Was recommended from a friend to come to this car shop, and they did not disappoint. I needed to get my brakes done and they did a free brake inspection. I thought both the rear and front brakes were needed to be replaced, but they were honest and genuine and said my rear brakes were good and it was just my front pads that needed to be replaced. A shady shop could easily have said both brakes were bad and needed to be replaced just to get my money, but this shop didn't. So I had called on Saturday at about 4 o'clock asking what time would the latest that they can do a oil change he mentioned if I get there by 5pm that they would be able to assist me. I got there at 4:50 and immediately as I pulled up, they started waving their hands around saying "No, no" so I rolled down the window and they said "we're closed" they don't close till 5 o'clock as per their online hours and what they told me over the phone. I mentioned that I had spoke to someone they told me that if I got there by 5pm they would help me and he said "no no no we're closed" First off very unprofessional. So then I proceeded to continue going on Sunday, and keep in mind the last time I had been to this specific place was almost 3 years ago. The only reason I went back to this place is because my original place was closed and I have to commute to work tomorrow by 7 AM. So I get there and no questions asked they do the oil change and use synthetic oil without asking me what it is or what kind of service I wanted. Usually they ask if you want regular or synthetic they didn't ask me and it was $88 for an oil change. Overall customer service is horrible here. Definitely will never return here. I came here to get my oil change and differential service done. I even brought my friend just to make sure they're doing everything right, and they didn't disappoint. I asked the workers if I can stay in front of the hood and watch them do the services and they didn't mind. We watched them replace the old oil filter with the new one, fill up the engine oil up to 6 quarts and saw them change the differential oil in the rear axle. I just moved to the area not too long ago and I was looking through yelp and discovered this place. Off the bat the manager Max was really friendly and nice. He told me for my Scion TC it'd be about 77$ for a full synthetic oil change and that's a fairly good price. I watched them do the oil change, as I made sure they did nothing shady and actually replaced my oil and changed my filter. That did just that, and I was really impressed with how fast they did it. Came here the other day, and this place has awesome service. Came in to get my brakes done and to get my differential oil changed, but they told me that my differential oil is still fine and I should be good for another few months. They did my brakes and rotor within 2 hours and I didn't hear any more squeaks. The fact that this shop was honest and genuine saying I didn't need my differential service done, goes wonders. Please DO NOT come here they are useless, lazy thief's. I brought my car in because my tire pressure keeps going down they checked my tire for any leaks and found nothing they told me it's normal in warm weather for tire pressure to go down. I told them it happens monthly and they said that's normal what a load of bs. Then I brought it in because the car was making a weird noice when accelerating they said they would charge 30 dollars for a diagnostic test found nothing and still charged me the amount. 3 useless "mechanics " and they couldn't find the issue please don't waste your time here. I stopped going to the other shop I use to go to because they inflated their prices way too high and they tried selling me stuff I didn't need. I was doing my research and this place has good reviews so I came here. The guys here were friendly, professional, and honest. I got an oil change and did my brakes and rotors done here. The entire process took about 2-3 hours and they even offered me water as well. I was allowed to watch what they were doing and they gave me brand new rotors cause I know other shops just resurface your rotors even though they say they give you "new" ones. I've been here to this place about 5 times now and I haven't looked back! The staff is very professional. They don't tell you excess services that needed to be done, but straight forwardly tell you what you need. If your transmission fluid is bad they show you your fluid in compared to brand new fluid. Since a week ago, my car would have trouble starting and it hasn't been like that before. I was uncomfortable to drive it long distance so I took in to this shop. They hooked it up to a device and they said my battery was really low. They also saw the sticker and they said it's been 5 years since the last time I changed my battery so they highly recommend changing it. While changing my batteries they checked everything else with my car such as my oil levels, my washer fluid, my air filters, the air in my tires and they said everything was still good. The manager also said I have a 3 year warranty on the battery so just come in any time before that and I get a free replacement and I would just pay to install it. I've been coming here for years, because nobody used to carry 0w-20 full synthetic oil at a decent price. I used to pull up and the younger Asian mechanic knew exactly what I wanted. I was in and out fast. Last week I show up and the younger Asian mechanic is not there. An older silver haired Asian man assures me that although it may look like there are a lot of cars in front of me I should not have to wait more than half an hour. I waited for over one hour. Oilmen has Shell brand full synthetic oil in bulk and I told this older gentleman that is exactly what I wanted. He brings back these expensive quart bottle oils (I think one was Castrol) and he says he highly recommends these oils. I don't have a race car, I don't drive in stop and go traffic, and I never drive in the desert. What is he trying to sell? I tell him bulk, bulk, bulk while I point at the 0w-20 nozzle hanging from the ceiling. Then he says I need a transmission flush. I tell him I do a full drain every 50k miles. I don't drop the pan and change only 2 1/2 quarts like the owners manual recommends. I found out how to change all the transmission oil by reading car forums. After the oil change he is ringing up the charges and asks me if I am sure I do not want the transmission flush. I just tell him I am ready to pay. That was it. I started doing research and found that Walmart carries 5 quarts of their Super Tech oil for under $15.00 and a Super Tech filter for my car for under $3.00. Read the reviews and comparisons Walmart Super Tech products are not bad at all. I'll be changing my own oil from now on. read more
