I see 2 locations for this noodle shop. I went to the one on abel in the same plaza as the Beijing restaurant. This spot used to be a hotpot spot. Always thought they are extension of the Beijing spot. I have seen this place did the refresh for a while but was never able to catch it during the afternoon as it closes at 2pm. Looks like they changed it to 2:30 now. Finally got a chance to visit today. I guess I know why they close at 2pm. It was pretty much just me there after 2. In any case, I order the house special hot and sour noodle soup. It is as expected. This was one of my favorite noodles at QQ noodle in Milpitas square before they shut down. Surprisingly it tastes exactly like the QQ noodle I had... Total was 17+2 extra noodle +tax = 21 +2tip ==23 I really would like to keep it at $20 for lunch. Perhaps I should not tip since this is china style QR code ordering and go up to the counter to pay system... Just saw a tip jar and I decided to drop a couple dollars I'm just glad I found a replacement for QQ noodles as this is one of my favorite noodles, this house special. read more

A new OK Noodle location my coworkers and I tried out. The parking can get crowded in the stripmall supporting all the other businesses here. The ambience is nice and interesting with big ventilation above each table similar to a KBBQ place yet could not feel anything being sucked up. Maybe, only just my hot air. LOL. Upon closer observation, there seems to be a dial to be able to "heat" something up like a family hot pot dish. Several booth tables with 3 larger round tables for 8+ people to sit at. One unisex restroom only. Hot Spicy Beef Stew Noodle Soup - the soup came out piping hot and was mildly spicy, yet the clear broth lacked flavor. The beef chunks were tender but did not have any tendon or beef rough flank. The noodles were silky and chewy. They were the star. House Special Wonton - flavorful meaty wontons but still in the clear broth with chili. Overall, 3.5 stars. I'd come back to try some of their other dishes. Support your local business. read more

The Ok noodle was legit just "Ok" to me and my friends. Service was solid and they got these cool chop sticks, where u can replace the tips. They also got the food out quite fast. In terms of the food, the noodles were solid themselves, but the broth lacked flavor and was quite underwhelming. We also got a few sides, like soup dumplings and this beef side. The hand-pulled noodles here are well-made, but I genuinely hate the menu and ordering system here; it really detracts from a great dining experience. You have to order with a QR code and the menu online has tiny low-resolution photos with no descriptions of the dishes. From Ok Noodle's other Yelp review page -- which I'm not sure why the two pages wouldn't be consolidated if they're for the same businesses after an address change, many of the dishes pictured are not available. I wanted a specific bowl of thick flat, pappardelle-style dry noodles ("D2. Chili - Oil Noodles") and couldn't find anything that matched that on the menu. The closest item was "C5. Garlic Sauce Pork". Megan C. in another review mentions they have different noodles available here, but there is no way to specify what type of noodle you want when you place your order online. I ultimately went with "C1. Big Plate Lamb Noodle $21.50", which was a tomato based dish with wide noodles. The bowl arrived on a shallow silver plate, and not in a bowl like the majority of other noodle dishes on the menu. The bone-in lamb pieces were tender, but most pieces had large amounts of fat to them, and the silverskin was not removed. Some folks won't mind this detail, but it does lead to a more chewy piece of meat. The noodles had a nice bouncy texture to them and reminded me of fresh made udon. My wife ordered "T4. Hot Spicy Fish Noodle Soup $16.99" and I was pretty disappointed by the bowl of noodles. The broth had a spice level of 0 out of 10, and the broth itself was so bland, it tasted almost like it was just noodle water. The noodles were thin and round -- not my favorite, but like the wide noodles, they had a bouncy texture to them. Overall, I am pretty unhappy with my dining experience because of the QR website ordering. It's an incredibly frustrating experience seeing other reviewers and patrons order items that are not pictured and/or available online when you're unable to do so yourself. For this reason alone, Ok Noodle is not on my list of places I'd check out again until they figure out how to improve the ordering process. read more

Ok Noodle has moved to a new location on Abel St as of October 1st and with this move, they've somehow gotten even better! My husband (then boyfriend) and I have been going to Ok Noodle since their original Newark location, and we used to go almost every Thursday. When they first moved to Milpitas (McCarthy Ranch), the flavors were sometimes a hit or miss, but I'm so happy to say they're fully back and even more flavorful than before. My order isn't on the menu, but you can order directly with the owner/server. I get the lamb noodle, but replace the lamb with chicken instead. The noodle I request is the thin flat noodle. This dish will always be my go to because the noodles are so perfectly chewy, slurpable, and each noodle has so much character because it's hand pulled. Everything tasted rich, consistent, and comforting -- just like how we remembered it. The new space feels clean and welcoming too. A little tip: come early on weekends, since it starts getting busy around 6pm. So glad to see Ok Noodle thriving again! We will definitely be back! read more

FOOD // (names of dishes are verbatim to their menu) Big plate lamb noodle - filled with multi colored peppers and potatoes - thick noodle; very qq and chewy - tomato based sauce; very light but refreshing - lamb itself was not too dry and some pieces were still attached to the bone Beef with small cakes - VERY VERY TINY - not your typical beef roll you find in Chinese restaurants, it's seriously a very tiny crispy outer layer with a tiny bit of thinly sliced stewed beef and raw iceberg lettuce - very dry but the crunch of the outer layer is refreshing (to everything that is ordered) House special sour spicy noodle - it's mildly tolerable spicy and mildly sour/tart - they used thin round noodles; was very qq and chewy...some parts did look and taste raw - meat was very dry - cubed potatoes and carrots were nearly raw TIPS // - do not be afraid to ask if they have daily specials (as is listed below)... they also had some special sautéed veggies which we opted out of - their menu is tricky but I guess authentic to the culture in China because for example, when it says "add +$2 for extra noodle" this means a string of noodle NOT a handful of noodle like you see in Japanese ramen establishments - they offer 3 types of noodles: round, thin flat, and thick flat Stewed lamb spine ($30!!!) - it's salty but delicious - it's ridiculously expensive because it felt like we were literally helping them clean up their trash (gnawing on bones with minimal meat, spinal cord, and tendon...) Ruberger - they gave us a ruberger on the house with no stuffing (thank you!) - it is very very very dry and dense... kind of like eating cardboard - imagine a block of flour and water steamed and then lightly fried... AMBIENCE // - lots of old and returning customers - often love to sip tea and have a conversation (since the restaurant isn't too loud and bustling like dim sum restaurants) SERVICE // - very attentive - very sweet - you pay by pad LOCATION // - in the very small plaza on South Abel in Milpitas - uncomplicated private parking lot... often one will find a spot whether that's far or near - next to R&B tea, Biryani Junction, etc Will I be coming back? I always come here at least once or twice a month. Recommend the chili oil noodles (wide noodles) then add some of the chili oil and vinegar to it that is on the dining table. Always hits the spot! read more

Hardly leave reviews but this place is a staple! I used to go to their old location all the time and this is a nice upgrade. Same food with a few more new options I believe. Their chili oil noodle with wide noodle, cucumber salad, and la piang are my go-to's! Staff are always really nice too read more
