This is the leg of lamb with white beans and pecorino Romano.

Wow - How many times can I say that?? I want to pull out all of the superlatives that I can think of but wow just tops the list. For so many of us food is just a fueling experience. We eat something because we need to, need to keep working or whatever else we need to do. But the experience of eating truly amazing food - food that makes your senses pop and your heart sing - this had nothing to do with just putting fuel in the tank - this was pure pleasure. We made reservations for 5:45 pm and it seemed like a great time to arrive. The restaurant filled up about a 1/2 hour after we arrived, so it was nice to get our appetizers and wine ordered early. The service was warm and friendly. We struggled slightly to keep the water glasses full, but it wasn't the end of the world. It does take a while for everything to come out, so if your in a hurry, go somewhere else. The ambiance was nice, I could definitely see this place in a small town in Italy and I would want to eat there too. We started with the polenta appetizer with cherry tomatoes and pecorino Romano on top. The olive oil drizzle made the whole dish delicious and creamy. Many polenta dishes have butter and cream in them, this one was non-dairy, which was perfect for me. (Romano cheese is from sheep) They also brought us a sample of their lentil soup, it had spinach and romano cheese on top. Both my wife and I were totally enchanted with the flavor. For our main courses, she order a pizza, the Linda, and it was amazing. She was only able to finish about 1/2 so it is a good size to share or to know you will have some leftovers for the next day. I ordered the lamb leg special, slow roasted leg of lamb in a white bean soup. Absolutely off the chart. I honestly can't remember the last time I had a meal so good. This was the kind of meal that you remember years later, it was that good! We ordered a bottle of wine, their mid level ($45) Sangiovese from the Tuscany area. Paired with the food it really shined, each mouthful made us feel transported to another time and place. On a side note, the table next to us got their plates of pasta right before we left. They smelled SO good I wanted to sit back down and have a second dinner..... So, if you have got to the end of this review, (thanks) I highly recommend that you try this place. I will be thinking about it until I can come back. This was one of the best food experiences I have ever had. Wow!

The menu is fabulous! For such a small restaurant they have a big menu!

What a great addition to the Twisp restaurant scene! Tappi exceeds expectations. We ordered the Country Salad, the House Salad, the Linda and Uncle Feiix pizzas and the Polenta. Everything served piping hot by the friendliest servers. Word had gotten out, so definitely make a reservation. It's a small but mighty space. Next time I'll try the house made pasta.

Hands down the best food in the valley. Well worth any wait you may experience. Wood fired oven. Top notch pizzas and pillow bread. Salads, pastas and desserts are excellent too. A+

Loved it. Four bolognese, pep pizza spesh, house salad, pillow bread with honey and chèvre FROM HEAVEN, and probably the best pan a cotta (lemon lime) ever. Kind, friendly service. Lovely atmosphere.

Small and cozy restaurant in Twisp with good service, great spot for a romantic date night. Definitely recommend! I really enjoyed their baby back ribs (super juicy and delicious) and my husband loved his pizza. The vegetable polenta was quite oily but this was also my first time tried polenta so maybe it's supposed to be like that? They also have a small selection of wine with very resonable price (though my waitress served wine in the same type of cup as our water cup, only until we ordered a bottle that wine was served in actual wine glass. I'm personally have no problems with it, it just seemed a little strange :).

The meal was sublime. Highly recommend the Venetian beef with polenta. The pizza is delicious, too. They have a gluten-free crust option.

Fantastic Experience at The Cove - Don't Miss Trivia Night!…read more We originally came to The Cove for a wine tasting with 2205--which was a fantastic experience on its own. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the space felt comfortable and relaxed, perfect for sitting back and catching up with friends. That's how we learned about their Trivia Night, and we're so glad we came back for it! We visited The Cove for Trivia Night and had an amazing time! I came with my husband and my dad--it was my dad's first trivia experience, and my husband and I have done a few before. This one was by far our favorite. There were five rounds, including a music and movie section that was our groups favorite. Everyone got to contribute, which made it even more enjoyable. The host was engaging and kept things running smoothly and upbeat. The service was wonderful and personable--you can really tell they care about what they've created. The space is beautiful inside and out, with great vibes and plenty of seating. We ordered the wine cocktail--so good!!!! It's located close to downtown Chelan, and while there is parking, it's also easily walkable from most spots in the area. I'd recommend making a reservation, especially for trivia night. We're not local, but we'll absolutely be back--this place is a gem!

As our reservation was at 7…read morepm and we were in the area earlier than our reserved time, we strolled to their tasting room to purchase a glass of wine. I can't say enough how kind the staff - both at the tasting room and restaurant - were to my family. The restaurant itself had a magical ambience, most especially because it was just right after Christmas. The perfect lighting makes or breaks it and they got it right. Driving below looking at Tsillan Cellars, I imagined the restaurant to be more spacious than what I thought it to be, rather, it was a bit more intimate which was quite nice. As it was dark, we could not see the view but I would imagine that it would have been outright stunning in the day. As for the food, we ordered the shrimp risotto, steak, and canelloni for the adults. This establishment also offers a kid's menu and although I usually have my kids eat from whatever I order, we decided they cam order a plate of their own, which was spaghetti and chicken tenders with rosemary fries. All of the dishes were of quality and of course, delicious. I wish I could get another plate of the risotto. If we ever get the chance to come back, I would certainly come back and reserve a time when there is daylight to enjoy the view of the area and water.

Service: my boyfriend called to schedule a reservation. Number one I have a food allergy (onions,…read moreshallots, green onion and chive). He spoke at length to them about the allergy and if substitutions were made. We had the online menu and several of the dishes we were promised were onion free, including ciopinno. Now I make this at home. I am aware there are standard white onions in the broth. He doesn't know that, he just knows I love it. He clarified twice with whoever answered the phone. When he brought me, he had assured me they said it was onion free. *In a Morgan Freeman voice* it was in fact not onion free, nor were most of the dishes on the menu. I know better than to get too invested into any menu items prior for asking if it is safe. Second, we asked for a table with a view, preferably outside. This is primarily because of the onion allergy and he wanted a view. They put us in the middle of the dining hall. We asked about the view, the seating hostess "well this is the best view." There were three tables out on the patio. We had a view of a bridal party and bros who were spilling their drinks. I after a lengthy back and forth about food items, I was instructed to order protein and sides that were safe. What I ordered: scallops cooked in a butter, lemon and white wine sauce order a pasta of the chef's choosing. What she kept ordering were plain scallops, buttered noodles and a side of vegetables. I kept correcting her that I did not want buttered noodles. I stead of listening to me, she kept asking me what type of noodles I wanted. She didn't allow the chef to choose, she wrote linguini. I tried one more time correcting her, Steph wouldn't fix it. The lack of communication is sad. The food: I wish I could talk about the food. I got tasteless butter garlic noodles, three very small tasteless scallops, a side of shaved parmesan and a side of vegetables. I paid $45 dollars to be fed a meal worthy of a picky 2 year old and not what I ordered. I cannot fault the chef. I have no doubt he hated making that dish given what was on that menu. After heavily salting, I gave up after three bites. My boyfriend was very clear with Steph. I was very clear with Steph. She would not listen. Ambiance: is beautiful. Worthy of all the IG pictures. Because they accommodated the food allergy, I chose to not give one star. But honestly they deserve a one star review. Recommendations: Teach your staff how to listen. I had one amazing restaurant that will highlight with a highlighter what I can eat and underline anything that be accommodated. That was probably the best restaurant I have ever experienced.

Granted, it's only been here for a year and a half, but that goes to show that you can't take anything for granted in this charming little town! Ours, although brief, was a wonderful experience. Initially hesitant to enter, as we had a full squad of kids with us, including two babies in a double-stroller, and two pre-teens, but we were welcomed in anyway, and assured that minors were allowed. My wife and I were introduced to the (extensive) menu of champagnes available, selected one that catered to our individual tastes, and were both impressed with our selections: a dry white, and a rosé (whose names I have shamefully forgotten, but I don't think you can go wrong with any choice here). The ambiance within is gorgeous; our server - phenomenal, knowledgeable and welcoming; and the view of the Christmas lights on Front Street is pretty darn good. This would be an excellent place to get away from the crowd during the Christmas Tree lighting event, watching from just across the street, warm and toasty (and a little toasted!), and without being crushed by the crowds. Our previous favorite hidey-hole for watching the festivities (The Loft) may have a competitor in future years, especially since we can't bring the kids up there! Seating is limited though (or it would be, during peak busy season), so get their early to snag a spot! Our Leavenworth trip happened to coincide with one of the worst storms (& flooding) that the region has seen in a long time, so the entire town was sparsely populated with tourists, meaning we were the only ones at the House of Champagne at the time. Probably a good thing for us, with so many kids in tow; I wouldn't want to haul all of them in when it was busy and annoy the other patrons, but seeing Leavenworth that empty, two weeks before Christmas, can't be good for the local economy. As things bounce back, keep that in mind, and be sure to look out for stellar local places like this which, as I said before, can be easy to miss, even for us regulars. House of Champagne is exactly the kind of place you want to see thrive in a town like Leavenworth, so take my advice: don't miss it!
