I ended up vomiting about six times in a row, and it was basically everything I had just eaten. I felt significantly better once the sushi was out of my stomach. I've eaten sushi plenty of times before and have never had a reaction like this. I obviously can't say for certain what caused it, but considering the timing and how suddenly I became sick after this meal, I felt it was important to share my experience. Unfortunately, after tonight, I would not feel comfortable eating here again.

We ordered an $8 oyster shooter, most come with either hot sake or cold sake, theirs was room temperature, a little roe, tiny oyster in a very tiny one shot glass. It took 30 minutes before it was served. We also ordered sea salt edamane, stuffed jalapeños, sunomono salad. The cucumber salad was very good, the edamane looked like they had been frozen then defrosted and served, and the stuffed jalapeños tasted off, we ate them, 4 total. My wife ordered a spider roll, it had a strong gamy taste like a lower grade fish that was used. My wife tried two pieces, swallowed the first and spit the second into her napkin, to her it was awful. I ordered the Shashimi Regular, that came with a small salad and miso soup, they were both good, I received the shashimi last, long after the spider roll; it was interesting, but the fish was more of a class C instead of a class A. Their prices were class A and the fish didn't meet that expectation. It was an $84.50 meal but didn't meet the expectations of a class A sushi meal. The waitress was very professional and asked us about the meal, we were honest and she took the spider roll off the bill. She offered an other roll but by then my wife was done. My wife declined the offer. The restaurant's ambiance was modern and very nice. I would not recommend eating here to my friends.

The ambiance is beautiful, especially the massive chandelier in the center of the room. I ordered the 12-piece sashimi dish ($31), and the salmon was the standout; it was glistening, juicy, and incredibly fresh. I also appreciated that the miso soup was included; it had a perfect consistency and wasn't overly salty. However, the side salad was a bit of a letdown, it was quite bland and barely had dressing. That said, the service was so good that I'll definitely be back.

Our server greeted us right away and was very sweet and attentive. You could tell she was still in training, but everything went smoothly. The only small thing I would suggest is having more napkins at the table, since we were only given one per plate and ended up needing a few more during the meal. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. Overall, we had a great experience at Azayaka Japanese Fusion. The food was delicious, the service was warm, and we would definitely come back to try more dishes.

Service 0/5, Ambience 5/5, Food 4/5…read more We came on a Thursday evening around 5 pm on 6/4 and it wasn't busy. First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? I don't know if it's intentional and the server wanted to pocket the discount as her tip, but it did not feel fair. We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. Horrible service.

My husband ordered the teriyaki bento box, my daughter ordered the spicy salmon roll, and I ordered the spicy tuna. We also ordered Miso soups for our appetizers. We were also given Korean glass noodles, on the house to taste test. Everything was delicious! Generous portions as well as reasonably priced. I love the creamy sesame salad dressing . The tempura was light and not greasy at all. I liked that they served the teriyaki sauce separately so you can control how much sauce is on the chicken based on your preference. Our rolls were served with a little spicy mayo and I believe eel sauce on the side of the plate ( nice touch! My daughter and I are sauce people lol) The Korean glass noodles were nicely mixed with veggies and small beef slices. Yummy!! I would order it if it were permanent on the menu :) Great experience and fabulous people!

We both really liked the pepper fin. We also enjoyed our rolls. My only critique is that the rolls were rolled very loosely. The pieces feel apart as soon as they were separated. I would definitely come back. There is a beautiful mural along the back wall that really is a nice piece of the restaurant. It's small, but so delicious!

Today we came to celebrate my son's birthday with a party of seven, and unfortunately the service was noticeably worse than any of our previous visits. It was slow to get our order taken, refills were rarely offered, and overall our server just seemed inattentive and uninterested. I had already decided I was going to leave a smaller tip because of the service, but when the bill arrived, I noticed that gratuity is automatically added for parties of six or more. That honestly made the experience even more frustrating. I really dislike automatic-gratuity policies like this because there's no longer much incentive for the server to provide great service, the tip is guaranteed regardless. Maybe that wasn't the reason for the poor service today, but it certainly felt that way. Great food as always, but for a birthday dinner with a larger party, the service was really disappointing.

The ambiance was quiet, clean, and welcoming. The staff was courteous, friendly, and attentive, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food itself did not meet our expectations. I would rate it about a 4/10. I've had much better and more authentic ramen and sushi elsewhere. The meat in my ramen had an unpleasant taste that seemed old, and both the noodles and broth lacked flavor. I'm not sure whether this was due to the quality of the ingredients or a lack of attention to preparation, but the overall experience was disappointing. We were a party of five, and honestly, no one had a "wow" moment with their meal. The general consensus at the table was that the food simply wasn't very enjoyable. Several of us did not finish our meals because we weren't satisfied with the taste. That said, I wanted to give this restaurant a fair chance because we've passed by it so many times and didn't want to judge it without trying it ourselves. I have noticed that it often seems fairly empty, and after this visit, I can better understand why. I genuinely wish this establishment the best and hope they can improve the quality of their food. With stronger flavors and more consistent quality, I believe it could provide a much more positive and enjoyable experience in the future.
