I just ate here for the first time last week and was very disappointed after someone told us that the pizza was not bad but too hard and crunchy for her taste and it was also the same for us, will not return to this pizza restaurant again. If I could give this place zero starts I would. I placed an order to go and ordered a meatball sandwich. Upon picking it up and getting home I notice it is COLD. Not warm at all. I give Old Town a call and I'm told they "Can't help me" after asking for the manager I'm told to come and pick up a new sandwich. I return to pick up a fresh sandwich and check the temperature while I'm there and it's still cold. The girl at the front was rude and nasty. I will NEVER eat there again. Old Town Pizza is our neighbor, they're right behind our pawn shop. LOVE the barbecue chicken pizza. Their sauce and crust is unique and delicious. The current owners have run the place for maybe 8 years? I knew they were my kind of people when they updated their draft beer selection from a handful to 12. Always something new to try. I was in Tehachapi for about a week for work and staying in a hotel with just a microwave and mini fridge limits your options. At any rate, pizza was on the agenda one day and we decided to try this place out for a late lunch. We got a pie with salami, onions and jalapenos...don't ask my why my bf thought it would be a good idea. It might have been if we got these things separately but there were way to many jalapenos piled on to taste much else. I think the sauce was good on the pie and I enjoyed the crust, but those jalapenose overpowered everything. I might try this out again if I have to pop back up in the area with more tummy friendly toppings. They do have a bunch of video games here for the kiddies, and a big disclaimer that says how long it takes for them to make their home made pies...happy hour deals look good but there was another disclaimer about the wait for that. read more

We got a large BBQ chicken pizza and a large supreme, when she found a giant long black hair in the pizza and the store wouldn't give her a refund, only a small one topping pizza. This is the best pizza I've ever had! Fast delivery too. This is a go to when we have lots of company. Their xl pizza feeds a crowd and gives everyone a good belly laugh when they see it. It's so big it take up the back of a hatchback car!!! Makes you feel like a kid when you see it their potato wedges and chicken are soooo good too. I'm not going to bash this place, because the staff was friendly, the food was hot and delivered in a timely manner. However, taste wise... not my forte. I was not a fan of the crust whatsoever, I couldn't even finish two full slices. Out of all the places in Tehachapi, this would be my last choice. No offense to the business, everyone's taste buds are different. Some people LOVE this pizza. There was just something about the crust that I just could not get past. I grew up in Tehachapi and have always loved Old Towne Pizza. I remember when they were located on the other side of 202. One thing hasn't changed, that yummy recipe, which I think has a little beer in the crust batter. I also love their hot sandwiches. Yummy! read more

I took my wife and son here to sit and eat dinner. Our order came out very quickly and the pizza was delicious. One of the things that made me want to come here was the arcade, though. When we arrived the games were all turned off, but the person working fired them up for us. They have a big screen TV with Fox news playing. I guess a lot of people in this area enjoy "relaxing" to the news but I would rather it be something with levity. I imagine they would have changed the channel if I asked them to, but I wasn't much interested in watching the TV at all, I was more interested in showing my son the arcade games. We played a few, but several of them were either out of order or just ate our quarters and did not function. I was disappointed with that, but didn't think it was worth griping to the people working there. Ultimately we enjoyed our food and will probably order from here again, though we won't bother sitting and eating. We will get it to go or delivery. Never had such a stiff crunchy pizza in all my life! Like having pizza on a big saltine cracker; didn't like that at all! They hardly put any sauce on pizza which made it kinda dry; the cheese they use is very salty. I will definitely be looking for a better pizza option next time I go to Tehachapi! read more

Bought $74.00 worth of food last night and it was pretty much uneatable. Antipasto salad was not made with Romaine but the foo foo salad greens and the mushrooms had turned color and were starting to get slimy. Should have been thrown out several days earlier. On the special and the pepperoni the toppings weren't too bad but on the carnivore it was like trying to eat little brown rocks with absolutely no flavor at all. All 3 crusts were burned and so over cooked that they tasted like burned cardboard. We were so disappointed as this was the first time getting pizza from here since we moved back to town, what with COVID 19 and all. This used to be a great place for pizza but last night was a total waste of our money. Also embarrassing since we had invited people over for a casual dinner. I actually would have given a rating of less than 1 if possible. So amazing. We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza. Small. Some buffalo chicken wings and potato wedges. The pizza crust was biscuity, but had a nice crunch. There was big slices of chicken you could tell they cooked in house on the grill, and the sauce was tangy. It was the perfect combination in flavor and texture. The buffalo wings were freshly cooked and the sauce I think was made in house. The wedges were baked, but had a nice crunch and flavored well. The inside of the restaurant definitely had an old towne feel. With an arcade area a d eating area. It smelled amazing inside there. The bathroom was clean and stocked. This is a fun place to hang out and there are plenty of locals ordering to go. I plan to come here every time im in town. read more

This is by far the best pizza place in Tehachapi. The owners are super accommodating, especially because my family and I are new to the area. I just ate here for my second time and noticed all of the same problems from my first experience. Both times I've been here, I had to wait an inordinate amount of time to get my pizza. Both times, my girlfriend's smaller pizza came out after way before my food did; to the point that she had finished eating before my food arrived. The pizza in general seems to be of average quality, but at somewhat higher prices. Go to the grocery store, buy your own ingredients, and make the pizza yourself; you'll get your food faster, cheaper and better than this place. read more

Legit best pizza place most places have soggy bottoms a wet mess and never here !! We have come here a total of 6 times and everytime the pizza was spot on. Friendly service and great pizzas you cant beat it. And if you have some quarters play some old school arcades here ! Tried many different pizzas and we loved them all. I'm a crust girl. Sauce is second. Toppings -- meh, not so important, as long as they're fresh. The crust here is to die for. It is thin -- so you thick crust lovers will just have to make due. Crispy, and the texture is bumpy on the bottom. I think there may be corn meal involved. No premade frozen dough disk here -- they make their own. OH SO GOOD!! We got the philly cheese steak and pepperoni pizzas. The philly cheese was okay, but I'd prefer red sauce and mozzarella (they use a white alfredo and swiss cheese[!]). Pepperoni was great. The cheese sticks were excellent. The red sauce for dipping was really good as well. I ended up dipping my philly pizza into it. The atmosphere was total hometown pizza place. I can see the place filling up with little league families after the games. I really wish I would have tried this place long ago. We're definitely going again soon! See ya there. read more

With an arcade for the kids, over 15 beers on taps for the adults, and pizza for all, it's no wonder Old Towne Pizza has been a staple of Tehachapi life since 1976! The owners and their son do not mind taking the extra minute or two to make sure you get the exact pizza you're craving.
