Mellisoni came highly recommended to me and I was excited to try it! My friend and I got tastings and were surprised to hear that they consisted of 7 wines! So generous. I found it odd that they wanted us to pay for the tasting before we got service- it's awkward to tip before you even get anything and honestly made us not buy bottles at the end because we didn't want to go back inside to make another transaction. My friend and I found a nice spot with a view to enjoy our tasting. The chairs are nice and have little wine glass holders! Our server brought us out one taste at a time and we liked the pacing. The wines were delicious and we were so happy with the tasting! While the view is nice, it's completely obstructed by power lines, ruining its instagram-ability in my opinion. It's also pretty family friendly and there were some loud games of corn hole happening and some other chaos. We didn't mind, but might not come on a day where we were trying to relax. This is a wonderful location if you are going to do wine tasting in Chelan. I have been in this location twice and service is always great and friendly and very knowledgeable about the different wine options and flavors. Seating options are always outside with a lovely view. We finished off our tasting day here and it was a perfectly cozy afternoon on a rainy Chelan day. While they're still doing only outdoor seating, they had comfortable chairs and blankets on their covered patio and overhead heaters to keep us warm. We ordered a couple of tastings which came with a complimentary glass. We sampled 4 wines with the bubbles being our favorite but the rose was also good. While I'm usually a red gal, none of these ones made my favorite list, but that's just preference. Staff was nice and helpful and kept our glasses filled as we enjoyed the afternoon. We still managed to sit outside. We had a reservation. For this one, we went with tastings plus bottles since there were 12 + of us in our group. Our lawn chairs were socially distance and we had a nice view. It was busy! But never too crowded for space. We had several bottles shared. Reds being my favorites! But they also had a very nice white: Cab-Savg: yes! Malbec: good. Best friends ( they have a wine name best friend!), Forte Rosso, Chardonnay, Merlot to name a few. The staff was very funny as well the older gentlemen who served us. It was refreshing and contagious his upbeat, cheerful and super funny energy! My partner and I were looking around for wineries to visit and came across Mellisoni Vinyards. We booked reservations as many wineries in the area require reservations or get too busy for walk-ins. The overall experience started out a little rocky but ended on a very high note. Once the the tasting room folks realized that we were not just one of those couples in it for a quick tasting but actually interested in the wines and it's origin the service turned outstanding. In addition the interaction with owner Donna was the absolute highlight of our experience at Mellisoni Vinyards, which ultimately resulted in us joining the wine club. Taking in consideration the location of the tasting room, staff and owner as well as the selection of great tasting wines, this is by far the best Vinyard in the lake Chelan area. My cousins and I just happened to Yelp this place and saw that it was nearby. It said we needed reservations to do a tasting but we decided just to go anyway and see if maybe they'll let us do it anyway without reservations...and they did!! You walk up and the view is amazing. My primary reasons for coming were to see the view and because you get to keep the glass if you do a tasting! Unfortunately, it was cold and rainy so the lawn chairs weren't set up in the grass. It was also annoying that the power lines were in the way, but what can you do. For $15 we tried a set list of 6 pours. The gentleman who assisted us was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wines were pretty good, but we did not purchase any bottles as they were outside of my personal price point given that I rarely drink wine at home. The $15 fee does not seem to be waived with a bottle purchase, since we had to pay before starting the tasting. read more

I had scoped out the website and reviews before going to Mellisoni. Their prices online seemed incredibly reasonable and they had great reviews so my group decided this was a winery we had to visit. Upon arriving my party of 3 felt uncomfortable. We were expected to pay for our tasting upfront (before we were even seated). This is not a normality for Chelan wineries. We were also expected to tip. As someone who works in the wine industry I felt this was robbing their employees of potential tips as most customers tip based off of their experiences. Our server was sweet and friendly. She was enthusiastic about wines and Chelan in general. Based off the price for the tasting I expected to be blown away by the wines. I also expected an organized and welcoming tasting room versus a discombobulated space. I felt that the exorbitant price was a reflection of the cost of the location versus the quality of the wines. The wines were unimpressive and lacked complexity. I have never seen a winery include their glass pour price online in the same place as the bottle price without distinguishing that the $18 is a glass pour and the $60 is the bottle purchase price. It's also unusual for wineries to not waive a tasting fee for potential buyers. The model of waiving a tasting fee with one or two bottle purchases entices customers to buy wines. By not waiving a tasting fee for a bottle purchase it racks up the price for their customers. If you were to do two tastings and buy their least expensive bottle you would be dropping at least $95 (for two tastings and one bottle of white wine). Dropping this kind of money on wine is not unusual if the wine is worth the price. I would not go back or recommend Mellisoni based on their wines alone. read more

Such a great time here at Mellisoni Vineyards! As we walked up they were putting the grapes through this cool machine that sorted out the stems. We walked in and did the wine tasting of 6 great wines! Our server was so sweet and told us about all of them. With the wine tasting you get to keep the wine glasses which is super cool! They have an incredible view so we went outside on the grass and sat in the chairs and just sipped our wine! Up a steep hill you'll find a tasting room in the clouds. This place is 15$ a taste and comes with the glass. It's a bit pricier than the other winieries we visited in Chelan but it's still a better deal than those closer to the big city. They had a large out door grass lawn with a beautiful view of the horizon and the lake. It was a little chilly as the sun started to set but we borrowed some blankets and stayed out. Besides the inside was literally a fruit fly orgy. The wine flight consisted of 6 wines. We had to bring our glasses back inside to get them filled every time which was kind of a nuisance but the wines had character and the live music is always a huge bonus. Mellisoni was a fun trip! We went with some family visiting us from TX, and wanted to show us what a good quality winery was. We headed over to Mellisoni keen to try out a new location and came away with a mixed bag. The Good: - The venue is going to be fantastic. They seem to still be finishing things up, the upstairs is under construction and the downstairs seems to be not quite finished either, with construction materials hither and thither. - The wines were pretty good. Probably a 4*. The pours however weren't outstanding, and were quite inconsistent with some of us getting almost double the person next to us and such. The Bad: - Tasting is $15 per person! Ouch. I have not seen any other winery in Chelan, WA charge that much, and I've been to close to a dozen. Free to $10 is the standard across the board, but here they up the anti, and with little to add value to their product. Sure they give you a wine glass to take home, but I don't really want one, I have matching glasses so these throw things off? - The owners (I think?) were working the night we went, and the gentlemen was very chatty, including coming and sitting at our table for 15 mins + wanting to show us tricks and all sorts. He wasn't able to read us enough to know that we really just wanted time the four of us. We didn't have much time together in the first place, and what time we did have, we didn't need to spend with him also. All that to say - go check it out, just don't expect that you are getting the premium Chelan product because of the premium price tag. We stopped into Mellisoni last weekend after driving into town and seeing the building from the road, thinking if nothing else, the view would be great! We were right- the view of the lake is fantastic, but it pales in comparison to the wine. The tasting offered 4 incredible wines- the best white I've ever had (the 3 Bastards), and the house's merlot, syrah, and cabernet sauvignon. All 3 of the reds were equally outstanding. The atmosphere of the winery is extremely welcoming and cozy as well, with a fireplace inside and blankets to use during the cold Chelan winters, and a fire outside with corn hole to play as well! The Cellar Master, Gustavo, was an excellent host, as was the rest of the staff! We will absolutely be coming back every time we're in the area. You don't wanna miss this place!! read more

Our son and new wife used Mellisoni as the venue for their wedding. It is a small space (about 45 people total), but gorgeous! The event wound up being classy and fun! Rob and Donna (owners) did backflips ensuring the event was memorable and went off as planned! We visited Mellisoni because a friend's coworker recommended it, and I was SO glad we did! The view is gorgeous and there's ample lawn space. A tasting is $15 and you get to keep the glass (they'll even give you a fresh clean one if you want). You can buy additional glasses, as well, if you want to have a set. The wine was quite good, especially the 45 Degrees and the Chardonnay (the 3 Bastards was way too sweet for me), but it's expensive. The bottles I liked ranged from $45-$50, which is generally more than I spend on wine. That said, the people were so nice and we really enjoyed our tasting here. read more

After reading reviews I was very excited to try this winery. The views are beautiful and the Adirondack chairs are a nice touch. The man who greeted us and helped us order was rather rude and impatient which was disappointing for this high end of a winery. I cannot remember the name but it was short; maybe 3 letters. The prices here are higher so may not be so friendly to the average vacationer. A tasting is 20 but that does include 6 wines (which is a lot for most wineries). The stopper top on the bottles during the tasting is a bit disappointing and make the sample rather small and impossible to allow someone else to try a sip of your tasting. Overall the wines were quite good. Not my personal taste so much but definitely yummy. I enjoyed the forte Rossa and chardonnay best. The owners live at the property which I found inviting. We were so happy to have been brought to this gem while on a wine tour on our girls 40th birthday trip this past weekend that we told the bus driver we were good just chillin here for the afternoon no need to go to the last winery on our list. Right when we arrived we couldn't believe the beautiful lawn with yard games Adirondack chairs and amazing views of the lake. Rob was amazing. We told him we like white wine, so he set up a bar outside for us and chose some bottles to open and pour for us.
