My favorite snack to get when at the Sunday Fremont Outdoor Market-- Plantains and Beef Patty doused in hot sauce. So delicious and feels like summertime! :-)

Mixed combo, Oxtail and jerk chic'cen.

Meh, The flavors didn't quite hit the mark. I've been on a quest to find authentic Jamaican cuisine, but my search in Seattle continues without success. I do appreciate the effort that has gone into offering such dishes, though. It's definitely worth a visit, especially for the vibrant ambiance and lively atmosphere of the Fremont Sunday Market.

Food is just okay but they never seem to respect the line - we've had to walk away on multiple occasions

Our server took our order at the bar, inviting us to a party happening later that night that we could tell would be a ball! I opted to order the brown stew chicken with rice plantain and steamed veg. I also ordered a cup of chicken soup. The food came in about 15-20mins, packed to go with care by the bartender. Everything tasted so fresh. The steamed veg was an assortment of perfectly cooked broccoli, peppers, squash and green beans as opposed to the cabbage I usually expect at a Jamaican spot. The brown stew was so rich and flavorful-- I enjoyed it so much and the portion was enough to enjoy for 2 lunches. One of my friends opted for a jerk chicken plate, which was also good-- but probably baked as opposed to grilled in a more authentic fashion. Don't get me wrong the dish was still delicious, but everything we tried seemed to have its own flare that maybe reflects where this spot is in the pacific north west. The soup was also perfect for a cool day with delicious spinner dumplings. I wish I had gotten to try a patty (I forgot!) and they didn't have bammy this day. I washed everything down with a cold ting. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good, nourishing eats in Seattle.

I ordered the Jerk Wings which were TENDER and Fallin off the bone!! YOU ABSOLUTELY WILL NEED A FORK! The spices were delicious and the food taste like the cook actually cared about the preparation. Clean, cooked well and evenly seasoned. I also got a Sorrel and Rum.... annnnd although $23 was STEEP for a drink... I only needed one. I also ordered the fried whole Tilapia with brown stew on the side ... Goshhh I love fried fish but it's sooo hard to get a seasoned fried fish! This place did not disappoint!! Sooo flaky and crusty and soft and yummy ! I wish I could just drink their sauce bar!

Juicy jerk chicken, soft rice and delicious cabbage..... everything was so flavorful and I couldn't put my fork down. The owner was very sweet and accommodating! When we arrived, there were a few tables occupied, and we were invited to seat ourselves. We chose a cozy booth near the kitchen. One thing to note: there are no physical menus; instead, you order and pay using QR codes at the table. We started with the aloo pies and, of course, couldn't pass up the jerk chicken. Everything arrived at once rather than in courses, but it didn't take away from the experience. Every dish was packed with flavor. The aloo pies had a taste reminiscent of samosas :: crispy on the outside with a warmly spiced filling :: and were served with a tangy chutney that complemented them perfectly. The jerk chicken was the standout. Tender, juicy, and beautifully seasoned with warm, balanced spices :: it was easily the highlight of the meal. It came with rice and peas (beans), which were some of the best we've had, along with a simple green salad that surprised us with its freshness and bright citrus vinaigrette. We also had the pleasure of chatting with Pam, who was just as warm and welcoming as the food she prepares. She mentioned that they often have live music on weekends, which sounds like a great reason to return. I also noticed they offer an all-you-can-eat buffet on Wednesdays, and after this experience, I'm especially excited to come back and try more of the menu. If everything else is as good as what we had, we're already sold. Oh! I almost forgot :: my husband ordered a wonderful drink, the Trinidad Smash. One sip transported us to vacation mode, instantly! So good!

Fries were a little dry, meaning it was probably over fried a bit, but it was well seasoned and went well with the white sauce the food came with. Mac n cheese was well seasoned but not very cheesy, so it was good but wouldn't say it was stellar. Soft shell crab was average. Prices were a little high for what you get, but apparently 20% gratuity is automatically applied and is reflected in the menu prices, according to small text on their menu. Service was very nice though a little slow because only 1 person was working at the time. There is general outdoor seating in the courtyard.

I understand things can happen, but I do hope the posted hours are accurate on a daily basis since we planned our visit around them. That said, based on how great everything smelled, I'd definitely be willing to give it another try next time we're in the area.
