If I could give a 0 star, I would!!! This place was honestly disgusting. The pizza was basically a cracker with pepperoni on it and had a weird taste. I ordered the Hot Meatball Sandwich and it came out barely warm, looking like dog food, with almost no sauce or cheese. My friend ordered the Italian Torpedo and it had a sliver of meat on it and he didn't like it at all. My other friend ordered a Turkey Sandwich that had one thin slice of turkey and wilted vegetables. She said the mayo tasted sour and only took one bite before throwing it away. Even the salad was horrible, especially the mushrooms, which were definitely not the right color. We tried the ranch and you could immediately tell it was spoiled. Everything we got was gross and WAY overpriced for the quality. Another major issue was the cleanliness. Everywhere you looked there was dirt and grime, and not the kind from just a busy day, it looked like it had been building up for a long time. It felt completely unsanitary. Two things make up a good pizza: the sauce and the crust. The crust was chewy and cracker like. Not good! The sauce didn't have that Italian flavor of rose Mary, Basel and oregano. I love this place but the downhill slide from the new owner take over is very sad. You order a large open the box its the size of a medium and burnt and missing the extra cheese. Most owners would keep the pie for the workers. And fix mistake. No the owner waited till i got there to see if i still wanted a burnt pizzia or to make another one. Im on my break i dont have time to wait? Why wouldnt a owner want a good product going out. He offered me 5$ dollars off a burnt pizzia thats missing a topping i paid for? I would have been happy with a appology and 50% of or another pizzia when i wasnt on break. Unfortunatly anytime the owners in the kitchen the products bad the service is worse the young kids that work there usually do a great job. Being a long time customer i am totally disappointed w the pizza..I ordered the employee special and anchovies and salami pizzas..The chicken on the employee special has changed. The so called chicken was fake or synthetic..The chicken was HORRIBLE.....I HAD TO REMOVE IT....The anchovies on the other pizza were mashed???? We celebrated my grandson's graduation last night at old town Pizza. This is one of the staples in Tehachapi California. Unfortunately the pizza that we were given that I paid $100 for for an extra ultimate, two larges, and six drinks. I ordered two pepperonis for the kids And there wasn't even any cheese on the center part of the pizza so basically from the crust halfway to the tip, there was sauce and cheese and pepperoni, but there is no cheese and a huge part of the pizza and I'm really not happy. Cheap! When I went there the small ranch was a dollar instead of .50 as advertised. Also a little suspicious was when my daughter went to get her quarter back from one of the machines it was blocked from being able to get any change. I was charged 10$ for a small scoop of ragu pasta. I thought I'd give a second try after 9 years since they recooked my pizza after I asked for it to be sent back when it had an ingredient I was allergic to on it. I ordered a large Old Town Special Pizza list price of $29.99. I was 10 minutes late for pickup. I received a disgusting, dried-out mess. The crust was dry, (not crisp) hardly any sauce, and tasted like old cardboard. The toppings were a bunch of desiccated veggies and stale meat (although there was a good amount of meat toppings0 that were limp and unpleasant to the palate...I think it was cooked back in the Old Town days. Even my Mastiff and Shepherds had to spend a good deal of time chewing on it, where normally they wolf down pizza in a nanosecond...ridiculous. I also ordered a large antipasto salad at $12.99, weighing 10.6 ounces. anything that wasn't lettuce seemed to be added as an afterthought. I don't think they understand what an antipasto salad is supposed to be. I did get a $15 dollar discount through GrubHub's Amazon Prime Day special. However, this food wasn't worth a dime. The staff were cold and made me wait a short time despite me being the only customer in the place. Old Town Pizza seems like another deeply embedded, old Tehachapi business with a take-it-or-get-lost attitude which is also reflected in its food offerings. I apologize to fellow Tehachapi pizza eaters who love this place, but I deeply regret ordering from them. It was a very disappointing experience. The dogs seemed happy though. read more

I think this place is underrated on yelp. The pizza was delicious and the staff is friendly what more can you ask for? Thinner crust and not greasy which is a huge plus for me. Toppings were fresh. The pizza was mediocre. It was super cold inside. TV was loud. Super expensive-- they charge $1 for a tiny cup of ranch. I have two kids, part of the reason we went there was to play their games, well there were like two game that were even operational, and they were the claw games that was $1/play and your prize is a tiny rubber ducky! Pretty good little family pizza place. The nostalgia invokes memories of high school pizza pizza parties. The beer selection is great, and the pitchers are the good old full size ones. They have an Indian styled pizza that sounds strange but is honestly one of the best pizzas I have eaten. The only drawback is the price. I told my fiancé I was nervous about this place because people seemed to love or hate it, but I came to write a review to say I seriously cannot understand the hate. I am moving here from Bakersfield and trying out the different local spots. Our order was exactly what I wanted and expected. We got the Old Towne Special which is their version of a classic combination pizza. We were impressed that the crust held up well with all of the toppings. I also loved the Canadian bacon on it because I don't typically see that on combos and it was delicious. We also ordered wings and potato wedges. I am partial to the chicken and wedges from shops in Bakersfield, but theirs were decent. All in all, we both said we would totally order again.
