I was pleasantly surprised the bed linens looked fairly new, none of those old polyester motel linens, so grateful. I also appreciated the bottles of water when we arrived and the goodie bag when we checked out in the morning. With COVID, these now take the place of continental breakfast, I guess

The hotel makes you feel super welcome the moment you walk in. We stayed in a bay front room with the the most incredible sunsets and sunrises. There is also a restaurant on the grounds but make a reservation. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained and really clean and they offer complimentary teas and coffees in the lobby. My husband and our 2 young children (9 month old, 2.5 year old) stayed one night here, and have actually stayed here 2 other times in the past. Customer service was great; fast, courteous, and they easily accommodated our last minute request for a crib. The room itself and bathroom were meticulously clean and smelled fresh. Plenty of supplies. The room had a refrigerator, microwave and Keurig. We stayed in room 211, which is right next to the breakfast area. My husband went out to grab breakfast for our family. I stayed in the room with our kids. I commented to him that it didn't sound like there were many people at breakfast, he said it was full of people! I would have never guessed that being that the room was sound proofed great! Breakfast was basic, what you would normally expect at a Holiday Inn. It met our need just fine. Eggs, sausage, pancakes, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. Location of the hotel is convenient, it's right by a Walmart, some gas stations, and a Denny's. We plan to stay here again when we're in the area.

The area is very peaceful and feels safe, with beautiful ocean views and shopping within walking distance. The hotel is also very accessible, and I never had an issue finding parking--the parking lot always had plenty of spaces available. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Stephen at the front desk was great--welcoming, friendly, and professional. He really helped make me feel at home while being away from home. The breakfast was great as well and made my mornings easy while working. Thank you, Marriott, for making my two-week stay such a great experience. I would definitely stay here again! Checked in, and the guy asked me if I was parking a car. He gave me a little ticket even after taking my license plate, and said I had to walk back out to my car to put this on my car, or else my car would get towed. Seriously? Also, the parking lot was empty, but I got a lecture about how other people always want to park in this parking lot. Hard to imagine, but sure. Then, I was charging my car overnight at the charge point site in the parking lot, and it turns out this hotel also sets the charging rates at that station. So, guess what, they're 3 times the normal charging rate, and you pay $2 an hour for the convenience of charging. Oh, by the way, if your car is full (as mine was at 3:40 am), they start charging you an extra $4 an hour to sit there. I was supposed to go out at 4AM and move my car. Let's guess that this hotel makes a decent margin on this kind of predatory pricing. Got up in the morning to leave, and the elevator was broken. Just glad to get out of this place and never come back. And definitely not worth the $400 we paid to stay at this basic box.

They were spacious but the beds didn't feel that clean. The bathroom wasn't great. Water got everywhere because of how the shower door is designed and the bathroom is SO small. For reference, I am a petite 5'2" girl. If I stood next to the shower entrance, i couldn't even open the bathroom door. You have to get in the shower to open it, or literally be sitting on the toilet. The location to the beach was great though! And the fire pits were a nice touch. You just needed to bring your own lighter and s'mores materials if you plan on using it.

This. Place. SUCKS!…read more You can hear EVERYTHING. The engines and security beeps of every car in the parking lot. The obnoxious kids running and yelling endlessly up and down the hallway outside your door. The neighbor's TV and conversation and snoring in every room adjacent to your own. Every door opening and closing all night long.... And that's just OUTSIDE your room. Inside, the AC/fan is loud and the beds creak and groan every time you breathe. I barely slept might #1 and judging by the crowd of elephants that just entered the room next door, I won't get much more tonight as I'm typing this at 11 PM. The layout of the room is awful. As soon as someone opens the door, everyone inside is blasted by either the outdoor lights or the sun. The bathroom is ridiculously tiny. You can barely get inside to close the door to use the toilet. The shower curtain bar was falling out of the wall, drooping, and causing the curtain to continously slip to the middle of the bar, letting all the shower spray out onto the floor. And nevermind any soft or adjustable lighting--it's all harsh, bright light ricocheting across mirrors so no one can sleep if one person is up. The floor creaks when you walk and was filthy and gritty when we arrived. There's mildew and mold in most corners and all over the bathroom. The toilet seat is such flimsy, cheap plastic you can't sit on it without it sliding half of the toilet or bowing under you. Did I mention that you will hear all the screaming and crying children on either side of you all hours of the night? The parking lot was NEVER full, but the place still put everyone in consecutive rooms when clearly there were empty rooms that could have been used to space us all out to make buffers for noise since this place has zero soundproofing. The room as a whole was grimy and dirty. Stuff on the walls, paint peeling, bathroom and bathtub surfaces cracked, rusted, and moldy. Absolutely disgusting. The only positives I can cite are the blackout curtains (worked well) and that there was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The continental breakfast was okay, too. But if you actually want to sleep on your trip, don't stay here. This place clearly does not care one bit about helping you get a decent night's rest. Never. Ever. Again.
