Pronounced "car-diss". (Gaelic) Beautiful winery with a copper top roof (you can even see it from the boat when on Lake Chelan.) Beautiful ambiance & views. The wine made from grapes grown in Rhone, France. Tasting = 4, 1 white, 3 red. Definitely recommend the Counoise! Delicious! I really prefer this type of wine as its not too dry. Light, fragrant & flavorful.

Bring your own cheese board!!! A really beautiful winery in a beautiful setting in the mountains. Definitely would like to shout out our amazing Wine waiter-Epi. He was so sweet and knowledgeable. Loved getting to know a little about him and the areA. They do actually have small cheeseboards for purchase but you can bring small snacks in as well. A modern but cozy space with outstanding wines. They have card/table games all around, so it's an added touch of activity while you sip sip away your worries!

Really great wines, especially their red wines with a gorgeous tasting room to match. Top it off with friendly staff who know their stuff and this has become one of our very favorite wineries in town!

Cairdeas Winery is a great spot! The server was really warm, welcoming, and did a great job explaining the different wines and history of the place. The wine itself also tasted great and paired fantastically with the charcuterie boards on offer. Their Grenache dominant wines were especially good. There's really good indoor and outdoor seating with a great view and location next to a few other wineries. Overall great place with tasty wine and a comfortable vibe.

First, I have to say we have been coming to Cairdeas for years as one of our go-to wineries in the lake Chelan area. We love the Nellie Mae, and this year I especially enjoy the Tri and concrete Syrah. But, can we also talk about this serious glow-up their tasting room just had?! It is lodge style and oh so cozy. The upstairs is for club members only, which honestly is only a 6-bottle commitment, so why not?! Their view from their patio is gorgeous and is just as enjoyable in winter as it is summer. So happy for this small business and to see their project turn out so beautifully!

View is probably the only thing worth coming here for. I guess I went with high expectation thinking it's next to Succession Winery so service, ambiance and wine would be great. We were a large group and had called in and made reservations outside before hand which worked out perfectly. These winery is two stories. Decent size. They were kinda busy but wasn't as busy as other wineries we had been to earlier. Service was slow so we opted for bottles vs tasting. We got to sample two wines before committing to a bottle. Between samples to bottles there was a wait as it appeared only one person was working. Wine was ok. We had a bottle of 2022 Grenache which was just ok. Our hostess was rushing so she opened two bottles for us so we were kinda stuck with it. It was very basic. The other wines we tasted were also basic. Something about the ambiance at this place was cold. It wasn't fun tasting here. We consumed our bottles and left within an hour. Our hostess also asked where we were headed to and we mentioned next door to Succession and she said make sure to take your car with you and not just walk over and she left. Our experience here felt very abrupt. Maybe they were short handed etc but I don't plan on returning to this winery anytime soon.

2020 Papa, fire and s'mores, sorry ate the s'more.

Fire, 2020 Papa, and s'mores, ate the s'mores. Now I'm gonna have to to the magnum. If I could just get the kids to pay for it.

Ask the Community - Cairdeas Winery

Do you have bocce ball available? If so, is it lawn or do you have the actual lanes?

Can we bring food from other establishments?

Yes, you can bring in outside food. We also offer charcuterie, Mediterranean & smoked salmon boards in Lake Chelan. In our Seattle Tasting Room, we offer a build-your-own picnic bundle.

Do they serve food? And is there a playground or play equipment for kids?

Hi! We have picnic packs (cheese, salami, olives, crackers and chocolate) and we even have snack packs for the kids (fruit snacks, bunny Graham’s, trail mix, and an activity). We don’t have a playground but there’s lots of space to play.

Wait, what? I haven't written a review yet this year? Hahah…read more This place is our "go to" winery! We love Mark, Tami and Lexi. Not to mention the other great workers. The wines are really good. My husband calls the Merlot a bottle of Yum Yum! We really like the different gathering options: two different fire place / pit areas outside, a cozy couch inside with other tables and seating for two or bigger gatherings. They offer live music every Thursday, summer, winter, spring and fall. It's a great place to bring friends and family or meet a date. This place is it! Give out a try!

We got our own cheese board and for some reason I think the lady owner didn't like that (or just…read moredidn't like us for whatever reason!). Although on their website it clearly says you can bring your own food for your picnic and they can provide the wine. Also, for the picnic you're seated on a table. We got our mats with us just in case because we weren't told what the set up would be like... The gentleman was lovely and polite and even jokingly said something along the lines of them not being the greatest with service, which was unfortunately spot on (wise man - he knows their area of weakness). Wines were poured very late, and on many occasions the wrong bottle was brought out. We felt overlooked and unwelcomed. Cute place with nice wines and beautiful scenery. The Pinot Gris is really nice and refreshing. Wine tasting flight was only 15 dollars and waived with a bottle. Great deal. They definitely need to work on improving their service if they would like to run their business more successfully... Smiling and kindness goes a long way folks!! ;) ---------- In response to your personal and public message Tami, I don't check my emails on a Saturday. Nonetheless, I appreciate you taking the time to reach out and sharing your perspective. My intention in leaving a review was not to be unfair or to criticize you personally, but simply to share how the experience felt from our side. Our party was in fact very happy with the table you had given us. We were confused among ourselves whether we were going to be given a table or an area on the grass. The wording on the website about "enjoying a picnic" simply left us uncertain whether to expect a table or a grass area. We even brought our mats just in case. Perhaps you can clarify that this will be in a seated area. *We were disappointed by your poor attitude, and slow service by other staff. Not our problem if you were working alone at the time that we arrived...Again, I don't know who the gentleman we saw was but I am simply sharing our experience. While I understand that our arrival (though we were only 10 minutes late) and indecision about wine tasting may have added to the busyness of the day, from our perspective the service felt rushed and interactions came across as curt. A better attitude/response on your end would have been to ask if there was anything you could do to help or to clarify. You just walked off with an unwelcoming expression on your face. Thank your for your reply and I wish you all the best with your business.

The rosé and Syrah were both delightful and I ended up going home with a few bottles. They seem to be somewhat strict about making reservations, so we called ahead. We got there 5 minutes early and still had to wait a bit before we were seated. The staff tried really hard to get us to go sit in the open seating tent (I swear they asked us like 3+ times if we wanted to), but it had no view, was dark, and was full of kids. Def recommend making a reservation so you can actually enjoy the view and ambiance! We went in the winter so all the doors were closed and we sat inside. It was a little stuffy and loud, but we also went on a pretty crowded day. I can imagine the deck and outside area being lovely when the weather is warmer!
