She must have known it was small because she came out with our second pour like 30 seconds later. All the pours were this size. The tasting was $16 for four pours and I don't even think we got 1.5oz of wine total. I was also frustrated because we weren't told what wines we were drinking or given a menu. At the very end we were given menus with about 12-15 wines on them and had no idea which 4 we had tried. I think the girl was new, but it was still really weird. I have tasted at many many wineries and found this one to be very very stingy. We do not feel like we learned anything about the wine or the winery and have no idea if we like the wine because we barely got a sip in. We were also the only people there on a Friday, so I have no idea why our service was so limited. I also figured the 16 bottle purchase we were picking up might have waived a tasting or gotten us a bonus pour, but they were pretty stingy with us. I feel like we were polite and eager to learn about the wines and am really confused where the disconnect was. Once the the tasting room folks realized that we were not just one of those couples in it for a quick tasting but actually interested in the wines and it's origin the service turned outstanding. In addition the interaction with owner Donna was the absolute highlight of our experience at Mellisoni Vinyards, which ultimately resulted in us joining the wine club. Taking in consideration the location of the tasting room, staff and owner as well as the selection of great tasting wines, this is by far the best Vinyard in the lake Chelan area. There weren't many people there and they had live music in their cozy tasting room. There were gorgeous flowers everywhere from an event they had the day before. The servers were so kind and told us about the wine. They also let us try additional wines off the tasting menu which was fun. We loved the new Spanish style Tempranillo and of course, the rosé. We always get the charcuterie/cheese plates which are generous portions of fresh varieties and never disappoint. What makes this winery stick out amongst the rest are a few additional things - their staff is extremely friendly and fun, always willing to stop and talk and make you feel like family. There is plenty of space to gather and they have lawn games to keep kiddos entertained. And lastly, the view is unbeatable. Silver Bell really is one of our favorites in the area and we always stop by when in town. You should too, you won't regret it!
