I visited OHSO for Sunday lunch with a couple of friends. We had horrible service. We waited over an hour to put our food order in. Our waiter said he would come back to fill our waters and never did, said he would bring sauces and never did, and ended up having us wait three hours by the time he brought the bill (after we asked him for the bill 30 mins prior). I actually have never experienced worse service in my life. I gave it 2 stars because the food was decent. read more

We arrived after 9. We sat at the bar area. We had three different people helping us. We finally got our food however since it was close to closing we were rushed. The staff literally cleaned up as we were trying to enjoy our meal. They did mention last call for bar service but I think they should have waited to start sweeping all around our area. Just made us feel like we were being rushed and they wanted to go home. I had the chicken salad. It was pretty good. read more

I went here to watch USA soccer vs Belgium. Only for USA to get smoked. Order a small order of fries and tenders. They never showed. However what was the floor general female equivalent of Wonder Woman made things right. I let her know that my food never came. Not only did she go back and have it made but comped the meal. And had a fresh meal made. This is customer service / service recovery. I've always had good experiences here but this has gained my confidence in this establishment. I never asked for it to be comped or even special treatment. She made it happen. Go here, drink here, eat here. Good people doing good things. read more

This has been our favorite restaurant for years. We really enjoy the patio. I have food allergies & love the gluten free menu. It's one of the few valley restaurants I can trust. We've almost always had amazing service & great food. The misters and fans really help keep the patio cooler during the summer months. Our favorite aspect of this restaurant was how dog friendly it was. We loved bringing a pooch or two & enjoyed seeing all of the other cute doggies. Unfortunately, we recently had a bad experience & had to leave. We are hesitant to go back as we're still very upset about what happened. We were so excited to bring 2 of our small rescue dogs & enjoy a nice dinner. The hostess seated us at a table & told us our dogs need to be on the ground. We had not met her previously. Our dogs are very small & calmly sit next to us on the bench. We never let them on the table, nor do they eat from the table. They can't easily reach the table because of their size. We've been there many times with them. They're very well-behaved and love to come with us. One of our pups is barely 7 pounds and can fit inside my purse. He was rescued from a hoarding house & is generally very anxious. We love getting him out to help him "socialize." He is attached to me. We were very surprised when the hostess told us they need to stay on the ground the entire time. My husband & I were trying to figure out what we were going to do since we know our tiniest dog would not do well on the ground. While we were trying to make a decision, the hostess hovered over our table. She would not leave until they were on the ground. It was a very uncomfortable experience. We were very embarrassed as other people were watching us. I was on the verge of tears. Our dogs are on strict allergy diets so they cannot consume crumbs off the ground. There were food crumbs under our table from previous customers. We were also worried our tiny dog would get stepped on or find a way to get stuck. The patio was very busy at the time. We ended up leaving and went somewhere else where we felt more welcome with our dogs. We love the O.H.S.O menu & have had the nicest servers over the years. In the past, the staff has always been kind and welcoming to us and our dogs. We are very bummed because this was truly our favorite place in the valley to take our pups. read more

Had a reservation for 18 people on a Friday night for a birthday and we all had a great time. The server was great and attentive. We shared some appetizers and all of them were good. As for the entrees, all the food was tasty as well. I personally got the short rib tacos. Although tasty, the portion size was small. Felt more like an appetizer. I love how dog friendly this place is and we had a great time playing ping pong outside! read more

Friday night = solid choice. They had live music with actual good bands (not the awkward "my cousin's garage band" situation), and the space is so big you could absolutely hide from humanity if you wanted. I like talking to people, though, and everyone I ran into was ridiculously nice. The beers? Chef's kiss. I went rogue and told the servers to just surprise me with their favorites. Honestly, I have no clue what I drank all night... but I know one of them tasted like a fruit salad (blueberry cherry) and I'm still thinking about it. I'm usually a Banquet girl, and the bartender kicked things off with "the closest thing we've got," and from there I was just along for the ride. 10/10 would repeat that adventure. Now, let's talk about the kids. Yes... kids. In a brewery. Look, I get it, they've got food, it's technically a restaurant too, yadda yadda. But by the time the clock hits 10 p.m. and I'm a couple beers deep, I can't promise your child won't witness me dancing like it's 2004. Personally, I think small humans should be in bed by then. No judgment, just... consider yourselves warned. All that said, I had a blast. Great beer, good music, kind people. Bring the whole family, apparently. I'll definitely be back... but maybe I'll pregame a babysitter next time. read more

Stopped by today 8/23 for Brunch .. Christian was helping us at the bar . First off this restaurant/ open patio platform/ brewery has so many amazing fun activities, great place for family & friends . Tried out a cocktail & some carne asada style fries with their queso sauce . Let's say , it was the perfect amount of crisp on the fries and the carve asada meat had great flavor & super tender mixed with a salsa verde & cotijo cheese crumble . It was delicious!! Super clean location .. pet friendly and since it was hotter than a volcanos, they did have water misters through out to keep you cool . I'd love to come bck when they have a movie night . Amazing food , great ambiance and location, ask for Christian he's phenomenal and attentive!!! read more

I like coming here because you can bring your furry babes. Went for brunch past Sunday and had the OG breakfast bowl with skirt steak and a side of the gravy. It was very flavorful and that gravy OMG was the best gravy ever! It was definitely the best meal I've had here and for sure getting a huge bowl of that delish gravy next time. Hubby ordered the avocado toast with garlic shrimp and said it was tasty. We both got free mimosas with our brunch. It was kinda watered down but hey it was free. Our friends also enjoyed their salads. It was very busy but service was very kind and attentive. My doggie also had a great time so win win! read more

Frequent spot we visit and know for spring training it's going to be busy. We brought my parents and our 3 year old. We got to OHSO around 3 and was told a 20-25 min wait, nbd. 330 rolls around and we checked in to see where we were at since a few parties had been sat but ours stayed at 2 parties ahead of us, we were quoted another 15-20 mins because the tables were reserved for later tables. Fast forward to 350ish and I checked in to see where we were at, I was quoted another 15-20 mins and the hostesses that were working were so rude and actually laughed when I walked away disappointed. We LOVE this place but have never been so disappointed in the service we received. Kristy was our server and she alone deserves 10/10 for service, appearance, and overall existence. I've worked In the industry and know things aren't always cookie cutter but honestly the hostess staff needs a reality check or a refresher on customer service. read more

What an atmosphere! From the inside bar that offers a horseshoe shape table setting, to the patio and the yard. It is a booming establishment filled with exceptional food for anyone's taste, brilliant happy hour deals for beer, cocktail and wine lovers, and great family/solo entertainment options for those looking for a good time. Despite being a booming brewery, the beer is not the only thing brining a smile to your face when you visit. So come enjoy an amazing pint from a brewery filled with AZ culture, staff that welcome you with open arms, and a cheers vibe for anyone who steps in ! read more

The Downtown Gilbert OHSO location is known for it's fun, spacious, and dog-friendly patio. It features games, a full bar, and a big screen all situated right behind the two-story brewery and restaurant. It's perfect for game days. We visited OHSO with my group of four one Saturday afternoon. The brewery was buzzing, especially in the outdoor area. Although some lawn chairs were stacked to the side, there were plenty available for use. We managed to find four open seats and got comfy. We saw lots of families with picnic blankets. We ordered a variety of drinks at the bar as well as a giant pretzel. The cocktails were good and the service was fast and friendly. The pretzel was amazing and came with three dipping sauces. Although it took a bit of time to arrive, it was understandable given the crowd that day. We had a wonderful experience and will certainly return! read more

Absolutely horrible for watching the World Cup. Drinks taking over 45 minutes to arrive. Food +1 hour. Not a vibe unless you like prisons. Lots of douchebags too. Try fibber magees instead for World Cup watching. read more

I've been here before and the food was ok, nothing to brag about so I didn't have high expectations. Arrived at 12:30. Got a table right away on the patio. I like the vibe and all the dogs. Took an hour to get our food. I ordered the pastrami with sweet potato fries. The sandwich had no sauerkraut on it. Our server asked if I wanted it remade or she could bring it on the side. I opted for the side. She came back to tell me they ran out of sauerkraut. Why the heck wasn't this communicated before they made my dish? No, they tried to pass off something I did not agree to. I would have ordered something else. She asked me if I wanted something else. I said no, just take it. I couldn't sit there another hour while they made me something else. My friends would have been finished long before my food arrived. I've never had a restaurant do that before. They always come back and say sorry, we are out of XYZ. Would you like something else. The 2 bites I had of my "pastrami" sandwich weren't even good. The sandwich was so dry, probably from the lack of kraut and the meat was tough and chewy. There was hardly any sauce on it. If you want good food, I wouldn't come here. read more

The best place in all of Gilbert that has a dog friendly patio. Plus, the dog park connected to the bar is an awesome place to meet new people, and let your dog sniff around and play with other pups. I spend my days off in the winter at this place, and it's absolutely amazing. read more

I have been to OHSO a few times and never really been a fan, I haven't found anything on the menu that made me want to come back. My friends wanted to go to OHSO yesterday evening which I wasn't super thrilled about but decided to give it another shot. We stood for a very long time prior to having a host come by to seat us. Once seated out waiter Braedon seemed like he had several tables and wasn't super attentive. We started off with the chips and guacamole which was pretty decent. I then ordered off the seasonal menu and went with the spicy vodka rigatoni and added chicken. The chicken was pretty lackluster and chewy, the noodles were overcooked but the sauce was really good. As I was eating I saw something in my pasta which I found to be a toothpick fully submerged in the sauce. We were trying to get the attention of our waiter who had not come by for some time and he didn't end up coming back until everyone else was finished with their food, I had stopped eating once I saw the toothpick. I did alert Braedon of the toothpick to which he replied "I have worked here for 2 years and have never seen that happen, sorry" and the proceeded to hand me my bill. Nothing additional offered or a possible discount. Overall our party was pretty disappointed in our experience last night. read more

I'm surprised I haven't tried OHSO yet but for a big friend mixed gathering from our fb group to in person meet n greet it was the perfect outdoor space for that! We took up about 5 tables all shaded with misters above us and right in front of the bar. They had some really good mixed tropical type drinks as well as a great brewery beer selection they make. It's dog friendly too so next time I'll be sure to Bring my little bestie! My only qualm was that the bar staff was not very friendly. We probably had 3 different bartenders at different times and all of us commented at one point in the evening about how low key rude or unhelpful vibe they put out. Super strange but other than bartenders the venue and drinks were great. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a small bite. It was very relaxing and easy going. We enjoyed the steak and fries, we should have gotten the cheese sauce on top, but it was still really good. This was my first time at OHSO for lunch and I ordered the pastrami. It was amazing. So tender and not fatty the sweet potato fries were really good. Been here two times in ten or so years. On our recent visit, I had the brisket burger under the handhelds menu. It was sloppy--had to eat it with a fork, arrived with a soggy bun and the brisket was way too fatty for my taste. The queso didn't mix well with the flavors of meat at all, and the strings were not a good texture. We also ordered a savory shrimp taco board which was lacking any sort of signature flavor that would make us seek it out again. The kids burger was fine, no complaints on that, but overall the food wasn't super impressive and the staff, although not rude, also didn't go out of their way to make the experience worthwhile, make us want to return anytime soon. read more

The food here is always delicious! I got a brisket skillet and my friend ordered fries. They were ridiculously fast with their food! Hot and yummy! The brisket came with over medium eggs, brisket pieces and fries with some type of sauce. Not a huge portion which was perfect! My only complaint would be the service and our drinks. Super dry and came off annoyed. We ordered bloody Mary's. After a few sips. I noticed the Bloody Mary mix was sitting on top of the bar and not chilled... like you could see the red mixture sticking to the plastic. As well as their jerky sticks not being covered. Neither of us finished our drinks. And noticed the guy beside us who had been there a while , not finish his either. I never got a refill on my water and we were not checked on until they visibly saw our cards out ready to go. I will for sure be back as the atmosphere and people around us were cool! Maybe just an off day for them at the bar. read more

Always a go to for us when we want a good burger and fries. The patio always serves up the best ambiance with sports, cold beers and friendly faces. The prices have gone up in the past few years which isn't ideal but worth it for the ranch! Haha read more

The food was mediocre, but the vibes were fun overall. They really need to fix the arcade machines, though--that was a letdown. I'd go again if someone invited me, but I wouldn't go out of my way. On the plus side, they've got a massive screen for watching games and a solid beer selection. The dog-friendly area is a cool touch too--it's a great spot to hang if you're bringing your pup along. It took awhile to get a table and it wasn't the fastest service but it was packed. read more

The service never disappoints! Great happy hour menu although if going at night on a weekend, be prepared the kitchen has a hard time keeping up with the park orders and table orders. Not a bad place to grab a Dinner bite. We used to go to the OHSO in Scottsdale, which I think I prefer to this location. However, everything was satisfactory. The interior was spacey, the staff were decently attentive (until we needed the check), and the food was pretty good. My Caesar Salad wasn't much for the price, but perhaps that's just a global problem nowadays. We'd come back if we were in the area, sure, why not. read more

Very Busy place on a Friday night! When you walked up to the hostess and they asked you if you have a reservation... I did not and but the wait for an inside table was about 25 mins, not bad. Came here on a recent visit to the area with my family and we had a wonderful visit! The patio is huge and the weather was mild so we hoped to sit outside but we were also dining with a 2 year old so we took first available which happened to be indoors. That being said, they had big windows facing the street and they were all open so we it was almost like we were outside! Our server was kind and accommodating of our toddler and even switched out our highchair for a booster seat when it became obvious the high chair was a tripping hazard. Service was a little slow but it was very busy and it was a Friday so that's not a complaint, just an observation. Food was good. The toddler enjoyed her first time eating mini corn dogs and her uncle finished them off what she didn't eat. Her meal had the option to come with fruit so we got that and she was happy with the selection. I ordered the steak frites and was a little surprised to see the steak on top of the fries upon arrival but it was still good. Wife ordered the shrimp tacos and they were SPICY! So be warned on that front. Would definitely visit again, just maybe a little earlier or on a week night to try to get a spot on the patio. read more

Would pass on this spot unless you know exactly what you want. Buffalo Chicken dip was pedestrian. Oh, OHSO... You make me oh so happy! First of all, cheers, Yelpers! To good times and more! Not being a stranger to this location but never having written a review here, I figured it was time to leave a review. What can I say? The brunch here is good and the drinks are great. Don't want beer? They also sell seltzers and mixed drinks. On this particular January Sunday, there was a football game playing and a handful of us wandered over after brunch nearby to catch the game. We went to the back section, where there were a multitude of picnic benches, chairs, and some heat lamps. There's also plenty of televisions and a giant screen for your viewing pleasure.
