I wish I could give 0 stars. I brought my Jeep to Offroad Customz in late 2022/ picked up the Jeep from them early 2023 for a head gasket repair, spending over $7k. No one else touched the engine after that. Less than two years later, another shop found their work caused internal leaks due to excessive silicone. After a differential oil change in early 2023, my AC also stopped working, which was working perfectly fine per dropping it off then I was told parts were backordered. Poor workmanship and unresolved issues -- I won't be back and don't recommend this shop. read more

I couldn't be happier with my experiences at Offroad Customz. They've done two major jobs on my 4Runner and both were completed with excellent quality, on time, and at very reasonable pricing. 1. Lower Control Arm & Bracket Repair I damaged my lower control arm, cam bolts, and even bent the LCA mounting bracket. I brought them the replacement parts, and they finished the entire job the very next day. They welded on Dirt King alignment cam gussets for both sides and managed to repair the damaged bracket without cutting it out, but were ready to fabricate a new one if needed. After the repair they did an alignment that was noticeably better than my general mechanic's work and even corrected a steering wheel misalignment I had before. I immediately tested the truck at Pismo/Oceano Dunes and it performed perfectly. 2. Gears, Lockers & Compressor Install Most recently I had them regear to Revolution 4.88s and install front and rear ARB air lockers with a dual compressor. They also replaced my driver's CV axle with the OEM one I provided. The entire job was finished in exactly 5 days, just as quoted. The difference in torque and acceleration is night and day, and while I haven't had the chance to fully test the lockers yet, based on my past experience with their work I'm confident it'll be just as solid. Pricing & Service Pricing across both jobs was very reasonable for the quality and scope of work. My only minor con was that the post-regear differential fluid change and gear inspection ended up delayed by 2 days because the shop was so booked up (vehicles were literally overflowing the lot). But once they got to it, they completed the service promptly, and I was able to pick up my 4Runner the same day within just a few hours. Overall, Offroad Customz delivers excellent work, fair pricing, and attention to detail that's hard to find. Highly recommend them for both repairs and performance upgrades. read more

I needed an alignment for my FJ. After calling around and being told because I have aftermarket parts it was going to cost more and they weren't sure if they can get to the specs that I needed. Installed a lift kit myself because it's hard to find quality service these days, and turned to Offroad Customz to dial in my caster, pinion, centering the frame over the axles, and alignment. Did not have DW before lift, post lift, just a crooked steering wheel before arriving at Offroad Customz. First warning sign, they dropped my jeep off at a nearby wheel alignment shop, basically subcontracted out. 3 hours later, it's ready. Second warning sign, I ask for a printout of the before and after measurements, I get the runaround that they usually get one but not today, however "it's driving great". Third tell-tale of their lack of attention to detail, I go sit in the seat to drive off after being disappointed without the alignment results and just plain tired after 3 hours of waiting, they forgot to reset the glowing dash lights (steering stability assist). The next few days, there's wander, bump steer, and DW. I never reached back out to the shop. I had given them my trust as they are the jeep professionals, but that trust quickly vanished. At this point, I rather chase the issue down on my own, i retorqued everything, centered the frame over axles (i guess the shop missed that), checked the toe at the tires which looked ok, still getting wander & DW. Put on a Fox ATS SS, better, but still was off and vibrating, shimmying. Took wheels off, tape measured the toe at the rotors and found the problem. I thought after spending 3 hours with the jeep the shop was dialing it in, but apparently they didn't touch the track bars, most likely didn't touch the control arms, and set the toe incorrectly. I adjusted the toe and voila, wander, DW, all that is gone. Consider the fee a donation. Still in search for a good shop. read more

I started getting the death wobble on my 6 inch lifted jeep on 37s and it felt like a death machine. Vee had me drop it off and he walked me through all the problems after checking it out. I only wish I found these guys earlier. Somehow in my original efforts to find an offroad shop I somehow missed Offroad Customz despite being right down the street from my office. Ended up using a place all the way in Glendora instead. #FAIL I had an issue with the suspension on my Jeep Gladiator from that other shops install. Reached out to Joe and V and was able to drop it off to get my suspension fixed the same day. They made the whole process super easy. The bill for parts/labor was affordable and fair. I got worked by these guys. I took my truck in because I was getting abnormally fast wear on the inside of my front two tires. They diagnose the issue, order the parts, I bring the truck in and pay. Assuming problem is fixed, I buy brand new K2's about $400 each and the same damn thing happens to them. Tires ruined. I take the truck back calmly as I understand that shit happens. We're not perfect. They just look confused and said they'll call me after they talk to someone else to discuss. Wasn't a fan of this but I remained calm and cool... perhaps too calm and cool because the call never came. I had to call in and instead of apologizing for not calling or any attempt to make this right, the guy covered and asked if he'd like me to try calling the supplier again... whatever that meant. I then explained to him that I felt worked on this whole ordeal and that I was sold unnecessary repairs on their recommendations and yeah, I'm a little pissed now. INSTEAD of accepting any responsibility for any of this, he proceeded to lecture me on my usage of expletives (guilty as charged). He then asked coldly, "so would you like me to try the supplier again..." which I still have no idea what that even means. I ended the conversation shortly after as I wouldn't trust these guys with my truck even if they wanted to make it right at this point. All in all, I'm a couple grand out with the same issue I had going in. I got worked. I'm sure these guys do good work on situations they understand. In this case, they didn't understand and tried to brush me off without making it right. Proceed with caution. read more

Honestly I'm quite impressed I went to the shop and requested for them to install a snorkel on my third gen Tacoma and I had couple of other little quick parts to install as well they gave me a time frame and I left the car there. There were done on time and the job was absolutely perfect not to mention they also installed the little parts that I had free of charge which is unheard of in any field especially these days. It was a lifelong dream of mine to have a nice beefy lifted Jeep and thanks to Offroad Customz I finally have it. I wasn't entirely sure what exactly was it that I wanted for my Jeep as far as parts go and they were very helpful and very patient in assisting me to getting exactly what I wanted. I took my Wrangler TJ in for alignment after I installed new wheels/tires and a heavy duty steering kit. Off-road Customz did their best, but informed me that the steering kit I had was too long and would not work. They did not charge me anything since they were not able to complete the job. I appreciated it very much. They made a recommendation for a replacement part, which I then ordered through them. Due to some modifications I made to install my current steering system, the new part did not work. Once again, they charged me $0! Even though they did order the new part and went through all the labor. In the end, their skilled technicians cut my drag link to the proper size and made it work. It was completed VERY quickly. One day turnover time. And the price was very fair. They are very open and honest about their work. They won't charge you for anything extra. My jeep now drives great. read more
