This is an authentic Mexican restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. They offer counter service. The menu is fairly extensive offering the usual fare. I'm not much of a sweet breakfast person. I was happy to see they offer chilaquiles on the Mexican breakfast menu. They offer both red and green. I ordered my food and headed to the coffee bar and snagged a sear at the counter. My food came it quickly. I was served a beautiful plate of food complete with chilaquiles refried beans pickled onions and scrambled eggs. The eggs were a little overcooked for my taste. But all in all the meal was fantastic. The ambience is warm and cozy. The seating comfortable. The part that made the visit so memorable was the warm friendly service. Came in for the first time since they took over this space from Crazy Sushi. They kept all of their tables & chairs and converted the sushi bar into counter seating. They even kept the arched entryway that a customer built for Rok & Ocha of Crazy Sushi. You order at the counter and they give you a number and then bring your food out to your table really quickly. I ordered the biscuit combo breakfast, which was a split biscuit with gravy, two eggs and bacon or sausage and one piece of toast. I ordered multigrain toast, and that was the highlight of the meal, it was a high-quality piece of toast and was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly over easy, but the real disappointment was the biscuit and gravy. It was supposed to be sausage gravy, but it was clear that this came out of a can and was not homemade and the sausage was not existent. I would not order the biscuit and gravy again. After reading other reviews, I should've ordered from the Mexican offerings instead. I think next time I will try the divorced eggs or the chiliquilles. read more

I love their new location on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. It's still charming but feels nicer! I brought my family to try it and they were fans. My Mexican breakfast (divorced eggs) was so tasty, the salsa was fresh and was so so good with the eggs and refried beans on tostadas. My family enjoyed their more traditional breakfasts too! Came here on a Saturday morning around 10am. We had no problem finding a seat. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The food came quickly and the staff were very friendly!! It was a clean place and there was plenty of room. We ordered the egg and chorizo tacos and they came with hash browns and sausage links. She told us the we would order with her before sitting and food would be brought out to us. The woman taking orders was very sweet and helpful. I went with Grandma's Plate, which is a good baseline. Eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and sourdough toast. Everything was cooked nearly perfectly. Large portions. My scrambled eggs were not dried out-yay!! So many places way overcook eggs. Bacon and hash browns were crispy. My mother and I stopped at Scrambled Eggs on a weekday morning for a quick breakfast sandwich on our way out to St. Charles. She ordered egg & cheese on wheat toast. I ordered egg, feta, and gyro meat on a bagel. When I was ordering I did ask what kind of bagels they are and the lady told me Thomas. I knew what I was ordering. My sandwich was a very greasy mess though. I also knew without asking the gyro would be pre-made strips instead of sliced off a spit. What I didn't know is that they cook everything on a flat top and use a ton of grease. They gyro strips tend to be a bit greasy anyway but when you cook them in grease they are quite slick. Also my bagel looked like someone had taken a bite out of it. My mother enjoyed her sandwich and tea. I probably ordered wrong but also...greasy. read more

Scrambled Eggs restaurant has delicous breakfast food served fast, steaming hot with generous portions and reasonably priced. What you need to know is there's no table service, you order at the counter, they bring your order to your table and then everything is self-serve. You fill your drinks and bus your table before leaving. The lady, at the counter, taking our order was extremely friendly, so personable and patient with us being first timers. All of us thought she was terrific. Some people, such as my husband, prefers table service and was disappointed it was counter service. It tested his laid-back personality when he heard we had to bus the tables. His next comment was "do we need to wash them also?" We found it funny in the joking spirit it was said. I should have read reviews prior to walking in so our group would have known. That would have helped everyone since they wanted a long, laid-back breakfast with frequent coffee refills. Their fine now for the next visit and we will be back. The dining area has booths and 4-6 top tables in a well lite dining area. We were so happy to see real silverware delivered with our meals instead of plastic. We all agreed real plates, and especially silverware, warranted a full star. Our breakfast orders varied from two orders of pancakes, an omelette and Country Fried Steak topped with excellent sausage gravy. The sides served with the meals were perfectly prepared bacon, eggs your way, tasty sausage, excellent hashbrowns and hot toast. The Omelette came out steaming, the pancakes and toast were hot enough to melt the butter and the sausage was creamy with tiny pieces of sausage. The Country Fried Steak had the perfect amount of well seasoned breading that didn't overpower the meat. Everyone enjoyed breakfast and we have only two suggestions. First, replace the thin, flavorless syrup with a better quality and flavorful syrup. The current one is horrible and diminishes the fluffy and tasty pancakes. Second, the Chef was amazing getting the orders out so quickly with orders prepared as requested. The only order we had a problem with was requested hard eggs that arrived with many runny spots. We deducted a star for that since he couldn't eat them. He would have requested new eggs but there was a line by then. Overall, now that we know the routine, the staff is personable and the food is terrific, we'll be back. There's already plans being made for a few of our family to return next week. read more

Everything came out greasy. The croissant sandwich was so greasy that I has to use napkins to absorb it to be able to eat it. The burrito has grease dripping out of one end as I was eating the other end. They have broadcast TV that doesn't work, and the fans they had going didn't help how hot it was in there. I've made a couple of attempts to eat here and both times they've been out of what I wanted and disinterested in my continued presence in their resturaunt. Today I placed an online order to give them one last chance. Their website proclaims they are open and their online ordering system took my order and charged me accordingly. When I went to pick up my food however, they're closed. There is no, none, zero reason to have hours on a website if you won't update them. It's also asinine to have an online ordering system that says shit like we will have your order ready in 20 minutes if you order now!!! I guess either they call me back, which is doubtful as the two other times I've driven over before now were because nobody would answer their phone, or I charge back with my bank. Located in the plaza at the corner of Wolfrum Rd and Hwy 94 near Walgreens this new little family run restaurant is a gem and my new go to place for breakfast. At $5.49 I ordered the combo breakfast of a biscuit and gravy, two eggs sunny side up, and bacon. The bacon and eggs are what you might expect but the biscuit was fluffy goodness and the gravy was delicious. They also bake their own donuts every day, yes you read that right and they're terrific! And just like home if you want coffee you just grab a cup off the wall and help yourself, I love this place! read more

I'm from Florida and I have been looking for an awesome breakfast place. I drove a little ways from St Charles to come here because of the high reviews. Boy was I in for a quality shock. #1 the lack of breakfast places in the area is sad. #2 all the tables were dirty - it was around 11:45 #3 the donut was stale #4 they have NO sour cream for their chorizo meals, this is a sin #5 my long drive was not worth the food.
