THE BEST standard donuts in St. Louis, and maybe anywhere! Their raised donuts are big and pillowy, with the slightest crisp on the exterior. Apple fritters are solid (in execution, not density). They have other hot breakfast items which we haven't tried but seem popular. It's no frills, but for a standard donut you can't go wrong. This is the kind of place I hesitate to give a good review to try and keep a secret! But I hope they never go out of business and maybe expand. If there is one drawback, it's the coffee, in that they only have drip, and don't have espresso. Other minor gripes, occasionally donuts are slightly under done, but always still very good, and they only rarely have sugar dusted raised donuts (you can call ahead for special requests though).

Oops. I posted on the check in. Anyway. Nice and clean. Great selection of donuts, muffins and sandwiches. The fridge is stocked with milk and juices. The donuts are always fresh. I have yet to try the sandwiches but aim to do so soon. It's strictly take-out. No place to sit and enjoy your donuts. The service is always fast and efficient. Not necessarily unfriendly -just business-like. It's my go-to in my neighborhood!

Amazing donuts!! The service was great, and the prices affordable. Got a dozen of donuts, and they were all still warm. The apple fritter is to die for. It's also not noisy in there at all. They also sell breakfast sandwiches and coffee. A bunch of different bottled drinks available for purchase. Would absolutely go again!

Don't let the few ratings fool you! This is the BEST donut I think I have EVER had ! I like to consider myself a donut connoisseur...whenever I visit s new place I always try to go to the popular donut spots....well I did that. I actually went to a donut spot that was ranked #1 donut in a competition one year for st. Louis and I was disappointed. It was subpar. The donuts at JMC were amazing ! Soft, but with a chew, sweet but not overly sweet literally the perfect dough. PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT AND REVIEW THEM SO THEY GET ON THE RADAR. We discovered because it was recommended by locals who live down the street and I am so glad they did ! Also they have breakfast sandwiches which was also delicious. I got the turkey bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. If I could give 7 stars I would.

No inside dining during the pandemic.

A small shop with a small donut selection but...oh, the glazed! Jmc has traditional donuts like long Johns (glazed and iced), chocolate cake, cinnamon rolls, jellies, apple fritters and a few more. If their other donuts are as outstanding as the glazed they don't need a large variety because they do well with what they have. They also have a few breakfast sandwiches and burritos.

    Boston crème donut

This is our first time trying this place. We ordered the regular glazed donut, 2 Boston crème donuts, a cake donut, a blueberry cake donut and a croissant donut. Overall the quality is very good. They have the best fluffy interior of any donut in St Louis. The interior is light, fluffy and pillowy without any grease. Specific thoughts on the donuts: Boston crème: perfect filling ratio with abundant filling. The only criticism is that the chocolate layer could have been slightly thicker. Glazed: perfect glazed donut. Light, fluffy. Croissant donut: honestly the most disappointing. It was a competent yeasted donut in the shape of a croissant. I was expecting layers in the inside but it was essentially a normal glazed donut. Cake donuts: fluffy and moist without the overbearing density that cake donuts often get. The price is one dollar a donut which is slightly on the higher end but definitely worth it. This will be our go to donut spot from now on.

5 Stars - Pharaoh's Donuts is a MUST-Visit!…read more Pharaoh's Donuts at 8 Maryland Plaza in St. Louis has officially earned my attention! Oh. My. Goodness!!! These yeasty, pillow-soft, melt-in-your-mouth little jewels of joy literally took my breath away. Every city I visit, I make it a mission to go doughnut hunting, but lately all I've been finding are oversized, over-decorated doughnuts that look amazing but lack flavor. Not Pharaoh's. These doughnuts are all about the taste. The rich, perfectly crafted yeast dough wraps your mouth with so much incredible flavor that I was literally salivating with every bite. They are light, fresh, airy, and absolutely unforgettable. This is what a real doughnut should taste like! And let's talk about the customer service! AJ was just as sweet as the treats they serve. She welcomed me with genuine kindness, asked where I was from, how long I'd be in St. Louis, and made me feel like more than just another customer. Then, just when I thought the experience couldn't get any better, I got back to my truck and discovered she had blessed me with three extra doughnuts to try! Now that's hospitality. Thank you, AJ, for making my first visit so memorable, and thank you, Pharaoh's Donuts, for reminding me what an authentic, delicious yeast doughnut is supposed to taste like. I'll definitely be back every time I'm in St. Louis. 5 out of 5 Stars! Highly recommended!

Today, for breakfast, I asked for a combo and ordered the drink with it. The worker said "I'll get there." About the drink. Then asked what kind of bread I wanted. The picture of the combo showed a croissant so I wasn't aware I was supposed to say a bread. (Bagel, croissant, toast, etc) And I laughed because it was kind of rude. The first window was a different person and gave me my donuts and drink politely, no problem. Then the second window I waited about 10 minutes, which is long for fast food, no problem because I want a newly cooked egg and hot. The girl came to the window and asked if I ordered "blah blah blah." Said no. She asked what I DID order. I ended up getting what I ordered. The 2nd window girl was nice. So they seem somewhat unorganized. The young people are apathetic to customers. The person taking orders shouldn't keep asking "is that all?" They should be asking "what else can I get you?" That raises sales. And that makes a customer feel like they're being paid attn to. I'm coming from the pov of someone who's worked retail and food. If the first point of contact is rude, you're going to lose business. Most people won't say anything, just not come back. This is a small business, they need to to be hitting 100 on all areas. Or you'll lose business and you won't know why. People play a major part in a business succeeding.im now going to mention my croissant was very burnt. The donuts were fast and very good!!!! But its unfortunate when the negative outshines the positive Update a couple of months later: I believe the owner woman took my order. I got attitude major when I asked for confirmation that my burger would be made on a croissant. It'll be awhile before I come again. And it took forever when I was the only one in line.

Or at least that's what I like to romanticize. My wife and I are kicking off donut Wednesday with a trip to Donut House on Morganford. I described ourselves to the proprietor as long-time passersby, first-time stopper in. We had been by Donut House 100s of times and decided to make Donut House our inaugural Donut Wednesday stop (we'll probably do every other or 1 out of 3 Wednesdays). We both have our favorites...hers blueberry cake, apple fritter, cinnamon roll. His...blueberry cake, apple fritter and a custard filled chocolate. Not disappointed at all, these donuts were great! The blueberry cakes were light, fluffy and blueberry bombs. The apple fritter was like a light, fluffy deep fried apple pie...great cinnamon and tart apple...maybe the best I've ever had. The custard filled chocolate is my personal litmus test...this one was good but not great. Could have used more custard BUT is there ever a bad donut??? NEVER. Glad we stopped in and will do so again. FYI there is seating inside and plenty of off street parking. Plus the light at Morganford / Seibert makes going an easy in / out.
