I usually love Old Navy but this location gives me anxiety. It's very jam packed with apparel and sizes can be missing at times. Also because it's so busy this store is a mess. I try not to add it on but the customer that comes in after me makes it worse. Omfg. I love their Rockstar skinny jeans. Sometimes they go on sale for $20. If you wear fat sizes go right away because they'll always be missing when you go lol. Their sale rack gives me anxiety and sometimes I don't even want to go through it. Great sales, great merchandise at great prices! Only thing is there's always a line and not enough salespeople. There are only 2 Old Navys on the island so I guess that's why there's always a crowd. Plus they always have some kind of sale going on and the prices are pretty cheap too. To me, it's well worth it to wait in line for the deals. They have a ton of clothing to choose from for the whole family. Be warned, small sizes do sell fast at this location. Also try things on since sometimes their sizes run big. Love the new layout! Bright bright with lights. Easy to navigate. The bathrooms and the fitting rooms. Are much much cleaner and brighter than ten years ago gloomy lighting effects. The registers/ side kiosk payment stations make it easier for shopping on busy afternoons. Like I said this is the NEW and IMPROVED OLD NAVY! Old Navy is my go-to store for simple and basic tops in different colors and patterns. I love that there's always something I want and it's usually on sale. I also LOVE their fitness clothing. 3-stars because I bought 7 things the other night and as I was walking out the door, the security thing beeped. I stopped and handed it to the worker who was close by. He looked through my items and at my receipt, and told me I was good to go. 2 days later, as I go through my items to remove the tags, I found a top with the security tag on it. So now I have to wait until my next day off to go have them remove it. read more

A little turned off by the service I received in the fitting room area.. The lady escorting customers into a room was so unapproachable and just not happy or in a good mood at all. Earlier, I asked another sales associate how many items we could try on (limit is 10 items), since I had 14 items. She said it was fine since I was just A LITTLE over the limit. When I walked to the fitting room, the lady escorting customers looked so disappointed, and gave me no choice but to split the items I wanted to try on.. kind of forcing me to leave my room to grab the second batch of clothes to try on. I've noticed that there are less fitting rooms now compared to before (looks almost like the Waikele location). It was so cramped with other customers just leaving their carts around, BLOCKING THE WAY in the fitting room waiting area!! Black Friday is going to be interesting lol... I came to shop on a Sunday afternoon and all the rooms were completely full. Another con about the changes was how they no longer have the board where they write your name and number of items you're trying on. I think it would've been better to keep it that way so the associates know if someone is still occupying the fitting room. The escorting lady almost unlocked my door while I was still trying on clothes just because I didn't answer a second later when she knocked on my door. Embarrassing. All the registers are now in the center of the store instead of near the entrance/exit doors. No long lines when I went. Found so many cute items at a great price.. Palm tree tank top for $7??? Old Navy has great discounted items. I found a pair of fashionable shoes which were only $14.00, and they are very comfortable. I bought a cute summer dress which was also $14.00. And a very stylish scarf for 30% off and I got it for $9.00. I got a whole entire outfit, the dress, the scarf and shoes for only $40.00! They offer cheap items with additional off clearance rack. It's annoying and burdens my shop experience when racks and displays are unorganized and sloppy. It makes it unappealing to even look to see if anything good is available, so it is unworth it! Don't get me started with the dressing room wait line. It looks like it is Christmas season while waiting time this time was 22 minutes. I feel that's kind of excessive. To meet customer satisfaction, please consider creating more rooms to try on clothing or find another effective process to move line along faster. Plus, it's hard to distinguish who are the employees and who are the random customers. Seriously, if help is needed... it's not wise to have staff blend in with the shoppers. It would be embarrassing if I ask a peer customer for assistance in error. I definitely don't intend to offend anyone, but I can see it happening since everyone looks like ordinary shoppers. I wonder how long Old Navy will survive in the mall given these problematic issues??? I love Old Navy because of their clothes and of course, the prices they come at. You really can't be mad at that. However, I'm writing this review because of the customer service at this store, especially with the cashiers. I came here just to pick up a few plain t-shirts with my boyfriend and we stood in line at their checkout area for a good 15 minutes because there were a limited number of employees who were working. I did not mind waiting because I get it, sometimes, establishments are short-staffed so it was not a big deal, up until one of the girls who were working the check-out stand on the left of their check-out line with the 'card only' transactions were purposely calling everyone else behind my boyfriend and me! We were next in line to be served but she kept approaching the people RIGHT BEHIND US to help them out. I know I'm short but I'm DEFINITELY not invisible (-: I was definitely upset and I just couldn't wait to get out of there. I went to Old Navy today and was looking for 2 item it took 1 Hour finally got it. So I was running late to for nxt appt. I ask the cashier to hold it and she said that would be fine came back 1 hour later it was gone. An associate MGR but what she said was today they do not put holds and I could not believed it. I tried to look for it around the store I couldn't find it what a freakin waste of my time however I did see some items in the cabinet that was on hold. Old Navy slippers bring people together! It's true--Old Navy had their annual $1 slipper sale two days ago and people near and far, young and old, were grabbing slippers left and right. There was no pushing or jabbing from the crowd (thank goodness!) but I grabbed one of the last pairs of red slippers and I am pretty sure there were at least three other people who wouldn't have minded "persuading" me to "accidentally" drop them...or maybe that was just my imagination! Old Navy has become my go to spot for certain clothing items over the years. What I have definitely noticed over the years is the huge difference Old Navy Store to Old Navy store, some places you walk out of feeling like you just shopped at a second hand store, and other times you walk out quite satisfied with your shopping experience. Thankfully this Old Navy is always a pleasant shopping experience. Despite the ongoing renovations at Ala Moana, this store is relatively easy to find. For people like myself who have the sense of direction of a blind goat, a little trick I learned was to go into the Forever 21 on the second floor in the Ewa Wing, and then ride their escalator down and boom, Old Navy is just a stroll to the right. To get back to the main area of the mall without wandering aimlessly, I repeat the same process back through Forever 21. The staff at Old Navy is extremely pleasant. You're always greeted at the door, and when someone sees your pillaging a pile looking for your size, guaranteed someone is going to come help you with a smile on their face. Another nice touch is that sales associates check up on you while you're browsing the store in the genuine, not in the "hey I bet you're going to steal something way"...because lets admit it, we've all had that person follow us around the store and wonder wtf we were doing to give off the impression we wanted to go to jail. So kudos for customer service. This store also carries a huge selection of clothing and sizes. I appreciate that I'm able to get jeans and comfy clothing and also grab some button downs for work without breaking the bank. They also are typically running some type sale, and the folks running the register make sure the lines move quickly and efficiently. They also offer discounts for military, as well as discounts that coincide with your Old Navy card if you have one. My only true complaint about the store is that I'm pretty sure it has no air conditioning, but that just motivates me to shop faster and likely prevents me from spending more money. read more

Ive been coming to this Old Navy location for at least 5 years, as an independent shopper. I signed up for their awesome email discounts! I have lots of little ones in my family, and whenever an occasion comes up for one of them and jump in the car and come here! They have the cutest clothes for toddlers and the prices are unbeatable btw! I bought $70 worh of clothes and shoes for only about $35 because of all the coupons i get in my email! The staff there are really nice and are always asking if I need help! I hardly come here for me, but when I do I love to get me tanks, and a few jeans. and once in a while they have cute accesories. Not impressed by this location's customer service. I was in there for more than an hour and a half and no one came up to me to ask if I needed assistance. I was just trying to get a few stuff for my family since they don't have an Old Navy back home. My dad is a credit card holder and I was on call with him too to ask what my family needed. When I was ready to checkout I had asked if I could do a credit card lookup since I did not have my dad's physical card with me and the cashier asked for my ID, I then told her that the card was not mine and asked if I could just input my dad's information for him (I have already done this a few months ago at this same location so I thought everything would be fine). The cashier told me that this was not allowed and proceeded to scan out my items without asking me if I still wanted to purchase. I asked my dad on the phone if I should proceed with the transaction and he said no so I told the cashier that I was not going to take the items (which I shopped for almost 2 hours for) and she just nodded her head and didn't even say sorry even though I already looked irritated. I understand that not everything can be done for customers because I work in retail but I at least expected a decent apology. It was an overall bad experience read more

Looking for the super secret entry to old navy? Walk to the old sears, turn left, and go down the stairs to find Old Navy. This location is pretty huge, with very obvious sections for men, women, children, and activewear. The dressing rooms are large and the people working there are very attentive to your needs in the dressing rooms. Whenever I come to Ala Moana, I always stop at Old Navy! I will start off with the cons.. There's a bunch of construction/renovations going on so the outside part of the store is either closed off or you have to walk in a fume filled parking lot without much ventilation. I can honestly say out of all the times that I've been there, not one employee has ever asked if I needed help. I know they're not mind readers, but if they ask everyone else around me if they need help, I'd hope for the same kind of treatment. Now the pros! They are always packed with something on clearance/sale. I love getting my active wear from here! Whenever I'm there it's not really organized. Not my favorite Old Navy... I much prefer the Waikele location. This Old Navy is much larger than the Waikele store but it's much more disorganized. I always enter from the escalators next to Sears. They have your average Old Navy apparel: women's clothes, gym attire, pajamas, shoes, mens clothes, children's clothes/shoes, and other small bags. The clothing here is very casual and the quality isn't the best but it gets the job done. I usually frequent Old Navy for gym attire or t shirts to chill in at home. The cotton is super soft and best of all... everything is pretty CHEAP! You can get plain v neck or scoop t shirts for $5 when on sale and henleys go for $5-$8 which is cheap also. I always pick up a few outfits for my nieces while I'm here because the clothes are cheap as well. The fitting rooms are fairly clean and although there is usually a line it moves fairly quickly. Staff are okay. I think the staff at the Waikele location are much more friendly and sociable. The check out lines are ALWAYS long. ALWAYS. They do move pretty quickly though. The clearance section can have great finds but it's a hassle to look through and is very disorganized. Folded clothing is generally messed up into a big pile while makes it unappealing. A lot more messy and disorganized here. If you're willing to hunt... good luck, as the prices are probably worth it in the end. read more

I was almost about to post the information below before the Manager called me (after I emailed the customer service complaint email). I really appreciate his turn around time to make me feel like i wasn't this crazy up set pregnant woman. Anyways, he apologized on the behalf of the crazy woman that made the remark and said he'd work with his team to provide people with better customer service. Either way, you can read my incident below that almost made me cry. lol. Over all, I love Old navy and just like Emi wrote, the kid section is awesome. It's low priced and stylish and a majority of the time, the items are even more discounted. I also love the pet items! If it weren't for its easy accessibility I wouldn't come here. I was in the maternity section which was shocking small compared to the last time I was there. (Friday-returned Monday. ) So I asked the worker if they redid the section because the maternity section is missing. Before I could even finish my damn sentence, she interrupts me and say whatever is out is out. We don't back stock, we don't carry extra. I said, that's not my question. I just wanted to know I'd they moved some of the maternity section? She then tells me, maternity isn't that big for old navy and I should just get a bigger item because the smalls won't fit me. I even purchased the exact distressed jeans she wore. Jennie was my checkout person and like Brisa - great customer service. I don't really shop over here so I don't know why I am reviewing this place. But I do go through this place a lot as a short cut to go from one side of the mall to the other via the back entrance (by Sears) and front entrance of the store. From my many observations and trips, the place seems to have many apparel and clothing for men, women, and kids. They also seem to have a ton of bargains and sales on all the stuff. The models mannequins are pretty cool. They sport all the latest gear that Old Navy has. The store is pretty big and spacious. Everytime I go through the store, it's always most of the time hecka poppin' with customers. Maybe one day I should actually take the time to look around. Don't really go into Old Navy too often unless we're looking for really really cheap stuff. Back on the mainland this was the joint to come to in winter time looking for some inexpensive fleece pullovers, but obviously that's not the case here in Hawaii. It's crazy in here too. The woman's side more so than the men's. It's like a hurricane hit half the store. Then again men just really grab and go, while the ladies like to pick and browse. The quality is more on the lower/value brand end of the fashion spectrum, but mostly everyone knows this. The checkout lines move at a good clip, even when they're long. I never thought I would shop at a place like Old Navy. I always thought their clothes were too preppy and cheap. Over the past few years, I noticed their clothes quality got a little better while the prices stayed low. The gem of the store is actually in the clearance aisle where everything is like half off! I've scored some boxers for $2 each that are pretty good quality and also found a decent sherpa jacket for $15. The women's and men's clearance section are separated so make sure if you shop as a couple, to visit both sides. Lines here can get really long since they employ a supermarket like check out. I love Old Navy! There's always something on sale, lots of parking nearby (right outside the door) and friendly staff. I always find something to buy, even though it might not be what I initially came in looking for. Depending on the season, they have sweaters, slippers (don't call them flip-flops please), tank tops, shorts, and dresses. Watch the newspaper ads and emails from the store for what's going on sale. a lot of times they have 1 day sales for specific items. the jeans are reasonably priced and in lots of different styles. I walked out with 11 pieces of clothing for about $80. so awesome! can't wait to see what other deals I can get next time I visit. read more

What can go wrong for some pretty decent clothes. Cheap and if you have old navy card even better because you get points. For every $100 you spend you get $5 reward. When your at Ala Moana you may not know where old navy is at because of all the construction going on. However its located downstairs next to forever 21. The employees are nice and friendly. Shopping around today 6/29 there were some pretty nice stuff. I like the prices and I liked the styles, but what I didn't like was that when ever I had a question about something I couldn't find a sales associate. Its like finding Waldo. What also kinda bugged me was that as my friend and I were walking around the store, we kept seeing these signs that say "Every $25 you spend on a transaction you get $10 in Old Navy Cash"... well I did spend $25.12 so basically over $25. But the cashier didn't give us the $10 Old Navy Cash so we were wondering why. So we asked another cashier and he said that the SUBTOTAL has to be more then $25. With such a big company I would think they know how to word their signs better. There was one sign out side that had more fine print, but at that point i didn't feel like ready the fine print. Basically I would have rated this experience better, if I could find an associate when I really needed them AND If the employee at the register told me I just had to spend $1.01 more I would have gotten that $10.
