    This is literally me waiting in my car with the hood up while my oil was being changed.  I wasn't allowed to leave! :)

    After years of going to the dealer for oil changes, I decided to give Oil Changers in Sunnyvale on Homestead a try. I'm so glad I did! I was warmly greeted by manager Will upon my arrival. I've driven by this place hundreds of times and never saw a line, but of course, the day and time I choose to go, their maintenance man is there refilling their oil, so they shut down for about 45 minutes! Oh well, at least I was able to get some shopping done across the street at CVS while waiting. Finally the maintenance man was done so I came back, and rolled right into one of the service bays. They have 4 lanes so they can operate on several cars at once. But let me clarify - I rolled in WITH THEIR GUIDANCE. The service technician Luis helped direct me so I can drive and end up with my car on just the right spot for my car to be serviced. He was obviously experienced as he knew which side I should park on for my make of car. He then asked me to stay in the car while the servicing happened. I was going to help him open the tricky hood on my car, but he told me I wasn't allowed to get out of my car! Haha, I was almost a bad student! Anyways, the whole experience was great. It was nice to be waited on (heck, I almost felt like I should put my hands out and ask for a manicure!). Plus the team of Will and Luis was awesome - so polite and professional and patient, and Will was super funny, too! I think the whole service lasted no more than 20 minutes. At the end of the service, they chant what sounded like a mantra but it was their checklist to make sure that everything was running and checked as it should be. Luis also helped me (once I drove out of the service bay!) turn off the "Oil Maintenance Needed" light on my car. As for payment, I highly recommend you purchase the Service Card. For $119, you get 3 oil changes + 1 free, so that's 4 oil change services for $119 plus tax - what a deal! And the best part is, you can share the card with your family members! Just know that you have to pay extra if you want full synthetic oil vs. partial synthetic oil, or if your car is like mine and needs more oil than the standard 4-5 quarts. (I had to pay $20.50 more for my car.) I look forward to coming back for the next oil change in 3000 miles!

The process was pretty quick and the shop was very responsive and even though I did not elect to get additional work done, (I can do a lot of the regular maintenance stuff myself, really just wanted the diagnostic) I appreciated the constant updates on the work getting done, making it a very "stress-free" experience. Overall worth a visit as a first time customer and I'll be back for regular oil changes.

One of the new brake…read moresystem installed have had problems like constant grinding noise, reversely installed brake pad (yes i did not make this up) and brake pad that making clicking sound whenever I press brake for the 1st time after changing gear (this turns out to be the pad installed is a bit smaller in size and not tightly fitting into the system). I went back to the shop 3 times over the course of ~9 months, each time discovering some issues and replacing the pad/disk (this is where i felt good about the shop, everyone welcomed me back and did the diagnose and replacement for free). I end up relacing the two front pad/disk with another brand (zimmerman? that's what i heard) and resolved all issues. Maybe I just got unlucky, but I have to leave my honest and true experience which exhausts me over the last year (imagine every time you back out of your garage and hearing this "click" sound from your brake system, with a baby in a car. You natually worries about your safety).

As of today Sam (who I believe is in charge, not sure if he's the owner) has been the only contact with the shop, has had my car for twelve weeks now with nothing completed.he diagnosed the problem the first day, gave me a quote. I zelled him a deposit, enough for the part and the labor. Five weeks later he informed me that the part had arrived, it was installed but didn't fix the problem. He explained the part was poorly rebuilt and needed to be returned and we had to wait for the refund to order a different part. At this time he informed me that the shop would be closed to honor the lunar new year. This was week seven when they returned to work still waiting for the refund to show up. It's was week nine he let me know that he couldn't find the part we needed and he had used my deposit money to pay bills and dint have any left to buy the part. To continue with the repair he said I had to find the part and pay for it on top of the $2000 I'd already gave him. Week ten I found the part , paid for it. A week later the part vendor located in Germany canceled my purchase stating the war in Iran made it too expensive to ship the part" find one in your own country " he's said. So I found the part , paid again and the part arrived at the begining of week twelve. After having the part in hand and knowing I've been without a car for three months he says he'll see if he can get me scheduled at the end of the week which at best the repair will continue into week thirteen. I've asked when he actually had me scheduled for and why couldn't he schedule me sooner? This was Monday the same day as the part arrived. He didn't respond until Tuesday when he said he was working on it so I could have my car to drive on Wednesday. Wednesday I called to see how it went and he said he'll text me later with an update. It's now Thursday of that week , I asked what's up and his response was and is " for me to relax, he's working on it. Sam has been rude. He's ignored me, he's disregarded what i wanted done and did what he wanted to my car. He took money from inted for parts that he never paid for and spent it on himself or the shop bills . I then paid for the parts additionally. He wont produce any kind of invoice to keep track of spenderatures. I've requested several times . When I told him he no longer has any authorization to do any more work on my car. The next text he sent me said he was going to work on my car anyway. I told him I was picking up my car to have it ready to be towed elsewhere. I'm so mad I can't even think. To be continued

I took my BMW one morning to get brake pads and rotors changed. I had taken it to a few other places and all of them wanted me to change all the pads and rotors. Nasir was very honest and told me my rear brake pads and rotors only needed changing. He showed me the wear and tear and explained the process. I was so pleased that he took the time to actually assess my car instead of just putting on extra services. He then ordered the parts and was able to get the job done on the same day in about 1.5 hours. My car drives so much more smoothly and I can feel the difference in my rear brakes! I was so relieved and the process was SO fast! My husband took in his Civic Type R to get his fenders rolled. Nasir and Bilal did a great job with that whole process and he got his car back the same day. He also had his rear brake pads done and was pleased with the entire service. The prices are quite affordable and fair- and most importantly they only do what is necessary. There is also a Yelp deal going on right now too :) I highly recommend First Auto Tire & Wheel for all car needs. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Nasir and Bilal!

Recently, we were experiencing problem with our 2015 CRV we were getting Parasitic Battery Drain. We were so frustrated cause after a day without driving, the battery would loss all power and not able to start the car. Hubby brought to the Honda dealer and another autoshop and they didn't find the problem. Hubby suspected the car door as he walks close to the car, the car would auto unlock. We are sure is not like that. But the other places say is a feature. One of them had us replace the battery. Then the car would last a few more days, then during Winter again more than a day without driving, won't be able to start the car again. So, we brought to Al when their shop re-opened. Al first test the more Security system known for parasite leak for Honda's. It was not that. Then he started disconnecting different connection and one of the them is the Door unlock system. And that was it. The fix was almost 1K as need to get the part from Honda also. Al say we don't have to fix, but then cannot use fob and use key. Since the car has low mileage and we are still keep it for some time, we went ahead with the fix. The other great thing with Al is he did my smog test for my other car, a Honda Accord. That car recently changed car battery also and, a pure smog test shop charged me 70 and didn't pass me cause the car hasn't driven long enough. I had driven about 200 miles. He still charged me for the certificate price and said if I bring back, he'll need to charge me, but will do me a favor and charge me a smaller fee. That doesn't seat well. Since Al reopened, we just had him do the smog test as we have driven another 200 miles since. It was still not enough. So Al had us leave the car with him, his mechanic drove for us for the needed miles and we passed. Cheaper than the pure smog shop on El Camino, which is a rip off.

Cameron quickly came to my home to jump start it and Al found the problem shortly in the shop. They were diligent and thorough doing tests to make sure the problem get solved for good. They fixed it and replaced my broken AC panel at a very competitive price. Recently we took the car there again for a different issue. Al took the time to check and let me know that it's still under the car's lifetime warranty even though many years have passed, so we're getting it fixed by the dealer free of charge. Really wish I had known them sooner - I could have saved myself so much hassle getting the car jump started multiple times by AAA and wasting time with an incompetent auto shop who not only failed to find the problem but also tried to sell useless stuff as a solution. Cupertino Auto Care absolutely deserves this review. It's rare to have such great car repair experience. Really appreciate the incredible help from Cameron, what a kind and thoughtful gentleman! And Al of course - the excellent car doctor who diagnoses problems and fixes them like no other!

Huge shoutout to Tarnell Pollard, who goes above and beyond to make sure your vehicle is set up for long-term success. The man explains everything clearly, checks all the details, and somehow manages to do it all while looking exactly like T.I. I half expected him to tell my car to "live its best life" before sending me on my way. Also want to recognize Eric, Joseph, and Alex, who rounded out the rest of the team that day. Everyone worked together seamlessly, stayed positive, and made the whole experience quick, smooth, and honestly enjoyable--which is not something you usually say about an oil change.
