The staff here really doesn't know how their own menu works. When asks about the sushi n a combo they couldn't answer. They just tense and said let me ask and the chefs don't know. I would recommend this place if you're looking for cheap sushi that taste good. The servers are always nice and check up on you enough. They don't overwhelm you. I would say the seating is limited but outside is really nice especially during the night time. read more

Been here once before during Covid and food was good, service and prices were good. Went again yesterday and was truly disappointed. Although the yellowtail hand roll was great, the tempura was 1 shrimp and 4 pcs of sweet potato. There is no ambiance. There is an overall lack of pride. Loud teeny pop music, cooks lousy talking with backwards baseball caps and huge rolls of plastic wrap on display at the "sushi bar" every 4 feet. A mile from the description of cozy or inviting. In fact, they even served wasabi and ginger in plastic cups w lid just like covid times! They also gave dishes for the soy and wasabi. So basically a total waste of single use plastic for no reason. It was about 5:30 when we were there and I think there was 2 other people in the place. The waitress did check on us repeatedly. Sad to say, we will not be back and I won't be recommending this place to anyone. Hate to leave a less than stellar review but hope they can improve. read more

I was in the area and I heard from a friend this place had ramen so I decided to check it out. The place was nice and quiet. I ordered the spicy ramen with an egg. It was really good. The only thing that was missing was the option to add some protein. It would have been a game changer if I could have some chicken, beef, or pork in my ramen. Overall great service. Please go elsewhere. I should have left when the waitress said she didn't understand the difference between dry and fresh ramen noodles. But, I thought I would give the sushi a try. The yellowtail nigiri was good but the specialty roll with shrimp tempura was awful. The tempura was cold and mushy. When I asked if that's how they usually served tempura items the waitress just shrugged her shoulders. And worst of all, I had to rush to a bathroom (due to gastric distress-I'm trying not to get gross!!) 10 minutes after I left. Definitely won't return. This place has been a home to my husband and I since 2019. We used to travel long distance and this would be the spot we would meet up to from 2018-2021. I would post a negative number but can't. I just witnessed the most disgusting thing preformed by a waitress at this restaurant. I just watched her take the aluminum wrap under the green cap of a new sriracha bottle with her mouth and put it on a table for a customer to use. WTH! DISGUSTING! Well last night 9/17/2025 , I took my family for dinner like around 8:03pm and at fist the everything was so nice I was even impressed on how quick we got served and everything was good , not until almost like 8:55pm that my 11 yr old went to go pay and didn't tip them on the card was until their true colors came out ... the server was yelling how she didn't get tipped and was being rude mind you we are still their , so I turned around waited for my family to leave when I literally went back in and told her that if she wasn't rude as hell she would have gotten a tip in cash these is what is wrong with businesses they hire un professional people to work in the wrong industry. The worse at customer service, literally walked in at 8:20ish & was told I couldn't dine in only to go, I walked back out & got my parents to order for take out I come back in grab the menu & as I am telling my parents to look at the menu so they can know what to order the lady rudely tells me you NEED TO ORDER NOW! I ordered a rainbow roll! It was pretty good, I'd give it a 7.5/10! The tuna was alright but the salmon was really delicious! When I come back next time, I'm probably going to order salmon only! It was yummy! The wait was honestly about 10 minutes, which was quick considering the lunch rush! It was packed within twenty minutes around 12 pm! This is an update on my previous comments about this establishment. Since my reply came as private. The manager finally accepted that's it was not me who she refunded the excess payment it was someone else and that she had not refunded me. I also told her I'm not interested with the refund cuz she's not owning the mistakes. It's just proves that it happened to another customers. First try, We Ordered a takeout, I ordered some sashimi and I was not very impressed with the portion of food, price or the taste of the sashimi (maybe it lacked freshness???). My wife ordered chicken fried rice, and she also wasn't impressed. So that was a one and done experience. read more

I had their bento boxes togo. It took a while for the food to come out and according to my folks who've dined in, their pace of coming out with the food is pretty bad. Getting my bento box togo took a bit longer than I would have liked but it wasn't a frustratingly long wait. I do recommend the bento boxes. I think it's a great value and only available if you're ordering takeout. Perhaps next time I might call in the order and then drive to pick it up to minimize that wait time. read more

Oh! Sushi! Is just the right amount of "good" to keep you coming back for more but also you leaving knowing that there are about 5+ sushi spots in Ventura County that you would prefer coming to first. The reality is this sushi spot is close to my work, they get you in and out, and the pricing is reasonable so I find myself coming back every-once in awhile when I am craving sushi but have to hustle back to the office. Service here ranges from 4-5 stars depending on the day. The sushi chefs are very friendly and acknowledge you which I appreciate. Actually everyone that works here is friendly but I have noticed that when they start to get busy around lunch the staff struggle to cash you out, check tables, and/or take the many calls coming through for Togo orders. This is more of a staffing issue then an individual issue as everyone is nice and seems to work hard. The restaurant is clean, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and they have an impressive sized menu. Also the pricing is reasonable and I do think you pay for what you get. Usually for lunch I can leave spending around $20 which is a good deal for sushi plus tip. My favorites: Are their miso soup, salmon sushi, and the ex girlfriend roll. I haven't been too adventurous here as when I tried to I would experience some misses, hence the docked star. The sushi isn't the freshest to be honest at times, it's just kind of hit or miss depending on the day I'm guessing. But really you have to try the EX GIRLFRIEND ROLL! It's so so good and I would gladly come back here for this rice-less roll time and time again. The dressing/sauce on this roll is to die for and given that it isn't baked I do find that it has a good taste as the emphasis is on the fish. A cup of soup and this roll is all I need to be happy during a busy workday. I think this place could easily be overlooked as it's in a busy shopping center with a good amount of food stops to choose from. That dish I do definitely recommend. The worst dish was the beef teriyaki. The beef is somewhat tender but the flavor of the meat is not that great. Not to mention the texture of the meat is also a big almost like stringy. One positive thing is the beef portion is really big. Big enough for 2, maybe 3 people. The inside decor is nice but nothing authentic. The staff was friendly somewhat. Service wise it was ok but not fantastic. Overall you would come here if you are craving sushi, and don't want to break the bank. The quality matches the prices you pay. read more
