Went to Karma's Winterfest Happy Hour 4-8 pm; $50/$60 per person; taco bar, etc. Arrived at 5 pm and place was packed. Stand-up tables in the middle of the room, chairs and regular tables around perimeter of 1/2 of the room. The people at stand-up tables had placed their coats, etc. on top of the perimeter tables and chairs. So we had no where to place our plates, wine and drinks. I moved coats from one table to another covered table to clear a place for us to use. Here's the issue: even though Karma is a venue for special events, not one employee, nor manager, had the ability to see this problem with seating/tables and find a coat rack ... certainly they must have them there. Next, a couple of guests try to get in my face about moving "their coats" as though "their coats" deserved a table of their own. A most uncomfortable evening when all we wanted was to enjoy our food and drink, hoping, in vain, some manager at Karma would seek a level of professionalism that would avoid a problem like this. I paid $100 for this??? Lake Chelan has wonderful wineries that do an excellent job, and I would recommend almost anyone other than Karma. Thanks for reading. read more

This is a spot I never miss when I come to Chelan! It is truly one of the most beautiful wineries. I always make a reservation and find that people with reservations get nicer tables, so would recommend that. Upon walking up, you pass by a lovely little landscaped waterfall and go over a bridge, and just know you are about to be somewhere beautiful. The plants and landscaping here are stunning and add to the sunny allure. The koi pond is also so pretty and surrounded with flowers. They have tons of umbrellas and shady spots, making this nice for even the hotter days of summer. I generally order the bubbles flight here, as they are known for their sparkling. This includes three very generous pours, which are pre-selected. I love comparing the flavors and trying something new every time I go! My friend and I always get great photos here. We came during the offseason so there weren't many people here, we did have a reservation just to be safe! From the outside, the building didn't seem big enough to fit our group of 6 but the deeper you go, the bigger it gets! Super well decorated and very classic cellar look. We ordered 6 plates to share and we each loved every single plate. Baked Brie? 5/5. Loved the sides of fresh fruit. Flatbread? 4.5/5. We had a veggie pizza and a meat pizza and they were both hits! Bruschetta? 3/5. The bread was pretty hard and the toppings were good but didn't quite live up to the other plates. Crispy apple salad? 4.5/5. The dressing was so good that we used the leftover bread to soak it up. Caprese salad? 4.5/5. The burrata mozzarella was sooo yummy and the tomatoes were big and fresh! We made a reservation here on a Friday in August of 2024. It was such a lovely experience! We got the bruschetta and all 3 of us did a champagne flight. The bruschetta was super fresh- it was little toasted bread pieces with the topping on the side. All 3 champagnes were amazing. We sat at the outdoor patio. She apparently text someone and said, oh they're just finishing up and on their way back. So we drove 4 hours and missed the wedding, only to find out two days later that the wedding was set to start at 5 and actually started late, so the shuttle could have come to get us. Our server was very kind and checked in with us multiple times. The food was delicious, everybody at my table left feeling satisfied and impressed with the taste of everything. Our friend made reservations here stating that after a long difficult day of wine tasting we needed to cleanse our palates with bubbly.. and who could deny that logic. We loved the decorated tunnel you walk through to get from the main tasting room to the dining room. So sparkly and festive. Our server was great and got right to bringing some tastings for us to enjoy. They have so many different flight types to choose from, there's sure to be something to please everyone in your group. Came back for a bachelorette party this time and we got some good sunshine and also some torrential downpour. We enjoyed our wonderful tasting last week at Karma. I had the champagne flight and my friend had the wine flight. We were lucky as we didn't have reservations and they still commodores our group with 3 children. The kids enjoyed the lemonade and the cheese plate. Called on a Friday trying to get reservations for the following day but they told me they were booked. They said the had a slot open at 1:00 PM Sunday, which worked for us. We checked in out front at 1 pm. we asked if dogs were allowed, and they said yes! Extra points for this place being dog friendly. They only have outside seating from what I saw. We ordered: - $5 wine flight - $5 hard cider flight - $15 champagne flight - $20 whiskey flight - baked brie - cheese plate - steamed clams - chicken sandwich - sweet potato fries Cody was unimpressed by the whiskey flight, which is really nothing special, just whatever whiskey bottles they have on hand, they don't make it themselves. I enjoyed the white wine that came with the wine flight, and I liked the pear cider that came with the cider flight. The baked brie was delicious with the honey. When we arrived they said they were seating reservations first and seeing that we didn't have one they would seat us once their reservations were sat. They were super kind and attentive about it. We were sat within 30 minutes. Geanie (spelling?) was our server and was amazing. She made our experience from the beginning comfortable and fun. Lovely venue for wine tasting and lunch in Lake Chelan (lots of other vineyards not too far away if your looking to do a series of tastings). Tip: do make reservations and don't come here if you're in a rush. We came here on a Sunday and showed up right as the vineyards open. We checked in and greeted with some hard cider. When they were ready for us we walked through a series of water features and ended up in the outdoor seating area - each table came w an umbrella (much needed on a warm day). This was my second visit to Karma: first with some girlfriends (a couple years ago) and this time with my husband! Karma has a gorgeous outdoor seating area, in the early fall it's absolutely perfect. With it being winter currently: they had a couple fires going and big fluffy blankets for each guest. It was so cozy! Karma's specialty is their bubbly: HIGHLY recommend you get their champagne flight when you visit. Reservations are highly recommended but they are often able to make a space for small parties (2-4 people). I've only visited in the fall and winter and cannot wait to come back in the summer. Karma has an "All American" Chardonnay that they release in the summer that is absolutely fantastic. Special shout out to Bob: When I visited a couple years ago Bob was our server and he told us all about what we were drinking in borderline poetic descriptions. This is a man who loves talking about wine and knows what to talk about! I was SO thrilled to see him again this visit and sure enough: not only did he have great things to say about the wine but also about other vineyards we should visit. Wine was solidly good and food was okay. I was a little disappointed by the set tasting since they had so many wines I wanted to try. I did fall in love with the Sauvignon Blanc though. I did pay $20 for a cheese plate and $7 extra to add meat, which would generally be okay but it looks like they trimmed the fat off of the prosciutto?!! So weird. It made it dry and not worth the extra $7. I did enjoy the wines and the drier sparkling wines they offered but their service was sooo slow. They were definitely understaffed but so friendly so our server deserves a star on her own. If you enjoy sparkling wine check this place out. This place has come up as a recommendation amongst multiple clients, so it was a must try for us. Upon arrival there was ample parking and a check in station with 2 wonderful ladies to greet you. Bae got a 1:00 reservation, but we got there earlier than 1. We were able to be seated immediately at a high top. The service was on point and the ambiance was really cute. We ordered the wine sampling along with steamed clams, salad of the day, and cheese plate. Everything was delicious! I absolutely loved the salad of the day which was a caprese salad with prawns. It's probably the best salad I've ever eaten. I would go back just for that. As for the wines, they were okay. I don't think anything was wrong with them; I may just not be a wine drinker anymore. This is definitely one of the better vineyards Chelan has to offer! My wife and I came here on a Saturday afternoon and were immediately seated next to their koi pond in the vineyard. We ordered a cider and wine flight along with clam steamers and a baguette. The cider flight was really delicious and had a variety of different fruit ciders. The wine flight was also really impressive. They absolutely didn't skimp on the portion sizes, and they even let you choose which wine (Off their entire wine menu) to include in the flight. Both of these flights were only $5! We paid upwards of $15 per person for other wine flights in town that weren't as good as this one. Just when we thought this experience couldn't get any better, the owner (or manager?) came up to our table and told us they accidentally poured too many champagne flights and that they were giving us one on the house! This champagne flight is $20 on the menu, and they gifted it to us just to give us a great experience. That put our experience over the top and we will definitely come back again! My one critique of the food was with the clam steamers. While the clams were cleaned and cooked really well, the sauce had an incredible amount of chopped garlic in it to the point it overpowered the wine we were drinking with it. Not a huge deal, but it is something to keep in mind when pairing food with wine. Overall an amazing experience and will definitely come back in the future. read more

I believe this is the first winery that I have raved about not for the wine but the food. Don't get me wrong, the wine was good as well but it was the food that really left an impression with me. Specifically the cheese plate was incredible! At first it seemed a bit pricy for a cheese plate but after we got it, it was well worth the price. There was an array of interesting cheeses like sage and wasabi that were far better than I could have guessed. The wasabi had a bit of a bite to it without being too much and the herb cheese had a variety of savory herbs that smoothed It out nicely. This is a fun place. Although you can taste, it is more a restaurant inside a winery. However, we asked to taste first before ordering lunch and they accommodated us very nicely. In fast, the people we interacted with were uniformly helpful and friendly. We ordered two flights, a sparkling wine and their white/red flight. We got those two and a red wine flight. After talking to one of the more knowledgeable people, out came a taste of their Syrah for each of use; later we were treated to their Bad Karma. We got more than we ordered, which a good place does; we got to talk to knowledgeable people. Excellent. We enjoyed their sparking wines, particularly their Blanc du Noir. This is a bubbles house and they do a nice job with these wines. Both their Rose and Gewurtztraminer were excellent and we came home with a couple of bottles of each. We liked their Estate Syrah; yes, we bought a couple of those as well. They do some interesting blends; due to budget constraints, we left those for another day. This place does good wine that satisfies a number of different palettes and budgets; not surprising they have a good club presence. There were three of us, so we ordered the sweet potato fries, the cheese plate with salami and their sliders to share. Great aioli for the fries; double yum. Another great aioli for the sliders; they compared very favorably with the burgers we had the day before and I think we like these better. They did not have too many ingredients. The cheese board had cheese, bread, fruit, candied pecans and salami. It had a great balance. Glad we stopped in; this is more a restaurant that allows you to taste good wines. Plan accordingly. Surprisingly, they also feature a couple of brandy's. We did not try them; perhaps next time. I expect a return trip. Try it and enjoy eating in the caves in the spring and outside in warmer weather. read more

Karma Vinyards is one of my favorite places to go to. They have covered outdoor seating as well as the indoor cave. The atmosphere is great including a water feature with Koi and view of the vinyard. The cave has a nice feel to it and serves as great dining area. The food menu has delicious choices and my go-to are the clams. I suggest ordering extra bread to dip in the clam sauce. I really dislike writing negative reviews and that's why I've waited a week to write this one. We made reservations for Karma a week or so in advance of our trip to Chelan as my friend loved some of their wines she had tried previously. She had also known someone who had worked their and thought it would be a great way to kick off our weekend. When we arrived, they were not ready for us yet so we needed to wait up above while they cleaned a table. No big deal it was a beautiful day. Upon our seating, it is a wonderful setting. However our server apparently must have been extremely overwhelmed. He barely spoke to us. Explained they only had one tasting. Not one for reds and one for whites like most wineries do. We asked about their wine club and he just dropped a sheet but it had no prices and he could not be bothered to discuss anything with us. We had actually planned on eating lunch here but because the service was so poor we did our tasting and left. It took us quite a bit of time just to pay for our tastings as we had to find someone to help us. It was a complete let down and disappointing as I've heard their wines are good but I won't give them another chance.
