According to Yelp reviews and photos, I was SO excited about this place and coming here with my 3 girlfriends for our weekend trip. They had literally nothing from the photos and even pics added from the business owner. I thought maybe the menu changed seasonally or something but the waitress we had didn't even recognize the stuff and said it was probably from one of their other restaurants... I wish this stuff was accurate because the menu we were presented with was a let down after seeing the amazing things online. I will say, however, that everything we got was good. The steak bites were yummy (that sauce!) and my friends that shared the fried chicken sandwich were pleased and that thing was massive. Our cesar salad was also enjoyable. Lots of great wine and a lovely view of with some great views to pair- plus open late! I went around 6pm and asked if they did tastings and the server had no idea. She must have been new, so I asked her if she could check and she seemed kind of taken aback. Turns out they do not, so I just got a glass. My friend and I came back the next day and sat at our table for 30 minutes before we had a waiter approach us. After that, we ordered salad and dessert. It all came within 20 minutes, which was decent for the food order but LONG to wait for wine. From the time our plates were clean and glasses empty to the time we got a check was over an hour. Absolutely ridiculous. We tried to just pay at the counter and the woman behind the counter said she was just pouring tastings but not taking payment (so they do have tastings!). Wasn't too crowded on either visit, so I'm guessing maybe they were training a whole batch of new summer staff or something when we went. I would potentially try them again another time of year. I made plans for dinner on the patio to celebrate his birthday, based on online reviews. Due to the weather, we moved our reservation inside. I saw nothing indicating there would be live music the same night... we were given the table right in front - the country music (which he doesn't like) was so loud, we couldn't even talk to each other. The staff was gracious to move us to a cocktail table in the back, so at least we could have a conversation and dinner. (If we were outside, the view would've been okay, but not spectacular as other reviews indicate) Our asparagus appetizer was good, although served without the soft-boiled egg. When we said something about it, there seemed to be some confusion - at first we were told that they were out, and then we were told (by a super rude staffer) that they could bring the egg to us. (Which at this point, we were done with the asparagus, so why would she even say this?!?) Hopefully, going forward, they'll be able to figure out how to boil an egg for 4 minutes and just add it to the appetizer to start with. During this whole ordeal, while we were still eating our appetizer, our entrees arrived... we then found out our waitress was new and didn't know to wait to fire them. They were nice enough to refire them once we were ready, and the chef came out to address his concerns about his steak. What a calamity of events for a birthday dinner Kudos to the chef, and our waitress, Sam, for doing all they could to help make the evening better. I have been here a few times and have had mixed service, thus the 3 rating due to inconsistency. The food has been good, the entertainment has been amazing, and the service has been hit or miss. One time service was so bad that I actually considered walking out after waiting over 30 minutes for a bill. After having gone three times on separate times of the year I would still recommend visiting, but be patient in case service is off for the day. The wines are good and if you have the opportunity to order a bottle and sit back to enjoy the music, I suggest this. The location offers wonderful views as well. read more

Let's cut to the chase - the food and the chef at Sigallo are top notch. I've passed by this place a dozen times thinking it was a mere wine tasting place. I heard from another winery that the chef at Sigallo was the real deal, so the missus and I stopped by for a meal. What a treat! A Caeser salad kicked us off - great flavor and a perfect starter. She ordered the shrimp grits, me the roasted chicken. Her plate was chock full of plump tasty prawns, with delicious pancetta bits atop a creamy bed of grits (much too smooth to be grits). Adorned with crispy zuchinni, it was just wonderful. My rosemary roast chicken was terrific. More French inspired, it was juicy with a flavorful crisp crust and the best crispy fingerling potatoes and roast carrots, the bernaise style sauce was equally tasty. We've tried the Bistro in Chelan which we love, but this meal was equally special and the value was terrific - each entree $20 or less. We're excited to see what other things they produce. Don't be fooled by the sign - this is a first rate kitchen. The red wine pairings were solid (less a fan of the whites), but come here for the food! read more

Love the wine and food! This was our last winery spot before heading to dinner and they held us over snack-wise and wine-wise! We ordered the 2020 Riesling and a herb focaccia bread to share. It was a perfect pairing even though they recommended to pair it with a different wine. The Riesling itself was light and tasted okay. The herb focaccia, the bread was thick and soft. Packed with olive oil and garlic. Some things to note, you have the option of sitting rooftop, inside, or outside up front. There is a dinner menu with small eats and entreés. Wine selection from what i remember had red and white wines available. Overall, we will come back again. Loved the view up on the rooftop. Would love to try a different white wine. read more

I have been coming to Sigillo for years, my family has a timeshare in Chelan for years. We go every year & enjoy the food & the bubbles (which WAS our favorite wine). We rented an Airbnb for my Bachelorette party just one house down from their venue. It was late & I didn't have a reservation so they asked me to sit at a 4 top (which was fine) while I was waiting for the rest of my girlfriends. They gave me water & a menu, while I was checking out the menu the waitress asked me to move because other customers needed the table i was at. Every time I drive into Chelan I always say I want to go Sigillo Cellars and we finally went and I'm so happy we did! I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about their wines. I wish I got his name but when we were leaving, he was busy helping others. The tasting room itself is in the beautifully restored Lakeside School Building on the south shore of Lake Chelan. The Creamy burrata is accompanied by cherry tomato, strawberry, blueberry, balsamic reduction, and chive. A burst of flavors! The Satay Skewers were a group favorite! We decided to get a healthy choice which was the massaged kale salad. We really enjoyed this spot! We found the wine very tasty, the food was delicious and the view was great! We sat on the roof top which they had well covered with off center umbrellas so you could easily still enjoy your company. The staff were very accommodating and had good food recommendations. The combos in the food were delicious. In addition, they had a little basket off to the side that had sunscreen, but spray, and wine stain remover! Sigillo is in what was once an old school house. The restoration was done really well with plenty of indoor seating and outdoor seating! They have a very large selection of wine so something for everyone. The wine itself isn't made or from Chelan but very good! Their other tasting room is in Snoqualmie just east of Seattle. Love that they are dog friendly too (even for brunch)! We also stopped by for their (new) Sunday brunch, and just wanted to call out how delicious everything was! Our outdoor patio table had a red umbrella so the pictures have a red tint. Smaller portions, so be aware of that. But this was definitely quality over quantity and we highly recommend! Who would'be thought you can find an amazing burger at a winery?! I ordered the Sigillo pub burger and that was one of the best burgers I've had! The burger came out a perfect medium and was super juicy. The short rib as a topping on the burger made it taste great as well. Definitely a must to try this burger! read more

I'm not sure what I was expecting before I walked in but I was a little blown away at the detail in the decoration and furnishings, especially upstairs on the deck with the outdoor furniture, quality and heavy duty umbrellas, the view, etc. Inside they had different rooms that can be used for large gatherings. One room had a stage and I'm guessing that could be used for live music or possibly even some small theatre (Just a thought on the theatre). This venue was an old school and they remodeled it nicely. I was also impressed that there was not only Joni who was serving wine but a chef that was on site wearing his white chef coat. Classy! The food that came out looked appetizing and yummy. We tasted the whites on this visit. They all tasted a little similar so it was hard to differentiate one from the others. I think our favorite was the sparkling White. We had six in our party and made it clear we were here for my wife's birthday. The staff was fine, but the food from beginning to end was marginal. Little to no taste will marginal portions. The pasta had little flavor, and the steak was tough, and the flavor was missing. Just a marginal meal, I felt very much like a tourist spot with no care if you visited again. To top it all, zero recognition regarding my wife's birthday gave us the bill, and we were gone. Never again. Your chef truly needs to understand the flavors of food served. It is impossible to be amazing all the time. How a company responds when something goes wrong is what separates a great company from a good company. On a recent trip to Chelan we saw that Sigillo was close to where we were staying and the food looked good. There was a musician the night we were there. We love music, but wanted more of a social dinner. So we were seated in the Principle's Office. Music was loud enough we could still hear, but could also hear each other as we talked. The wine is incredible! Food was tasty too, however they forgot about one of our entrees, and one was significantly under cooked. Our server happened to also be the chef. Rather than throw his staff under the bus or make excuses, he apologized and without expectation, comped part of our meal. It was a super busy night and they were understaffed, yet the chef stayed cool and super friendly. I imagine on a less busy night they wouldn't have had the couple issues they had, but based upon how they handled the few mistakes they made, I would recommend this place to others. And definitely buy a bottle of the Cinsault! read more

We had the filet mignon with a custom chimichurri sauce served with smoked cauliflower mash and veggies. My wife had the rock cod. The tasting room is small but not too small, and is nicely finished. Not my favorite wines in Chelan, but they are still nice and worth tasting. They have a great patio and are kid/pet friendly. Stopped in yesterday to sample some of chef Steve's menu and decided to focus on the smaller plates. The mini hot dogs were fantastic paying homage to the classic coney island and visiting newer ideas like the Seattle dog. The chicken sliders were a sampling of a caprese, classic chicken and teriyaki chicken with pineapple and cooked to perfection. The Mediterranean flat bread had all the flavor of Greece in pizza form. The nachos were amazing and the chef was kind enough to modify them for an 11 year old palate, leaving off the jalapeños and onion. Wonderful lunch and we will return!!! Well done! read more
