are sitting with your back pressing up against the patrons chair behind you. I had to move my chair off to the side into a floor plant in order to sit down. The set up at this restaurant is designed for beyond maximum occupancy, whereas every square inch is used. Believe me, this restaurant does not take the diners comfort into consideration. Not only was every square inch of the place occupied, but there were so many people that the noise was almost deafening. Additionally, as mentioned earlier, these tables line the front of the bar, and for those of us dining at these dinky tables it was not fun. We had patrons who were waiting for tables, standing at the bar, trying to order drinks, so we have people literally standing up against our table as we are trying to dine. Not to mention servers were trying to get through constantly, so it was just a constant movement of people - a distracting and very annoying experience. The food itself was excellent. I had the Orecchiette and my wife had the Carbonara. That said, I would not return due to the overall experience. read more
My friend and I went here because we wanted a Christmas vibe at the Bryant Park location. The appetizer, entrees and dessert were good, but on the smaller end. We were still a little hungry after. The waiter was very kind and helpful. Always made sure to ask if we needed a refill on refreshments and made sure to get us clean silverware in between courses. read more
For a Monday night dinner, this place was packed. Luckily I was able to get a seat at the bar which is fine since it's full service. The bartender was nice and attentive filling my water. He made a good espresso martini. The restaurant has a nice older decor with a lot of paintings to catch your eye. I got the risotto with scallops and it was delicious! The risotto was well made and had a lot of flavor. The scallops were small but still enough to add substance to the risotto. The included pieces of bread was ok. read more
I finally got to try Olio e Piú -- at their new Bryant Park location -- and it lived up to the hype. I was surprised at how easy it was to snag a reservation, especially for a spot that feels this upscale. The service was amazing from start to finish. The space itself is beautiful and has that cozy, elevated Italian ambiance, but just a heads up: it is on the tighter side. I was seated in a corner booth that felt intimate and cute, but also a little cramped. Now the food... unreal. The quality of the noodles honestly blew me away. I ordered the carbonara and I still remember the taste of the sauce -- rich, silky, and perfectly balanced. The pasta had that fresh, chewy bite you only get from truly good handmade noodles. I would literally fly back to NYC just to have that dish again. Overall, great service, incredible pasta, and a slightly tight but charming space. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! read more
