The test of a good store is how they treat you when something has gone wrong. The Micro Center…read moreservice department passes that test. I brought my Windows laptop to the service department to assess problems with the Thunderbolt 4 port. I paid $50 for the assessment. When I received the machine back, the tech notes indicated that he had examined only the USB-C port, not the Thunderbolt 4 controller upstream. I was not happy. I called the service manager, Damian, to tell him what happened. Damian not only refunded my $50 but told me to bring my laptop in the next day for a Thunderbolt 4 assessment while I waited. The assessment was done quickly and Damian himself explained the results to me. I was very impressed at how Damian took ownership of the original mistake and took steps to make it right. I plan to make Micro Center my go-to store for computer purchase and repair.

Carole knew her stuff and was super quick to find him the perfect computer. She also knew what his school would provide and didn't try to take us for more money than necessary! That meant a lot to me. The manager came over and also said hello. That can go a long way! This was a fantastic experience and exactly why I will always come back here for all of my computer needs.

While they didn't have what I needed for this weird shaped/sized poster he's got, she did have some great suggestions and also offered custom framing as an option. We soon got down to business for the party, and the gentleman by the registers walked us up and down the aisles to get exactly what we needed, and even gave cost-saving options for some stuff. When it was time to check out, he set up my daughter's account and made sure she was getting all the available discounts. Blick is a great store that knows their stuff inside out, and sincerely wants to help with your arts and crafts needs!

When we brought our inexpensive piece in, we were met with disgust and condescension by one of the employees. After bringing up the less than stellar customer service moment with management, they were quite nice and apologetic. Their response was great because we did spend over $1,000 to have our, I guess, substandard artwork-at least in the eyes of their "curator"- stretched to hang in our home. Our next experience was nothing but positive, another vintage, oversized piece, treated beautifully and delivered to our home. The quality of work and convenience of the delivery option is fabulous.

Since this MICHAELS doesn't have in-store scanners, I used my app to see what the discount was that was advertised. Makes sense, right? No other way to know your discount as they only tell you the percentage. Have to figure out yourself. When I went to checkout, it was not what I scanned, so I told the guy at register(young male). Not a very friendly person. Tried to tell me it was more than what I scanned. Basically, sounded like he didn't believe me!! So I scanned it in FRONT of him like THREE TIMES-as after the first time he still refused it. Ended up calling over the manager(also not friendly-young female). So then she tries to say it's an online price-which MY MICHAELS I go to in LAPEER has never had an issue with by the way as THEY say it's allowed. Anyway-she ended up doing it, and I told her that if your not going to have scanners in your store & people are using the MICHAELS APP to scan what they want to buy, then what's the problem? She actually told ME TO CALL CORPORATE & complain as that's who pulled the scanners. I'm sorry HONEY-wouldn't that be YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS A MANAGER?? I have NEVER HAD AN ISSUE with any other Michaels shopping using my app. Hmm.
