Disappointed with Product Quality and Customer Service…read more I usually try not to leave reviews, but my recent experience at Harbor Freight has been frustrating enough to share. On March 5, I purchased a two-shelf service cart to use at trade shows--both for unloading my trailer and as a display stand. Right from the start, the cart felt flimsy and unstable, as if it might collapse at any moment. I put merchandise on the top shelf during the show, but it was so weak that I eventually stopped using it altogether out of fear it might break and injure a customer. Since I still needed a cart, I went back to Harbor Freight on March 10 and bought a flatbed cart instead. While there, I asked about returning the faulty service cart, and an employee told me I'd need to speak with a manager. I didn't have the cart with me, so I called the store later to confirm I could get a refund before making another trip. After speaking to an assistant manager, she put me on hold and left me there for 17 minutes before I finally hung up. With no resolution over the phone, I drove back to the store to request a refund in person. That's when the store manager told me no refunds because it was used. I had already been upfront about using it when I first asked about the return, and he claimed they couldn't resell it--which I completely agree with since it was unsafe and poorly made. However, instead of a refund, they only offered in-store credit. If they had told me that earlier, I would have waited to buy the replacement cart with the credit rather than paying out of pocket. The manager's response? "Well, you already bought stuff again, so I guess we won't lose a customer." His dismissive attitude was just the cherry on top of a terrible experience. To make things worse, the flatbed cart I bought to replace it also has issues. I had to use thread lock on the bolts because they would loosen right after using it of the box. Even after tightening them properly, two of the wheels started wobbling after just 30-40 minutes of use. Overall, this was a horrible experience with both the products and customer service. I expected low quality garbage from them, but at least be able to use the product as intended for a time or two. Plus a bit more respect / customer service when dealing with defective products. Definitely won't be making future purchases from Harbor Freight.

Ace is almost always my first stop for anything hardware, but in the future, I definitely will never again buy their KeyFobs. I then went to my local locksmith and will see if their product will last any longer than Ace's KeyFobs.

They always have a vast selection of items; from paper towels to plants to a new roof, you can find it here. The shop seems to always be well stocked and clean. There are well maintained restrooms available, and cutting stations can be found if needed. They offer a monthly kids crafts event, along with other, occasional, informative classes, and they always have great seasonal deals to take advantage of (both in-store and online). My visit today though, was of a different manner. I'm working to socialize my new pup, possibly as a service dog, and I was told Home Depot was a dog friendly store. Upon entering, I did stop at customer service to be sure it was allowed. The employee enthusiastically replied that all well behaved furry companions were welcomed at Home Depot, the only expectation is that the owners clean up messes. I was relieved and we happily went about our training. Honestly, it could not have been more of a positive experience for us. All of the employees we meet were very friendly, and we were acknowledged often seeing if we needed assistance. We did a few laps around the store, found a cute plant to commemorate my pups first in-shop (besides pet stores) adventure. It was a great shopping trip, I definitely can recommend the Utica location, and I'm sure I'll be visiting again soon.

I noticed that they had a kitchen area filled with small appliances, food storage, cooking, and bakeware. There are other household products such as cleaning supplies and laundry items. I love their trash cans. My mom actually bought one from here. The Brute ones are amazing and cheap. Great for yard and trash. They have a large section for paint and wood supplies. Anything you can think of, they have. All the the necessary tools as well. Even ladders for outside work, painters, or anyone. One of my favorite things was the storage bins. Perfect for storing away things taking up space. They have many other sections like plumbing, automotive, and hardware. A useful area for me is the doorknobs and padlocks. I was looking for new ones. We also saw lots and lots of tooks for everything. Their biggest section may have been lawn. The lawn area have sprinklers, tools, weedwackers, blowers, lawn mowers, hose, bird feeders, plant food, insect control, fertilizer, grass chemicals, and grass seed. They also have grills and propane. Some of the tools are useful for yard work such as shovels and rakes. It's seems like a great place to buy painting and lawn items more than anything else. I did see some items priced higher than other stores like the cleaning supplies. They do also have some cheap steals.

The store is large, and I love their huge selection of books. They also have a very large parking lot, so there is no issue finding a spot. We also purchase our lawn fertilizer here each year and bags of topsoil for any yard or lawn repairs along with grass seed etc. Their deck stains are another item we buy when it's time to spruce up the color of the deck. It's a handy store indeed and whether it's spring, summer, winter or fall- the nicely laid out aisles and seasonal department usually have what we need. From small items to large, they have you covered and if it saves a trip to the big box stores, then you've saved yourself some time as well. The store is always neat and clean which is always something I notice when entering any establishment and that speaks volumes that they care about their customers.
