Old Town is a great hometown donut shop. They've been around for a long time. They have traditional style and flavored donuts that are top quality. They have won multiple award that prove it. They have daily specials like gooey butter cake, or Black Forest, or seasonal options. BTW-all good! They have great coffee options as well as other drinks such as; milk, juice, soft drinks. They have coupons posted on their website for monthly discounts like buy a half dozen, get a half dozen free. Friendly staff too. read more

I want to start off by saying that Old Town Donuts has been a name that has resonated with me growing up. My parents used to take me to the original location in Florissant and it was always an exciting place to visit on a Saturday morning. I now live in St. Charles and a semi-new location opened up out here and wanted to give it a chance. This Old Town Donuts location is a block down by St. Charles Community College and part of the sprawling growth that Cottleville is going through. It's in a snug strip mall. The interior is very homey. I loved how it felt like a donut shop. Sometimes you walk in to some donut places and it doesn't have that vibe. I wish this location had diner like seating like the Florissant location. I loved that. The overall comfort level inside could be a little better. Maybe add some arm chairs. Make it more modern and a place to eat in at. I decided to get a donut and a danish as a mid day snack. You can question my sanity later. I got the cinnamon roll twist donut which was soft, sugary and had a good texture in my mouth. Mind you, these weren't fresh out of the oven, but it tasted like it. The lemon danish was exactly what I expected. The tart of the Lemon and the sweet flavor of the dough made it a perfect combination for my mouth. Both were delicious and would get them again, however I will try more flavors first. The service there was what you'd expect. I went there at a slow period of time where I was the only customer getting anything. It was a homey feeling, even touched on my experiences at the original location and how much it meant to me as a kid. You can tell he got excited about my experience and wanted to have that translate with the new one. I'll need to update this review in the future and come when it's a bit busier. Overall, this location is a great place to get a good donut or pastry. It's not the best place to sit down and have an experience at but the service and the food itself blows that all away. The Old Fashioned donut was the perfect combination of day old grease, sugar icing, and moist dough. 3 for $3 + change in the tip jar. I took an afternoon nap immediately afterwards. Just as good as the original! Having lived down the street from the original Old Town Donuts in Florissant, I've been meaning to give the Cottleville location a chance. My work takes me to Saint Charles County quite often, and today Old Town Donuts was brought to me! The office can get awfully stuffy. Hardly anyone interacts because we're corralled in our separate offices. However, today one of the secretaries decided to give us all a treat with a little Old Town Donuts. Happy Wednesday to me! She had brought a nice array of donuts, but I didn't get too cute with my selection. I went with a simple glazed donuts, and I will sing the praises of the new OTD's location! In fact, I will go as far to say that the donut I had this morning was better than anything I had on my last Florissant visit. It was thick, fluffy, and moist, and I just about fell over with joy while consuming it! What else can I say? Old-school donuts perfectly made! Have been going Old Town Donuts for years, both locations, some of the best donuts I've had in my life and I know my donuts! These donuts are made with fresh ingredients and love. Nothing strange or freaky about these donuts they are traditional donuts made with high quality traditional ingredients. For example the blueberry ring, melted in my mouth, perfect match of blueberry to cake donut. The chocolate custard donuts have a great flavored filling to go along with the chocolatey frosting and of course all these donuts taste freshly made. This place was absolutely phenomenal!! We're always on the hunt for delicious donuts that are creative, fun, and kid favorites! Our kids loved all the cool varieties- Valentine's Day sprinkles, apple filled, you name it they got it! Nice spot! A good (but not great) selection of donuts that are well made and tasty. (Especially the fruity pebbles donut!) Eating a donut in the shadow of Homer Simpson's hand is a nice touch, and adds to the sense of whimsy. The line can get long, so get there early (or late) for a more enjoyable experience. The fritters are top notch and the cake donuts remind of of being back east. I just wish they had a wider selection of donuts. read more

Let me start by saying the donuts are amazing. This rating is because it felt like I was ordering from the Soup Nazi. I only ordered 3 dozen (a good thing right) but felt chastised that if I'm ordering that many I should place the order a day in advance. Also keep in mind that I was the only person in the store at 5:15am. Customer service (especially that early in the morning) would go a long way. read more

Had three different donuts here. Custard, jelly filled, and blueberry cake. All of which were amazing. You could tell they were fresh and the store feels welcoming inside. The donuts have great consistency and are moist not dry like some other donut places. I will be back again sometime. read more

I was not so impressed. The glazed doughnuts were so greasy, they dripped grease. It actually oozed grease. The long Johns were ok. The jelly in the jelly doughnuts was not the best and the cream inside the chocolate glazed cream donuts were just ok. I heard they were the best but I could have had a bad day. Will not be back. read more

They make good donuts; however we have noticed a distinct difference in the quality and selection when the owner is there and when he's not. Today they were out of the specialty donut/donut holes, the variety was limited and the donut holes did not taste fresh. At their best they are 5-Star... fresh, good variety, and great flavors, but it's hit or miss. read more

I don't understand how it is possible to not understand a question and answer it appropriately. I called the location 5-10 minutes before I was supposed to get there to make sure they had donuts. It is the day before Thanksgiving, I expected families to hit the place hard. Somehow the person that answered the phone that told me they have all donuts except Long John's was completely wrong. Again I don't understand how difficult this question and answers should be. They were out of nearly everything, not had everything. read more

Not our usual donut shop. This was our first time and completely out of our way. They have a great selection of your normal donuts and even some not your normal donuts. We got a dozen of assorted from the old fashioned and cinnamon twists and also some fritters and there donut of the day which was the Oreo. All of the donuts were a hot with 0 negative to say about all 6 different kinds. Service was fast and friendly and variety was excellent. This was at 8am on a Friday morning. Definitely recommend giving this shop a try. read more

The caramel long John with bacon on top is unforgettable. Like, it's a must. I've never gone to the Florissant location, even though I spent the first part of my life in that area. I only went to this location after I moved into my husband's home in Saint Peters. As a child, my dad would buy us these donuts on occasion, and they were always so good, but i didn't appreciate them until i went away, far away from home. i searched all over, looking for what i remember eating as a child. that delicious fried dough that simply tasted...better. i moved back to the OFallon area, and soon enough, this new store opened up. i couldn't believe my eyes and immediately had to go. soon enough i became worried that i had dreamed up the amazingness of these sweet treats. As i entered, the sugary aroma reminded me of all kinds of memories and sent hope throughout my soul. i purchased my favorite donuts, and as i tore into them, i remembered what a donut was supposed to taste like. The old "Old Town Donuts" is phenomenal! The new "Old Town Donuts" is phenomenal. I have been eating at the Old Town in Florissant, MO For YEARS!!! They are my favorite donuts. I will continue to eat them long into my elderly life. My personal favorites are: German Chocolate Cake Donuts Apple Fritter/Bear Claws (They are as big as your face) Custard Filled Chocolate Donuts A new addition is a Bacon Caramel Long John! These donuts taste really good. I got the bacon caramel donut , the glaze donut, and a chocolate long john. The bacon donut was pretty taste. Had a good combo of salty and sweet. I've not set foot in this store, but have had their donuts several times when brought in by co-workers or friends. Most of the time they are delicious...my favorite donut of all time is a custard filled chocolate iced donut. I've had it twice from here where the donut was so packed with custard it was falling apart..it was delicious. One time there was barely any custard and the donut was stale. Today my co-worker brought some in for breakfast, and there was not a custard one in the box (boooo). I got the jelly instead. Delicious, soft donut.....a teeny tiny sad squirt of jelly. Not even enough to be called a jelly donut, in my opinion. That was a let down. Overall I've had good products from this store, but have been let down twice. Maybe I've had a couple times of bad luck. My friends always say the prices here are good, though. read more

My only suggestion would be putting the seasonal drinks at the menu so when you're waiting in line, you can be prepared when it's your turn to order. I have been here a few times and will definitely be back!
