An extra star due to good communication and response time. brought in my car due to stalling, provided all the repair steps it already had with new replacement parts and sensors. Timed 45mins they took for diagnostic. Upon car pickup, technician says bad engine, can't be fixed, better to buy a car. I asked what tests and steps did you do for the results? He said there's smoke from the oil cap. Was hopefully for a diagnostic sheet of what steps were taken, tests performed, but the only comment on the form was "bad engine", felt like no attention to details nor the effort in providing good service read more

Had to replace coolant temperature sensor on my 2005 BMW. Mo quoted a reasonable price so I went. The job took much longer than expected. And it might be not a profitable project. I was waiting for the job to complete so I saw how the repair was performed. It's truly the BMW design is tricky. So I told mo it's ok for me to pay some more. He charged me a reasonable increase which I think probably barely covers his cost. It was late and I don't have ride home. Mo gave me a ride home and offered to pick me up from home to get the car. It was my first time going to Babylon Auto and I found them through Yelp. Excellent in communication from start to finish. I reached out as my vehicle had put out white smoke on a drive home from Pleasanton to San Jose. Moe (Babylon Auto) reached out to be within minutes with his business website . He then reached out to me at 7:00 p.m. and set up an appointment for the next day at 10:00 a.m. then I asked to make the appointment for 11:00 and then it was my fault as I could not make it tell noon because of business matters. We keep in contact in the morning and every time he said "No Problem". Very congenital and empathetic to my situation. Reached back to me within the half hour after I got into the shop and sent photo's to show me the problem. Kept in contact for the next couple of hours showing more photo's of what he found in diagnosing the problem. I felt I was in safe hands as step by step he kept me in the loop. All in all I picked up my vehicle and scheduled another appointment for an oil change and regular maintenance. The white smoke problem is a transmission leak that should be covered under warranty by a previous transmission mechanic. I was looking for a local shop to inspect the rattling I had been hearing for about 6months. I contacted Mo and he was super responsive, patient, answered every single question I had and was very transparent about cost. After inspection I was told it was my suspension which did cost a lot, but I needed the work done. Car was done in 2 days and Mo kept in contact with me the whole time. I picked up my car and within that week I noticed my steering wheel starting shaking when I broke hard from a higher speed. I am in utter disbelief. I dropped off my beloved BMW M3 to get a brake light error and some squealing near the engine checked out. When I came to pick it up the next day, I discovered a massive scratch on my hood. When I brought it to the owner's attention, he said he would cover the cost of the repair to make it right. So I took the car to a (reputable) body shop to see what my options were. They were generous enough to try polishing it out at no cost. Unfortunately the scratches were too deep and I was told my only option to completely get rid of the scratches was to repaint the whole hood. When I went back to Babylon Auto, the owner then offered to take my car to a nearby shop to get the scratches polished out. I asked him how that would help when I had literally just gotten back from a shop that had tried just that. He refused to pay for a paint job. When I explained to him how this was unfair to me as a customer to come in with a perfectly good hood and leave with a messed up one and that I'd be leaving an (honest) review of what transpired, he pointed at the sky and yelled at me something about being "unfair to him and unfair to God" for "threatening him". I came in with some minor issues and, not only did the issues not get fixed, I left with a jacked up hood. Beware. read more
