I contacted my local Office Max store at 586-726-0150 at 2:52 p.m. on 07/08/2016 and talked to a young lady who mumbled her name twice when asked. I was trying to determine if the store had an Epson Perfection V600 in stock and the lady said "hold on a few" and went out onto the floor (I assumed since I was on hold for over two minutes). When she picked up the line and told me that they did have one I asked her to please pull it to the service desk so that I could have my mom who weighs 106 pounds come in and purchase it. I told the lady we were working on settling the estate of my grandmother and since my mom was a small lady that I would send my nephew with her so that he could carry the large box out to the car. She said it would be there waiting for them. They traveled 45 minutes to the location, they took my cell phone (the same one I called the store on) with them to use the maps application because they were unfamiliar with the area. When they arrived they went to the service desk and the man there (NO ONE WEARING NAME TAGS) told my mother, daughter and nephew @4:31 p.m. that there was no scanner there, in fact they have other scanners ($500+) instead of the V600 ($299) I sent them in to get. He told them that he really didn't know where I called but that absolutely no one in the store had taken a phone call about a scanner and pretty much "too bad, too sad". I received an upset call from my 13 year old daughter at 4:37 p.m. telling me that after fighting rush hour traffic on Hall Rd. that the store didn't have the scanner in stock and that the man said they were liars. I asked to speak with the gentleman. He proceeded to tell me that there was no way I talked to anyone in his location and that they didn't even carry this scanner...I read the phone number I called and tried to pronounce the young ladies foreign name. He told me that there were no other girls other than Christina there and she never talked to me, and so I must not have called there...(ie...I didn't know where the hades I was talking about). He literally had to put me on hold to find out the phone number for his own store because "There was NO WAY I called and talked to someone at their location"...He came back and refused to acknowledge that I had the correct phone number... HOWEVER I wrote a list for my nephew with the store number, address and the item number that I had received from the girl and the actual phone I had her on called was out in the car... I had my nephew go out to the car to get the cell phone I called from. I directed my mother and nephew to FIND HIM and show him the number I called and the time...HE DISAPPEARED OFF THE FLOOR and would not come back out to confirm the fact that AN EMPLOYEE at 2:52 p.m. told me that there was in fact a scanner there waiting to be picked up. This man refused to tell my family who he was, he literally called my nephew, mother, daughter and I liars.... I WILL NNNNEVER go to ANY OFFICE MAX AGAIN. However I WILL tell you what I'll do, since I have lots and lots of business associates, friends, relatives and contacts...I will copy and paste this review across all of the 6 social networks I am involved in. A simple..."I am sorry we made a mistake, how can we make it better...can we ship to your house?" would have been much better response and in the long run, probably cheaper for this company. Came here to buy an office desk. They have a good selection of desks to choose from however they all tend to be pricey compared to other stores that sell such furniture. However, we were able to get a good deal on a nice desk which was easy to put together. I can not comment on any of the other products they sell here. If there are deals, you can find some gems at this place. read more

Simply horrid. Overpriced with bored sales team members that hover over people that really don't sell anything of value. I think this place is run by wage robots, not people who might actually do something useful. read more

This place is a joke they never have anything that is advertised and what they may have, they have very little of it, but hey at least they got 150 $11.99 3 inch binders in stock. The employees are ridiculous to find, and most of them are bored, so they give you attitude while there are a few good employees that make up for their behavior the store is just not a pleasant place to shop with overpriced supplies and the supplies that are on sale, or cheap are never in stock. read more

I had to return a chair. Steve the store manager was notified. He came right out for the needed information from the chair, helped me choose a new one, then helped to load in my trunk. Great customer service. read more

I haven't been in this store in a couple of years because they rarely have advertised sales in stock and I gave up on them. Since the merger, I was hoping maybe something changed , so I drove down to pick up an advertised sale item. Walked around the store and no one approached me. Found the spot where the item was supposed to be and no sign saying out of stock or anything. Walked around and found a person of authority and asked where they were. He tells me they are out of stock. Didn't apologize for wasting my time, didn't offer a substitute. Nothing nada. I won't waste my time again in going to the store that doesn't understand customers. read more
