I was in town and stopped by for wine and live music. Unfortunately, I was immediately disappointed as the whole venue reeked of sewer. I guess they did not do a decent of cleaning the porta potties, which were located in the middle of the dance floor and tables. We made friends with some tables near us and were shocked to hear they had ordered food over 1.5 hours ago and it still hadn't arrived. And this wasn't fancy food either- it was sandwiches and prepackaged tomato soup. Ridiculous! I was glad we hadn't made the same mistake. Then, near the end of our visit we saw the owner (Todd) shove someone into the street. It was so bad that the cops were called on him. Now seeing the other reviews, I guess he has a history of being nasty towards his own customers. Some locals saw the whole thing happen and also said Todd has been known to act like this. Excellent service, great wines, and to top it off they started serving food!! They have a couple new employees too. Gustavo is gone but one of the newest is Cabria and she's got a great personality! DO NOT ORDER THE UNICORN SHLUSHY!!!! I have always had a great experience here in the past but tonight was baddddd. We were recommended by the bartender to try the unicorn slushees. So we all ordered one, paid $64 for 5. They were totally undrinkable. It's sugary syrup mixed with ice and wine.. maybe there's wine in there? They were just really bitter and have a terrible after taste. We ended up ordering another bottle and told the waitress that they weren't drinkable and the attitude we got from the servers was disappointing. They didn't offer any type of refund or compensation or even offer an apology. Just an "I don't care" attitude. Whomp whomp. UPDATE: A couple of the bartenders showed some remorse. But then the owner told us that it was "unlikely" that we all didn't like the slushees. WTF? Never have I been treated so poorly by an establishment. Never going back. Wish I could give zero stars. Was there Monday it was trivia night which we didn't know or cared about. Visiting from out of town and just wanted to to taste wine and move on. The gal serving the wine offered us samples and then gave three people from our party a taste in the same glass. We found that a little disturbing. The guy doing the trivia kept making homophobic comments about artists he was asking trivia questions about. Had a quick glass of wine and quickly exited as the place and people were un-inviting. There are many wineries to chose from in the area. We decided to try Wine girl because of the negative reviews about the blue line flag. We were so glad we did. The wines are great the service was wonderful. In fact we along with our friends joined the wine club. The Blending Room was just a few steps from where I was staying (Mountain View Lodge) and I received a coupon for a wine tasting at the Blending Room. We had already went to Vin du Lac and pulled into the lot of the The Blending Room. From the view from the lot, one can tell that the atmosphere of TBR is relaxed and at ease. There are rustic chairs out in the grass if you prefer to sip your wine outside in the sunshine graced by the gentle breeze from the lake. When approaching the entrance you're greeted by one of the friendly dogs. When we entered, we were greeted by another friendly dog. It wasn't super busy as I believe we went during Lake Chelan's "off season", but the ladies that were running the show were very personable and welcomed us in. I don't remember the names of all the wines we tasted as this was my first time going wine tasting, but they were good wines. Each wine has a distinct aroma, none that were unpleasant, and all that were delicious on the tongue. The Blending Room is standing room only, so you have to stand while tasting or as mentioned go outside and sit. They also have cute souvenirs like shot glasses shaped like beakers and t-shirts with their logo. The ambiance is relaxed, as mentioned, sparkling lights dangling from the ceiling in clear wine bottles that probably set a gentle mood when the lights get low and take your time to count the owls hidden in various places in the building as well as on some of the wine labels. The young ladies running the place were very interactive and social. They even knew what Yelp! was as I was checking in. Going to the Blending Room was a very pleasant experience, even as a novice taster like myself. read more

So disappointed. We've planned Monday night of vacation week around Winegirl trivia for 3 years. Always check the website for any new information, timing, cost, rules. Showed up 45 minutes early o only to be told every table was already reserved, you can no longer bring in outside food. If we want to stay we could sit on the grass -- including 84 old grandma. Family friendly? We all realize rules change, situations differ from year to year, etc, but several comments. 1) the website says nothing about reservations being accepted 2) the website says nothing about outside food, only that cheese plates are available 3) the guy was just plain rude. Had he offered a place to sit and explained that outside food was no longer available we would have understood. Instead, the general, basically said this is the way it's always been. Nope- been there several times and referred friends even more times. Sorry Winegirl Wines. I thunk you can do a lot better. read more

The owner "Todd" was very snappy and rude as we simply were trying to pay for Trivia night. A couple near us said they had the same experience, we took 4 couples out the door with us after that. Great spot in Manson! Visited twice in one week! Amanda in the tasting room on Thursday was so nice to chat with not only about the wines but Lake Chelan as well. Went back the next evening for a live band. Loved that it was family friendly. Our 3 year old enjoyed dancing and having fun with other little ones in the great outdoor space. Bummed you were out of the Pinot Gris and Rose, but we'll enjoy the other bottles we bought! Means we just have to come back! read more

There is not a single wine we liked. They charge a $10 tasting fee, better to use it someplace else. The girl there was completely disinterested and seemed like she hated her job. Drinkable wines but overpriced. The $10 tasting fee is 4 tastes. They advertised a music event complete with campfire and heaters. Well, they did have a fire that an audience member started and then disappeared. The heater were not turned on, so we left at first break because it was 54 degrees and breezy. This is one of our favorite wineries in the Lake Chelan area. It's actually in Manson and the owners, Angela and Jonathan, are very hospitable. And the wines are really good, too! The Viogner and their reds are fantastic! They have different labels and different price points, so there is something for everyone. Stop by for a tasting or to enjoy a glass and some snacks on their deck or the lawn. They started having music which sounds like a lot of fun, and we make a point of visiting every time we are in Chelan and usually come away with a bottle or two, and belong to their wine club. I highly recommend visiting them - it's and unpretentious small winery putting out some really quality wine! read more

Had a fun time tasting wine. The girl providing the samples was a wealth of knowledge. They even produced a wine that captured the smoky flavored cherries from recent forest fires. Sorry I can't remember the name of the wine but it was VERY interesting. They also have a great outdoor area where they have music and entertainment in the evenings. read more
