OHSO Brewery, you are oh-so amazing and I am oh-so grateful that you have found a new home in Downtown Gilbert! For a grand opening event, my expectations were set a little lower since generally, 1) you don't know what to expect and how to staff accordingly, 2) the staff isn't generally very experienced and 3) there is usually a little disorganization that comes with a newer locations. Wrong! From the moment my friends and I arrived to the moment we left, as busy as it was, we were always checked on frequently, service was friendly and our food and drinks arrived with perfect timing - very impressive! For food, we just ordered four dishes and shared across the table: artichoke dip, brisket mac, steak and fries, and chicken and waffles (yes we went the complete opposite side of healthy). The artichoke dip was served with chips and flatbread and it was good but pretty sweet. They weren't joking on the sweet bacon relish. The brisket mac had to have been the table favorite and every flavor went so well together - so delicious! My stomach growls just thinking about it. Overall, we enjoyed it all and we can't wait to go back and visit. Now to the location - it's amazing! The whole front room is dedicated to a bar, but wait, there's more... There is another bar out in the back area and seating all the way around! The outside patio is awesome as well with many outdoor games. Overall, my group and I were very impressed. This has to be one of my favorite breweries because it has everything you want: awesome vibe, comfort, great food & beer, friendly staff and DOG FRIENDLY! I've never seen so many dogs, I wanted to leave just to get mine! I love it! Well done OHSO. read more

Great place to come for a popular sporting event where you expect a lot of people and a loud, rowdy place. Entertainment for kids and good beer (hence the 2 stars), but they lost my business on April 16, a slow Tuesday night. We brought some friends in who were visiting from Chicago to watch the Diamondbacks v Cubs game. We had talked up the outdoor space and ambiance in advance. When we came in, very slow, all TV's turned to the NBA playoff game. I asked a bartender if one TV could put on the baseball game so we could enjoy a few beers and the game with our Chicago friends. She said she had to ask her manager so she left and came back and said the manager told her it was decided at their pre-shift meeting that ALL TVs would show the basketball game, so no, she could not put the baseball game on. To me, this is customer service at its worst - clearly my money and business is not important to this place, so I get the message. My business will be taken elsewhere going forward. read more

Interesting selection of beers. I'm a fan of stout or IPAs and have tried two of their marshmallow IPAs: Insta-graham and Fluff Daddy (I could be making that last beer name up...it was a while ago when I had it haha). But I liked them both! Today I wanted stout but also wanted something lighter and ending up trying their House Blend, a coffee blonde. It was perfect! A light beer but tasted like coffee. If you're looking for something to share while drinking, I would recommend the Steak & Fries! read more

Christian (bartender) is amazing. Goes out of his way to offer additional services, is tentative, humorous, and polite.

I really wanted to like this place. I've been there probably close to a dozen times. It is an average at best. It is a great theme and designed for fun but the food is only ok and the service has always been below average read more

We go to OHSO PV and had a decent experience at the Gilbert location when they opened. However, today was terrible. First off, only go to the patio if you're ok eating soggy food out of to go containers. (And helping yourself to napkins, condiments, etc.) They should greet guests and explain this. We walked in... sat at a table...waited.... Moved..... decided to go to the patio (big mistake) and eat there. I asked the bar tender if we had to use to app for to go food or if he could take my order. He said he could. I paid up front and tipped 20%. He hands me a buzzer. When it's ready, I went back to the bar and learned the hard way how it's served. When I explained to someone inside I was disappointed, he just explained how it works. I said that's fine but someone should tell us that ahead of time. Just excuses and no apologies. We would have sat inside. (Literally 15 feet away at another patio and you get service and plates. Based on how he took my feedback , nothing is changing any time soon so I won't be back. read more

Great beer and great customer service! We had a very nice bartender who took the time to explain each type of beer and made conversation throughout the day. They also do fun events and have a great outdoor space. Will be coming back! read more

Great happy hour drinks. The jalapeno bizzness was delicious!! The food was also delicious. Small restaurant but cute place.

Whole we live in El Paso, TX, we have family that lives in Gilbert, so we've had the beer from here before (and a couple beer fridge stickers). I was super excited to pop in on Friday night for my first visit! We went to the back patio, which is super pet friendly, but not in an 'over-crowded dog park' kind of way. Plenty of TVs set up around the bar and a wide range of seating options to meet your needs. I had the 'Bob's Your Dunkel' from the tap and it was phenomenal. A house beer made with German malts, it looks as stout as a Guinness, but has that richness of a traditional Dunkelweizen. While we didn't order any food on this visit, the menu looked pretty robust...although I didn't see any wings listed if that's your thing. It's pretty clear that this place is a local favorite and it's easy to why. Definitely worth a visit, even it's just for a quick nightcap. read more

Awesome food choice and Spirits. Very relaxing atmosphere. Games and things to do. Service was Happy helpful. Live the place. Must stop if you in Gilbert read more

Cool layout, drinks are good, but let me tell you why I rate it 2 stars. I went tonight with some coworkers while visiting Az for work. Had a turkey "gobbler" burger, coworker had tacos. He liked his food. I ordered mine no tomatoes. I have a food allergy to them. I cut mine in half and see it loaded with tomato. No biggy, they took it back to fix it. (I kept the sweet potato fries, which were excellent). They returned with another, well not another, they gave me more fries ( yay!)... but returned me the same burger I cut in half, with peeled off the tomato. Which was a crap job because the juice and seeds were left. How do I know? Because I'm feeling it. Luckily I'm not anaphylaxis with it. Just extremely sick to my stomach. Really fucked up how they fix it (when I told them I'm allergic). If you have food allergies, I suggest someplace else. read more

My girlfriend and I went there after a night of drinking and had some of their late night food items. I had the french fries with a green chili pork sauce on top and it was outstanding! My girlfriend had some sort of vegetarian vegetarian sandwich and she said it was very good. I would like to go back though when I haven't been drinking and try out the rest of the food. read more

Finally an OHSO brewery closer to home! Great food, brew and environment! Came here on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite and a refreshing beer. We met family for dinner at 5 pm and didn't leave until 8 pm. This is because food took forever to come out, and we had to send a pretzel back. Who burns a soft pretzel?? Not only that, a family member ordered the Salmon BLT, and it came out burnt. I can't even believe the kitchen allowed this to go out! The waitress was very nice about everything and took things off our bill. But I would never return to this brewery! The wait was insane. It's too big of a place, and there is no control in the kitchen. read more

This is a brisket sandwich, fries, and a $10 OHSO Bloody Mary. The brisket was tough and stringy, the fries were basic, the bun was burned, and the OHSO Bloody Mary only had olives, lemon, and lime - Nothing like the description in the menu. The food here used to be pretty good, but I'm not sure I'll be back. What a disappointment. read more

We love OHSO's and visit quite frequently. Our server Melissa was the absolute BEST!!! Love her and hope to always have her as our server.

I've been to this OHSO before and love it. With my family flying in town I wanted to show them OHSO for the cool vibe and to get some great burgers and beers. We came in last night and sat in the front of the restaurant which gives you a cool view of the surrounding areas at the cross streets. As always this place exceeds my expectations and I leave happy. The food was on point, the atmosphere was positive, and the service was exceptional. I feel like we had to of had the best server in the building because she was very attentive, professional, and bubbly. A big thank you to Tatum for making us smile and feel at home which is always a win when taking the family out. Shout out to management here as well for running a well oiled machine. This is by far the best restaurant to go in Gilbert with the most to offer. read more

Cool vibes. But they ask for tips and it's self service. Drinks are expensive during happy hour even. They pour out half of the liquor after mixing it in a shaker, so drinks are very expensive and sweet. Fun area though read more

We had a job meeting with 12 employees. Service was good. No complaints. The place was so loud with music and whatever that we had a hard time hearing each other. The food wasn't good at all. Burgers were dry and tasteless and dry. The short rib tacos with sides were terrible. Out of 12 people not one good thing to say. read more

I was looking forward to ordering their mac and cheese, but when I got it it tasted like it had been reheated and the cream sauce was broken and grainy and not creamy like it usually is. I was really hungry so I took a couple bites of it and when the waiter asked if everything was ok, I said it didn't taste as good as normal. He took it back so they could remake it, but when he brought it out it had little pieces of vegetables in it that had not been there before, so it made me think they recycled the food. So, I ended up not eating it. I am so disappointed and hungry. read more

This is such an incredible place. The venue is amazing as well as the staff. The drinks seem high but there is no cover for awesome bands so understandable and I am willing to pay a higher price. The thing that pissed me off about this place was allowing children in. The place is crowed and children are crawling on the floor. I tripped over 3. Their parents are drinking. Who's bringing them home. The children all seem to have super sugar highs and one was dragging herself on the floor. WTF was my 3rd encounter. Um. I will never go back because the disrespect for adults and children is definitely not here. Children need to be out of the bar at least by 8pm. read more

The first time we went to OHSO, we didn't have a great experience. Between the not so great beer, and the insanely long wait time for food, we were turned off completely. After my first review, the owner Chris reached out asking us to come back in and give them another shot. To be honest, I am glad we did. Our waitress was great, super sweet personality and did check in with us often. We had the Asian chicken salad and the brisket sandwich, both had really good flavors and were tasty. The beer we chose this time was a bit better, but I feel just maybe their beers aren't our style and that's okay. The service was much faster and the food came out nice and hot. Thanks so much Chris for caring about your business, glad we gave OHSO another shot and we will be back again! read more

First time here, came out to see my brother and found this place on yelp. Place was filled with tabs and music playing, maybe a little loud but was seated under a speaker but asked to get turned down and Christian made it happen. Walked in got told to find a table ourselves and a server would be there to help soon. They really meant soon, Christian came over introduced himself handed us all the menus ( May specials, drinks and regular menu). Told us if we had any questions, concerns, complaints or anything let him know which working in the industry myself means a lot. After our whole table was seated came over asked about drinks or if we had questions but was asking us about if we wanted to start with shots which we were inclined to do since he came over with passion. Overall experience was great and would come back here and ask for him specifically! Coming from a fellow industry person food, ambiance and customer service this place has it covered! read more

I was really looking forward to the Fruity Pebbles French Toast as I saw the menu online, but I didn't realize that the brunch menu was just on Saturday and Sunday. Guess I'll have to come back sometime this weekend to try it out. Anyway, had lunch with a friend of mine. Wanted to try the new restaurant out. She ordered the Kale & Spinash salad where she devoured that while I was trying to finish the tower of fries from my order of Steak & Fries. Lol Delish food by the way! I'd just suggest on the steak and fries, more meat less fries. Because that's the most I've spent on french fries $15! Can't wait to go back and try the Ahi & Calamari next read more

OHSO in DT Gilbert deserves every accolade. My fellow graduate students and I were celebrating the end of finals. When we arrived, we were treated to a long table by the window. Our server, whose name I didn't catch, was attentive and courteous on the refills. She was exceptionally patient with our rowdy crowd! (I'm the exception, of course, for I was well-behaved.) I had two blonde ales and the Gobbler. The beer was refreshing, and the Gobbler was delicious. Think a little bit of Thanksgiving in burger form. I recommend it highly if you're looking for something satisfying and not too heavy. The following day, we returned for brunch! It was just that good. This time around, we sat outside. At this time of year, it's expectedly hot, so expect to sweat regardless of the fans and shade. This time around, our party got mimosas and breakfast items. My breakfast bowl hit it out of the park: Tasty, well-portioned blend of scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, salsa, and guac. Another episode of revelry in the books! We'll be back, no doubt. Thanks, OHSO! read more

Really good food and great drink selection. I wish the service was a bit better, it can be hit or miss. Sometimes the staff is great and very attentive, but others they seem to ignore us.
