Hands down, our favorite winery of our trip! We stopped in hoping to do a tasting but they were…read moreclosing for an event. We were warmly welcomed back the next day with a reservation and told about a yummy Sunday breakfast sandwich. We almost skipped the reservation to watch football but it's a good thing we didn't. Jonathan provided us with the best service we had in all of Chelan. He was so kind, noticing my kitty tattoo and sharing his kitty pictures with us. He made suggestions of things to do knowing we weren't local. He brought us some special tastings that lead to us buying multiple bottles, including the ones he brought us. I don't even drink wine and I loved this place. The owner is the sweetest women who invited us to walk around indoors and take a look at the winter set up. And that breakfast sandwich? My only regret was not getting one more. What a pleasure to have spent our Sunday at Karma.

I strongly encourage anyone considering Karma to think twice. It is unfortunate that the new owners…read moredo not seem to be friendly, welcoming or knowledgeable about running this type of business. We were here for a wedding and it became obvious they were not interested in honoring contracts that had been signed by the previous owners. Deb the wife and owner came off as friendly but later showed she was ready to go home. I understand since the change in ownership they have lost most of their staff. As of this last weekend they have lost their biggest asset, Cynthia. She was an amazing coordinator, employee and a kind human. She seems to care about her work ethic and making sure people were having a good time all while the owners were yelling at the staff, guests and trying to rush them off. I hate to see the new owners ruin the Karma reputation. We will not be back or recommend this vineyard when there are so many others to chose from.

The standout was the carrots, it was my favorite surprisingly, beautifully roasted, naturally sweet, and layered over a rich, bright purée that made the whole dish feel special. Paired with a glass of sparkling rosé and with wide open patio view, it was one of those simple, perfect winery moments. And don't forget your dogs! From the bright beet dish to the perfectly cooked salmon to the classic burger and fries, everything tasted like the kitchen actually enjoys what they're doing. Well done to the cooks in the back! The staff was wonderful, attentive, and genuinely happy to help you settle in with a glass of something sparkling while you take in the view.

I've had their wines many times at home, but hadn't been in for a visit and taste in many many years until this past Memorial Day weekend. Sadly, the winery experience to me was a little underwhelming. The grounds felt a little scattered, and the team working seemed a little cold to my in-laws (despite them being long time members and locals). The Sauvignon Blanc bottle we shared had the very distinct "cat pee" aroma that I couldn't get out of my nose. I had to choke it down. The views were beautiful and I know their other wines have been good, I'm just not sure if this is some place I'd come back to given all the many other fantastic options in the area.

The line at Coffee Cabin was too long so I ended up here (I later found out they are owned by the same people as the Coffee Cabin). I've been here a couple times now and this was the first time for coffee. The other time was for a wine slushy! I enjoyed my biscuits and gravy. There was lots of sausage in the gravy and it was delicious. Part of my biscuit was hard and dry but the flavor was good. My iced coffee was perfect. The wine slushies are good but the price is per ounce which I thought was a little steep. I can't remember if it was a dollar an ounce or not but let's just say it was. $16 for a 16 oz slushie is a lot of money. Not sure I would do that again. I can see spending maybe $10-12 on that size but not what I paid. Don't get me wrong, they are pretty delicious. The decor inside is pretty cool and very comforting and welcoming. There's even an upstairs with couches that's got more of an intimate living room feel. There is also outdoor seating with umbrellas! The staff is friendly. I'll be back.
