I stood in line for a few minutes, being ignored while staff just talked and laughed. Then finally one of the staff, she seemed fairly new, came over to attend me. Autumn was RUDE! I called while I was down the street (2 minutes away) to put a cake on hold. As soon as I walked in I saw I made a mistake on the cake I asked for. I politely said excuse me to try to avoid anyone writing on the cake. She responded with "take a number". So I did and I waited. There was no one else waiting, the people ahead of me were being helped. When she finally came around to help me I told her I had made a mistake and wanted to catch them before they wrote on the cake, that I was sorry for the mistake. She came back with the cake already written on. I apologized again. She then scolded me saying, "next time don't write on the cake you've just waisted our money". Which I'm aware. This is why I tried to get someone's attention when I walked in to stop them from writing on the cake, I apologized over and over again (because I genuinely felt bad about the mistake, and I was embarrassed and scolded by this woman around the other guests. So unprofessional. I made a mistake that's why they are called mistakes and if she wouldn't have been so rude I would have bought both of the cakes because again, it was my mistake. Unfortunately my favorite bakery wasn't taking any more orders for the week and I needed a graduation cake...so I had to settle for Old Tyme. They had a few selections to choose from which they don't tell you all the decorations are extra! My total was coming out to a ridiculous amount so I had them remove all the cake toppers. This bakery is amazing. I recently ordered a cake from here for an event that my friends and I were having this past weekend. It turned out absolutely beautiful and it tasted so good. My friends enjoyed it too. Aside from that, they've got a huge selection of pastries to choose from. They've got everything from cakes, cupcakes, cheesecakes, cookies, pie, apple turnovers, cinnamon rolls, cake pops, danishes, and even fresh baked bread. I will say that this bakery is a little on the pricey side but for all the pastries that I've tried from them, they're worth the money. Plus, they've got a coffee area where you can order coffee, tea, and other special beverages. I got a blueberry Italian soda from them and it tasted pretty good. I also would like to acknowledge Virginia because she helped me place the order for the cake. Actually, she recommended me ordering the cake since I was on a budget and I didn't want to spend over 50 dollars for something. Drink was good, but barista was very rude. When I asked her what she recommended she said it's up to me I'm a very rude tone. She kept forgetting our order, which wasn't hard at all, and asked my aunt and I to repeat it 3 times. All we got was a pumpkin cheesecake latte and an iced redbull with passionfruit/strawberry and half and half. She then tells my aunt we're out of coconut which she didn't even order in her drink. When our drinks came out my aunts didn't have the half and half. When we let her know she rolled her eyes, fixed it and had an attitude when giving it back. Our son is attending Stan State and we come up from SoCal for weekends with him now and then while he's in basketball season. We love pastry shops so we popped in here when we first moved him up and have gone back each visit ever since. The sandwiches, soups and pot pies are delicious and so healthy - you can start yourselves off there or you can order a pastry or dessert first - which I recommend! You only live once right! The staff are always so happy and ready to help, the patience of saints. The selection and variety make it so hard to choose so you have to get a selection of things. I'd also really only come here for any of my event cake needs or event pastry needs. Local and from scratch, you can't beat it. The hot drinks are good too! Many coffee and tea choices! Worst garden salad ever. Olde Tyme has impressive pastries and decent sandwiches but the garden salad I ordered is beneath the standard I would expect from them. A pile of iceberg lettuce, not terribly fresh, scattering of beans and some inedible pale and tasteless tomato slices. A mediocre Balsamic vinaigrette. The salad from the habit is far fresher and higher quality. A local business should be maintaining a higher standard in order to keep customers. read more

I recently came in and ordered a small 6inch cake for my baby's birthday. First once I came in to pick up the cake no one was helping customers were just standing waiting while employees were just talking amongst themselves. Once I was finally helped the older lady with glasses who called my number didn't greet or ask how can I help you she just gave me a blank stare until lol it was kinda awkward almost wanted to ask someone else if they could just get me the cake. Unfortunately service and the cake did not meet my expectations. 68$ the price I payed on a small 6inch cake I probably could have gotten something 10x better at savemart or Safeway the top of the cake was super hard, and the cake itself was actually very dry not moist or fluffy at all it had only been 1 day after picking it up. (Not sure how to reply to the owner so I am just adding to the review) I went in on Saturday the 18th at 2:30 I ended up leaving at almost 3 from just waiting.
