Pass on the tri tip sandwich and go for the hamburger. Tables are very small on the patio. Be careful Great vibe on the patio. The servers need to get to know what kind of bushes (berries) are up against the railing. Get a full bar.

Great food, beer and service! Mexican street corn was fabulous. We enjoyed the patio by the river and the speedy service. Great selection of beer and tasty root beer.

Decent burger after a day spent hiking. This place was BUSY but service was decent and many people were willing to share tables as you find seating yourself and they don't have a ton of seating inside. Enjoyed the burger, had an interesting sauce I wasn't expecting but overall a solid choice if you're eating here!

A favorite stop winter, summer or fall usually after some kind of fun outdoor activity. We especially enjoy stopping in after a winter day of cross country skiing. We usually have a lot of company. It's a fun pub atmosphere with quality beer and simple food, mostly burgers, salads and sandwiches. Outdoor seating looking out at the river is terrific during the warm weather and there is a small stage for live music out back. Stop in for a Ruud awakening IPA with your new friends.

Cool spot in a cool town (old Wild West themed). It was getting hot out and we decided to duck in for some air conditioning and cold beer. It was right around lunch time and they were busy, but we found a seat and proceeded to the bar to place our order. We ordered a flight of beer to try some different styles. The bartender was great, even though she was busy.. I didn't have to wait long. The beers were good and the old schoolhouse motif was cool. They also have food, but we had just eaten lunch.. the food looked good. We would definitely come back for another beer and/or to try the food.

We stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The place was fairly crowded but it took quite a while to be acknowledged by anyone. Once we ordered it took about 45 minutes to get our food which seemed long. My husband got the steak sandwich and I got the Reuben. Both had good flavor but not very much meat. For $18 neither came with fries so we did order the garlic waffle fries on the side to split but we couldn't see or taste any garlic. The beers we tried were pretty good but I think we'll try something else next time we come to town.

Old School Brewery is in a convenient spot midway through town. It nails the aesthetic and the river flowing out back is an added bonus. We stopped by on a Friday afternoon and received prompt service. After relaxing with some house made root beers our food arrived; the steelhead sandwich and the chicken caprese. Both were excellent. We also added two orders of fries, which were also very good. Our total came to $67 with a tip, which is a bit steep for a sandwich lunch. For around $20 per sandwich OSB should be providing fries WITH the meal instead of charging an additional $2 Overall, a bit unreasonably priced, but the food was worth the stop.

Our server was amazing. Attentive & friendly. Teleah--not sure I spelled her name correctly.

Ask the Community - Old Schoolhouse Brewery

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor area?

No, but there are dogs available at the Taproom in Twisp or the Public House in Mazama

Is there a family friendly area or time where minors are permited? I understand it's a tavern, but remember the burgers were above average and would hate to miss the opportunity to grab lunch there because we have the kids.

Kids are allowed all the time in most of the space. No one under 21 is allowed in special area near the bar.

I was visiting the area and attended over the lunch hour this past weekend. Hands down one of the…read moreworst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. The servers were incredibly kind and friendly, but the restaurant owner was a different story. We had a yummy basket of fries and a nice chat with our server. After receiving our pizza, both myself and my friend thought that the pizza tasted and smelled of cigarettes. The sauce was very acidic and chunky, and overall unpleasant to eat. We each tried one slice, I couldn't finish mine- before deciding that we really couldn't enjoy it. We let our server know as much and offered to pay for a half pizza/kids pizza (still paying as expected for the rest of our food/drinks), and he said that he would have to ask his supervisor about our request. When "JP" came out, it was clear he had been drinking. He became argumentative quickly- claiming that we just didn't understand how oven fired pizza was supposed to taste, that we were clearly trying to dine and dash, and eventually told us to just "see what happens" and to not pay and leave. He took a photo of us which we asked him to delete (he didn't- he posted us on the business Facebook page- see attached, I've removed my friend's face) and told us he could do "anything he wants" since he was the owner. In all of the breath he spent yelling at us, he could have offered a better solution, or just kindly told us there was nothing he could do. I asked the server if we could just pay and move on- he told us it was fine/on the house, and it seemed like dealing with a drunk for a boss wasn't out of the ordinary. I am sorry to see this kind of unprofessional behavior from someone who claims to have been in the restaurant industry over 30 years. Save your time and the headache and go to Meza or Three Fingered Jack's. We had an excellent experience and enjoyed the food immensely at both locations.
