I never thought in a million years if be shopping at Old Navy. But recently I have to admit I do now. I mean how could I not. The kids selection is great. Before most all of the merchandise was of questionable material and value. But now as the years went by they are up to date with fashion and quality. The prices are so cheap. They have a huge sale/clearance section for both men, women and children for dirt cheap. I bought my daughter a cute dress for 3.99 on clearance. You got to be kidding me, right! I was amazed. Also for all those who are military they give you 10% your entire purchase always. Their discounts and sales are ridiculously cheap and always going on. They also always get new shipment every week. As you can tell I'm always there checking it out because once new stuff come in all sizes I need always disappear. Old navy is located at Ala Moana mall on the very bottom floor next to Forever 21 near the food court. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They also pass out balloons for the kids. I found some fantastic deals at this Old Navy in the Ala Moana shopping center. Their clearance rack is large and has all sorts of great clothing. I found shirts, shorts and pants in my size (e.g. medium, 29-31 waist) at a fantastic price. Shirts were as low as $3.50 and pants were as low as $3.99 and $5. I'm talking Old Navy jeans and pants that would normally cost 5 to 10 times as much here. It would also cost me about 2 or 3 times more to buy a lesser quality product at another store. I have been here several times and twice I tried on a bunch of clothing in the fitting room. It was clean and nice and the people working there were very friendly. The girl at the cash register pulled a black medium pair of shorts from under the register and asked if I wanted them and I bought them. They were inexpensive and they fit me perfectly. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely return to this Old Navy. They have great deals and high quality clothes. read more

The new Old Navy is getting better especially the new fitting rooms. There's a lot of new mirrors that you can see the back, sides and the front at the same times. On a wknd, this place can be a zoo. However, I appreciate that the store is warehouse huge which provides variety in color/cut/style/size for basic types of clothing. For example, if you're looking for swim wear they have an entire wall committed to bikinis/tankinis/1-piece suits with several displays that offer more fabrics to choose from on the floor. Another plus is that the sales/clearance section is also gynormous and often kept tidy and organized by color and size. read more

For some reason this Old navy (at Ala Moana Mall) is my favorite. Whenever I am in hawaii I visit this chain store. Because hawaii is always hot you can find summer clothes here year round. Let me start off this review by saying I like Old Navy. Unfortunately my experience was a bad one today. I have been looking for a pair of jean shorts for a long time. I was glad to find a pair that fit well and was 50% off today only. At least that's what the sign read where the shorts were displayed. After picking out a few more items with my daughter, we wait in the long line to pay for our items. When we get to the register I notice that the discount wasn't applied to the shorts. I brought it to the attention of Jariah the cashier ringing us up. She coldly said that the 50% only applied to long jeans. I promptly explain to her that the sign did not make it clear. She tells me that there are sale signs all over the place and it should be clear what's on sale. I told her to take the shorts off the charge. I go back to the rack where I got the shorts and the sign reads "50% today only". It does not state what items are on sale. I was trying to find a manager to speak with but was unsuccessful. Upon exiting I tell the staff member about my disappointment and the unclear signage. She was apologetic. My hope is that this review will catch the eye of someone at Old Navy that will consider looking into the signage that is displayed so that another customer will not run into the same issue I did. read more

Old Navy always has decent stuff at reasonable prices. Always browsing to see what's on sale and I always find excellent bargans. I'm a big fan of their khakis and cargos. Today they had a sale on backpacks and hoodies. Not to mention the sales in the huge clearance section. The floor may be a little chaotic, but the staff is willing to help you with anything you need. So I love Old Navy normally but this last visit pissed me off. Okay so I don't normally read the signs in the beginning of the store... I mean honestly, I like to look at clothes and since I wasn't looking at clothes for me (more my husband and baby... which actually turned out to be I mostly bought clothes for me... go figure!), I just roamed on in and didn't think anything of it. We first got to the men's section which is always quite bare compared to the ladies' but that's to be expected. We didn't find much there so we roamed the random clearance aisles. Then headed over to the baby section. By this point, I picked up like three or four things for me and nothing for the husband. We found a few cute baby things but I wasn't sure of the price. I then saw one of the multiple signs in the store that says kids shop free! I was intrigued and thought there's gotta be a catch. I read it over a few times and so did the husband... it said buy one get one free of equal or lesser value. I was like hrmm, maybe we'll get something for our baby for free! Score, right? Okay so we even pick a few more things up for my niece and nephew to go with my pieces... in case we don't make the equal or lesser value thing. Get to the register and they look up my card info... obviously you have to use your Old Navy, Gap, or BR card which I do have two of the three. No problem there. So when we ring everything up, we notice our kids' stuff doesn't come out to be "free." Even the cashier is confused... so he calls the manager (by this time, there's a line building because he doesn't know what to do and I obviously am confused because I read the sign). The manager is like, oh you only boughht adult sale/clearance stuff, that doesn't apply. OMG. NONE of your signs read that... only the ONE SIGN at the entrance which I didn't bother reading. That pissed me off so I took out all my baby and children clothing and just got my own. But honestly, PUT THAT ON YOUR SIGNS... ALL OF THEM. That could have easily saved me time from looking through kids' stuff and when we got rung up, there wouldn't have been a line. Needless to say, I was irked and so was my easy going husband. We don't like getting duped by signage and we actually read them... but for them not to put on the signs all across the store annoyed me. It's not that hard... does not apply to sales/clearance stuff! GAH. Old Navy is alright the other times if you don't mind the disarray of clothes everywhere. read more

I feel like this store always has way more selection than the Waikele outlet, however at times it looks like a hurricane hit. Anyways, I came to use my $10 off $25 super cash and they happened to be having a great summer sale as well. Super cute tanks and other clearance at less than $5. This store is normally one of my favorite stores. Up until now, I have always been very satisfied with their products and customer service. So, you can imagine my surprise and annoyance when, while shopping during the holiday extended hours, which were indicated on their website, we arrived 45 minutes before indicated closing time and found the doors locked. We called the store and talked to a couple of the employees who seemed a little rude towards us, and got someone to agree to open the doors. By the time we rushed down the escalators and back to the doors, we waited for 15 minutes (30 minutes till indicated closing time) before calling again. We spoke to another employee who, not very kindly explained that they had already closed their registers and told us that we didn't get down the escalators quickly enough and to come back the next day. One of my favorite places to shop at Ala Moana. I like browsing through the clearance racks. That section can be a bit chaotic, especially during the weekends so finding something nice takes a lot of time and patience. I wish the employees are more knowledgeable of their stocks, products and sizes. The lines at the cashiers can get pretty long and it moves slow, so I always make sure I get all that I want before falling in line. read more

Worse experience ever tonight. Over 30 people in line and 4 cashiers, another added later. Then this Old Navy person came over and told us in line that we were blocking the walking aisles...and the end of the line would have to move now. I loudly asked her if they had more cashier, and her response was, "well we are trying our best." WRONG ANSWER TO PEOPLE HOLDING YOUR MERCANDISE FOR 30 MINUTES WANTING TO CHECK OUT! If I did not really want the stuff in my hands I would put it on the rack and left. Then this person started smiling, like it was not her problem. Poorly trained, bad manager not solving problems with paying customers and even worse no common sense. When I got to cashier her first line was, did you find what you needed, so she got an earful too with a short comment about this being the last time I will spend a penny in this store. I would think people willing to pay for merchandise should be a top priority....not tonight. I will not spend another penny in this store. Bad karma. read more

The store looks really good since it's redo. The rating is because one of the employees clearly was unhappy that the customers had lined up in an area that they weren't supposed to. So she loudly told everyone to move and then mumbled under her breath "so I can walk here." She ended up at a register and (ironically) looked un-Happy. read more

The Ala Moana location is currently undergoing some renovations. The center of the store closest to the checkout registers are walled off due to the construction work. The prices are pretty good at this time I'm guessing due to the construction work??? Managed to find a deal on a dry fit type hoodie for under 20 bucks. Did not need one but that night I was there it was rather cold for Hawaii standards so I bought it since the price was hard for me to pass. I would have bought more items but I was only in the area to catch a performance that was being held at the center stage at Ala Moana, and old Navy was near where I parked. There is always parking in the area near Old Navy so if you don't want to hunt too much for parking that's a good area to find some parking. It's a bit out of the way from the rest of the mall but hey your there to checkout the stores so you're going to have to walk anyways. Sorry, I got side tracked. The service was quick and they had a number of cashiers to process the checkouts. The store layout was in transition so can't really knock them for it but the layout was easy to figure out anyways. So the bottom line: great prices, the quality is as good as most clothing stores, the store is clean and there are a lot of employees on the floor to assist you. I didn't need any so I can't honestly say how the service level was. My cashier was quick and I was out of there. A good chunk of my closet is from Old Navy, and although I appreciate the selection at the Ala Moana branch, I do feel that the customer service is lacking. I've worked retail and I get the issues, but it always feels rushed or the workers are absolutely unconcerned about the customers needs. Sometimes it's just better to figure things out on your own then ask an associate. This branch is better for selection, but the customer service needs just much help as the disorganized sections, especially the clearance area. read more

We were all about to leave through the back and the jerk guy at the door sends all of us through the front even after we kindly told him our cars were parked on Longs side. I wanted to say thanks & recognize wonderful customer service. I was in there a week ago. I hadn't been in there for at least 4 years as I now have a mortgage & curb my spending. As I passed thru saw several items I loved. As I was paying for them my Old Navy card was declined! Apparently the account was closed (thanks for telling me before hand Old Navy Corporate). Bummer I won't get the 30% off..but the sales girl asked someone & he said go ahead & give her the discount even though I was using another Visa card. Went back in today as I applied for ON card on line was approved & printed the temp card like I was instructed..DECLINED again. Oh no...but the cashier again gave me the discount as if I was using my ON card. Got home & now have the card in my paws & hopefully won't run into any more trouble. But thank you so much for the understanding employees. Everyone seemed so happy & was very friendly. I will return, esp since Sears is gone. The only humbug thing about ON is that the clothing sizes vary so much..the same size, like a womens 4 can be bigger or smaller...does not seem to be standard..don't know if it is the makers in India or what but I always have to try on several of the same size to get the fit right. read more
