A great brewery with straight forward beers. No miller lite here. Thank god. We came in on a Monday during our trip to St Aug. It was around 230 so completely ok for our two kids to be here. Ping pong and other games are available among othet things. Small outdoor area as well. We enjoyed the summer ale hop suds. Both yum! read more

Today's visit could be about returning for the Island Grove IPA greatness, or the newly tapped Imperial Stout awesomeness. That was certainly the original goal on this rainy but warm afternoon. But instead it was more about what it means to sit at a place like Old Coast and drink locally crafted beer. Sitting outside and sharing the first round with the guy who makes the beer separates this place and his beer from the corporate stuff. Is there an unknown when the next new beer is tapped? Sure. Is there consistency between batches of previous runs? Usually, but not always. That usually implies improvement. It's always worth the taste. In the end, patronizing the local guy, the small business owner, has always been my thing. I'm not the Olive Garden guy for Italian, the Chi-Chi's guy for Mexican, or the Red Lobster guy for seafood. Likewise, I'll do my beer drinking at Old Coast. It just makes sense. read more

Conveniently located right across the bridge of lions, these guys took a "nothing" building and turned it into an awesome place to grab a beer (or three). I've tried most of their brews but my favorite continues to be the Kookaburra Brown Ale. The brewery has outdoor seating as well as a variety of games to allow you to feel right at home, and in true brewery fashion, dogs are welcome! Whether you're from out of town and looking to grab a flight, or you're local and just need a good, cold beer, this is one I always recommend. They also have a neat beer board, where you can purchase a beer for someone else that they may come in and redeem at their leisure. read more

Fun, small brewery in an easy location; connected to Osprey Tacos so you can order your food and have it brought over next door while you drink, or vice versa. Pets are allowed, plus there's ping pong, tabletop shuffleboard, giant jenga, fooseball. Good assortment of beer styles; I prefer darker beers and I love the Boulevard Brown, it's got the perfect combination of flavors without being overpowering. If you're unfamiliar, I recommend trying a flight: 4 4oz beers for $7, or you can get any beer as a 4oz sample. Ordering is easy, staff is friendly and attentive. Good atmosphere. Great people. Beer is pretty on point but the selection could be better. Half the beers were IPAs. There's a taco shop next door so I nice area to grab lunch and some drinks. There a pung pong table and big jenga. It's not loud. Music is low so you can have a good conversation. Overall not a bad stop read more

Best local brewery in St Augustine, friendly staff, and tasty tacos next door. I have been to a few really good micro breweries in Florida, and Old Coast is in my top two. Their beer is true to style and delicious. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and on the hustle. What more could you ask for? How about a taco shop next door that is just as tasty! Nice little place with great beer. They have 5 of their own beers, all are very good. Very friendly staff and very helpful. I'm not sure what the building used to be but they did a nice job remodeling it. The layout is very spacious, the restrooms are very clean. They have a nice outdoor area too. This is just a great microbrewery to go to in St Augustine. You can tell that the owner pours their heart into the craft beer they make. Wish I found this place the minute I arrived, although they would probably be sick and tired of seeing me every night They had a very nice selection of beers to choose from and the decor was absolutely lovely! Nice selection of good quality merchandise to purchase as well. It's child friendly, which is nice and they have a ping pong and foosball table for some good ole entertainment. A cool little local brewery just outside the main city center. As you walk into Old Coast Ales (probably after just having a taco next door) you are greeted with a great smell of cedar from all the natural wood of the decor around the tasting room. The staff was really friendly and let us try a few things before making our choices. They have a great selection of just about everything for such a small space. Including some really good darker beers which you don't always find. We ended up hanging out, having a few beers, playing some foosball, and enjoying the outdoor seating watching the cars drive by. read more

My husband and I camped at St. Augustine State Park for one night. We googled the closest brewery to our campsite. Old Coast Ales came right up. Saw that they were rated 5 stars and had to check it out. We got a beer sampler of everything they had. Beer was super tasty and the establishment had a great vibe! I highly recommend if you are in the St. Augustine area! (Also, Osprey Tacos is right next door and has really great tacos!!!) read more

The beers were great! We went right after they opened for the day so it wasn't crowded. But I could see this brewery getting crowded quickly. We were able to sit outside which was very appreciated. Staff wore masks and had hand sanitizer available. They also sanitized the pens in use. Great job!!! read more

Nestled next door to Osprey Tacos, this spot provides excellent brews, good vibes, and a great time. Have one of their many specialty IPAs or go on the lighter side with Burt's Summer Ale. And don't miss trying the Kombucha! Bring a friend and play foosball or ping pong! Order an amazing Osprey Taco to enjoy with your beer! The vibes of this place are so chill. It's a gorgeous place with even friendlier beertenders, and it's my new favorite spot to kick back for a couple of hours. I'm a local who has always supported local business but am tired of businesses who don't support locals. Here on a Saturday night because my sister is in town and we have e young teens between us. Came because they have games for the kids, not the same-ole brews they peddle. The place was not that busy but games were up because they 'had a busy day' and wouldn't let us use them. Next time I'll go to Mellow Mushroom and I order Stella. Won't be back. read more

Very cool place to grab a beer! They have several different options and all are made there. I love their porter, it's amazing! The inside is really cool, if you can't get a seat at the bar, there is several other seats and some games to keep you busy, staff is friendly and cool! Definitely give it a try if you are looking for some good local craft beer! read more

Loved it! Great little brewery in St. Augustine. Fantastic microbrewery with excellent beers, knowledgeable staff and a fun vibe. The tasting room is small, but is pretty awesome. They have a ping pong table and an industrial feel to it. My wife and I shared a flight and were happy with all 4 choices. 2 IPA's, a brown ale and a porter. You guys, this place has the simplest decor & all about no clutter. I'm into that. But even more than that, their beer is crafted to delicious perfection. I recommend getting a flight to try the different flavors, but if my life depended on it, I'd get the "No apostrophe." (red ale.) But, if you have a friend that doesn't love to drink beer, they even have 2 yummy flavors of Kamboocha. Strawberry & lavender. Simple & classy. What more could you ask for? It's beer:30 all day everyday here! And wonderful beverages to match! Although it's not apparent from street view passing by(people were blocking the sign) this little gem is really neat. With shuffleboard game in one room to music cascading in another it was very peaceful and relaxing. The beers are great and the conversation is even better. The owners/bartenders started as home brewers and are passionate about what they do. The brewery tasting area is small, maybe 8-10 stools at a bar. There are also a few outside tables which we took advantage of. Server at the bar was super nice and helpful. Everyone there was quite friendly. Maybe because it's so small, you feel like a little community right away. All the brews are great. I think they rotate what they serve so just venture in and if you're not sure, just ask. We also got a beer to go and they did a great job with that! Worth a trip and a fun outing!

From eclectic art to FREE classic arcade games, to a pool table and a vinyl record shop, this brewery is PACKED with things to do! Heck, they even have an awesome food truck right outside and the food was amazing! Hubs and I shared fried tomatoes, fish nuggets, and a salmon sammich that came with tortilla chips. Very yummy food that paired well with our flight of beers! I had to abstain that day but I got to enjoy a can of non-alcoholic beer. Hubby enjoyed the flight all to himself! I love pickles so I reeeeally wanted to try the Datil Tickle My Pickle and he said it's spicy and tangy. Sounds like something I'd enjoy soooo I'll have to try it next time when I'm able to drink alcohol again. Bartenders were really friendly and attentive, despite how busy it was on a Sunday. Kids seem to enjoy the place too. If we were locals, we'd be regulars. Oh well! At least we bought merch to remember them by. Til' next time, Hornski!!!

The server kindly requested we wait while she buses/cleans the table. It seemed like that server (Heather, I think?) was the busser, server, and bartender for the whole restaurant. I saw only one other person working there, which I believe was the cook. With a packed restaurant, Heather was still able to provide us good service. Unfortunately, the place needs a deep cleaning as exhibited by the insanely dusty chandelier pictured. My burger was pretty good, but the queso con carne was essentially super-greasy chili with cheese on top. There are plenty of other bars/restaurants to choose from, this one wasn't it for me.
