Beef (bulgogi) Street Tacos

Finally, finally got a chance to try them. Kimchi quesadilla and street tacos were so good. I would ask for light sauce next time only bcs I don't like my food with a lot of sauce.

Super disappointed when coming into the store. I kinda miss the food truck. Was ignored and didn't even get a hi welcome or good afternoon or anything. Waited for like 5ish minutes before anyone came to me to ask what I wanted. The service basically was trash. We got the bowl and it was alright. It use to be wayyyy better. Felt like it was quickly thrown together just to get us out the door. Def not a chill environment or experience.

The decor is very thoughtful and fun. Picking up a Dash is quick. Restrooms is pristine for the record. Upgrade to 5 stars

Food is pretty decent for a food truck. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. I love their sauce that they used for the fries and quesadilla. The quesadilla's filling is on the sweeter side, so if you are more of a savory person, I would recommend getting something else. Staff is friendly. Had to wait a bit but not too long. The food truck is super cute.

Stopped here to grab a late night comfort meal with my friends after a long nap. We looked over the menu and after a few questions of what would be recommend we made our orders. One of my friends ordered the quesadilla and the other ordered the kimchi sliders. I ordered the loaded fries which was recommended when I looked up this restaurant and stated to be the most popular by the employee serving us. I typically don't get loaded fries places because they get soggy and aren't reheat-able but they sounded delicious so I had to give it a go. My friends overall rated their food a 8. The quesadillas were expected to be bigger since they did not come with anything else but were yummy nonetheless. My loaded fries came with beef bolgogi, cheese, chopped and grilled onions, kimchi and a sweet spicy creamy sauce all wrapped together with a fried egg. The fries themselves were nicely seasoned and all of the toppings married together for a harmonious explosion of flavor on the palate. These were incredibly filling so I could not finish them all but I did take breaks so I could eat more and more. I definitely recommend giving this restaurant a go.

I'm disappointed at how much the price of gogi is nowadays but the changes they have made to their recipe is well worth it! The meats are more flavorful and the overall seasonings have improved! Due to inflation it went from a simple 7$ price to what it is now but don't let that steer you away. Still one of the best post drunk foods to get. The gogi fries are the staple covered in spicy mayo meat of your choice cilantro and onions you can't beat it! The restaurant location tastes just like the trucks!

I love the food! It is very delicious! I appreciate the fusion between different cuisines. The staff was very friendly and since it was my first time there, they were very patient with me when ordering. This is definitely a must try spot in Houston! This time, i had to order to go, but i can't wait to go back and dine it to get the full experience.

A food truck turned eatery, this is one of my favorite fusion food places in Houston. Same taste and quality as the former food truck, this place just makes things better with seating now available inside and quick service with no long wait lines!

We used to visit rice village to eat OMG fries. And now they are on westheimer road. What else can you ask for. Love their kimchi fries. Kimchi burger was okayish especially for the price. The burger was tasteless.

The fusion is so good. We enjoyed this place! The menu is pretty simple, and the staff were all very friendly. Food came out at a reasonable time and was flavored perfectly. We just wish there were more drink options.

Oh my gogi opening a brick and mortar so close to me has ruined my life. I'm never going to be in shape again. The food tastes even better than it did from the food truck. Started adding caramelized kimchi to the beef fries and buddy it's a game changer. Is constantly eating OMG worth looking at myself in the mirror with shame and disgust afterwards? Yes. Yes it is. I'm just gonna have to be a hefty boi forever.

YAYY. Finally! Their brick and mortar. I get waaaay too lazy to drive to west university for their food truck, so I go months without having my craving satisfied. I was craving it today and looked up their location and LO AND BEHOLD, their brick and mortar had just opened about a month ago. Woohoo. No more having to drive far and eat while standing. Personally, I love their Gogi Burger with beef. It reminds me of a patty melt but just SUPER cheesy and with a hawaiian bun. It turns out their burgers come with a side of fries now. The best part? you can upgrade it for the loaded fries for an extra $10. Pretty good deal to me! I also tried the kimchi quesadilla, it was probably my least favorite. A bit too sweet for my palate, but I'm sure it gets ordered a lot. Service here was top notch. The girl at the counter was super sweet. You can actually see the staff cook your food. The store itself is really easy to find. It is right next to spotlight.

This location in spring…read morebranch is their original, and I grew up coming here for lunch every sunday after church. 1) Jjajangmyeon: My brother loves getting this one. It is sweet and a bit soupy from all the sauce. The noodles are chewy and bouncy, and get coated in the sauce nicely. There is a good amount of meat that comes with it too! The flavors are great. 2) Jaengbanjjajang: This is my go-to and personal favorite noodle dish to get here. It is similar to their original jjangmyeon except that it is less soupy and has a bit of spice. The spiciness adds a nice kick balancing the sweet and savory flavors. There are also lots of different mix ins like squid, shrimp, beef, and vegetables! The play on textures and contrasting flavors is why I love this dish 3) Spicy Chicken Wings (Yangnyeom): For not being a chicken wing restaurant, Paiks sure does serve some banger wings. Juicy big wings with a slight crisp on the outside. The sauce is amazing. It is that sweet and spicy yangnyeom korean fried chicken sauce. 4) Tangsuyuk: I never visit Paisk without ordering their tangsuyuk. Perfectly fried with a great chew. The pork is not too porky or gamey which is nice, and the sauce is a sticky sweet and sour sauce. 4) Gunmandoo: Their panfried dumplings are quite nice too! I haven't gotten them in a while, but they were solid Overall, I don't think there was a single dish I disliked here at Paiks. Service is standard, not too fast not too slow. The ambiance is not really one for dates or anything. It's super casual with metal chairs. It can get a bit cold. There are restrooms and water dispensers. They used to have the self serve yellow radish but now they just serve it with your meal. You have to clean your table yourself and put all the dish trays in the back

We ordered the ABC platter with NY strip, boneless short rib, pork belly, plus an extra side of bulgogi, which was more than enough for 4 people. We got the combo thing with a bunch of different meats, and the large pork belly was cooked first so we ended up waiting for a good amount of time, and once we started slowing down the beef tongue cooked very quickly and faster than we could eat. The banchan were pretty hit or miss. The kimchi and salad were highlights. Overall taking away a star because I've had better experiences at other high end kbbq restaurants in different cities.

Clean cooking that wasn't oily and allowed the flavors of all the ingredients to shine. The japchae was light and refreshing, yet hearty. They were able to accommodate spicy levels well and they didn't disappoint! The sundubu was spicy and aromatic. It had noodles with the right amount of bounciness and fresh vegetables. The silken tofu was solid and among the better once's we've had. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient while we reviewed the menu. We did the 3 meat BBQ combo, which easily feeds around 3 people and added a few extra dishes to share. We ordered the jahp chae, which is a stir fried glass noodle with vegetables and beef. It was AMAZING and probably our favorite dish of the night. Super flavorful but not oily at all which is rare for stir fried noodles. This was both of our favorites. We also tried tteok bokki, which is chewy rice cakes in a spicy sauce. They offer the option to add cheese and in hindsight I think that would have made it better. I was really excited for this one, but it didn't fully hit for me. It was good just not amazing and a little more spicy than I personally prefer. Lastly, we tried the yachae jeon which is a vegetable pan fried pancake, and WOW. It was huge, super crispy, and had sooo much flavor for a vegetarian dish. The meats and all the BBQ fixings were incredible. Honestly, every single thing that came to the table was amazing QUALITY and amazing FLAVOR.
