Lowe's is always a safe bet. The service is consistently great. Employees are attentive, helpful, and actually take the time to help you find what you need. The store is clean and well organized, which I appreciate when I'm already overwhelmed by a project. Selection is solid and the quality is there. Prices can be a little higher, but that's kind of expected. You're paying for reliability and good service. Only downside is I never have cell service in here (Verizon people beware), but overall I really can't complain. Always a good experience. read more

Service on the floor is good but they need more register help. The lines are long and always take forever.

I ordered a Craftsman riding lawnmower, from Lowe's paid for it, and received a delivery notice for Friday. At the beginning of the week. I was notified by phone the day before delivery, that the lawnmower wasn't going to be delivered. After I asked why, they explain the delivery men who assemble the lawnmowers, never showed up. I assumed I needed to cancel the order, Lowe's wasn't offering any other options. I get it, why work on a Friday of Memorial Day weekend when you can skip out and have a long weekend. I went to Home Depot and purchased a John Deere lawnmower on Friday! My order is already out for delivery Saturday morning. Thank you Home Depot. Great organization, awesome staff who have impeccable interpersonal skills and customer service focus. read more

Cashier or customer? Should I give one star or two stars? I'll give two because when there were no prices on the two stacks of boxed lawnmowers that I was interested in, two associates came to my assistance and scanned the barcode to let me know what the price was. To be honest, I really just needed a new lawnmower blade. I looked and looked and found exactly one. Just one available. So I grabbed it and went to the checkout. None of the cashiers were available. There was a line at the self-checkout. I finally got to the point of purchase. Paying cash. Scan a barcode. I hold up my military ID. Nope, not that one. I see military discount, select it, now it wants my drivers license. I fumble to get it out, the machine apparently couldn't wait and timed out. At that point, so did my patience. I simply walked out, empty handed. After a long day at work, I just wanted to cut my lawn. Maybe I'll stop by Home Depot or Ace Hardware on the way home from work tomorrow. I can be a customer at those places. I don't have to be a cashier, too. read more

We have purchased many things from this store on multiple occasions including a hot water heater, electrical doo dads, the bench cushion I couldn't find anywhere else, a bathroom faucet, and some hedges for the yard. The service is friendly enough, and the prices are typically decent. We will more than likely continue shopping there for various home related items. read more

I'm very disappointed with the managment I think her name is Diana and she was no help with my experience in the store she is very rude and I will never be shopping here again. Recently purchased a lawn tractor and was going to take it with us, but they said they had free delivery and we decided to get the mulching attachment and they said they had free assembly and they would install it and deliver it the following week it never showed up they said the assembler didn't come to work The manager at the store was making up excuses and then when it finally shows up several weeks later, the mulching attachment is not installed and a delivery. People said they don't install those. They just bring it along and it's up to us to install it. I was tempted to just tell him to take it all back and go to another business and buy a lawn tractor when you're spending thousands of dollars you don't expect that read more

I am 71 year old women. I ordered a lawnmower from Lowe's.. It was free delivery and they were going to attach a mulching device to the lawnmower which they said would take a couple days.. after delivery date came and went. I was told the person that does the assembly did not show up for work. New delivery date was issued an appointment. The device was not on the lawnmower and the delivery. People said that Lowe's a delivery that they do not attach equipment to lawnmowers because they didn't have a hoist. So long story short, three weeks go by. I've gotta pay somebody to mow the lawn. I've gotta pay somebody to put the mulching attachment on Lowe's cost me $100. If they had told me from the beginning I could've gone elsewhere and had complete assembly delivered to my house long before their delivery.. I even went to the store in Clinton Township and the supervisor told me the exact same thing they were waiting for somebody to put the mulching device on on the lawnmower. Not very happy with the entire situation being lied to and costing somebody on Social Security $100 extra when they really don't have that type of money. read more

THAR SHE LOWES! * A whale of a home improvement store* Ahoy maties! Avast and hear me spin some yarns of an emporium loaded with treasure to starboard and port! Okay, I was gonna write this review on national Talk Like a Pirate Day but I forgot and I don't think I can maintain that schtick for a whole review anyway. I just wanted to outdo Eric S with wordplay laden headers. I've found the employees at this Lowe's extra helpful. I bought a ladder here awhile back and the guy I asked for guidance to the ladder selection walked me through the whole process of extending, expanding, folding, unfolding and otherwise maneuvering the model I selected - the Little Giant, a ladder that's as compactable and easy to use as one could hope for. And the coup de grace is the Little Giant has wheels to spare the user from carrying it around! I don't know why I never saw a ladder with wheels until that day but I'm glad the Lowe's employee who assisted me took the time to give me a full on tutorial on how to use that ladder. He clearly appreciated the way that mechanism was designed and now I do, too. Haley, who mixed a couple quarts of paint for me one day went above and beyond too, chatting me up about the mural I'm painting and pointing me to a cashier who also paints in case I wanted to talk shop more. I didn't but that was thoughtful of her. I think this might have been the Lowe's I bought my Greenworks weed wacker and leaf blower at, too? I don't know, I've spent a lot of pandemic time unemployed and working on projects. At any rate I'm glad the Lowe's out by my parents condo has workers that actually care instead of just pointing in the general direction of what you're looking for. AAARRRRR! read more

Everything and a chicken wing! I can't tell you how many times i've been at a loss for where to buy something that didn't quite fit into the department store category or not quite lumberyard scale that I have found at Lowe's. They run the gamut on power tools, hand tools, lighting, plumbing.. I honestly feel that you could build an entire house from the stuff here and then furnish it. The store is big enough that you could probably build that house somewhere near the garden area and nobody would notice. ;) Staff here actually knows where stuff is, even if it's not in their area so if someone asks 'can I help you?', it's not an empty promise, they will, in fact, help you. Come in and get lost for an hour, you'll thank yourself that you did. read more

I was in desperate need of tiles to complete my kitchen improvement project. I purchased 15 tiles from a local Lowes at a clearance price. I needed more to complete my project, so the associate at the store I purchased from directed me to the Clinton Township store which was the only store that still has the items and it was only 6 left! So I hurried to the store asked for help but the store associate didn't find them. I was told there was a mistake in the system. I kept looking AND FOUND THEM!! However, the price was different from the price I purchased (clearance) the manager Karen said she couldn't price match another Lowes nor could she change a corporate markdown. These were the last 6 tiles in the district which were on clearance!! I really need them to complete my project. Karen said they would throw them away or donate them rather than sell them to me for the price I paid at another Lowes. Does Lowes stand behind this decision in the name of customer satisfaction? Lowes store #1716 Karen a manager who said she couldn't change the price, took $2 off but this was not equivalent to the clearance price I paid at a different Lowes. I really don't think that Lowes stands behind this managers poor decision making. I am very displeased and disappointed in Lowe's Home Centers LLC store #1716 Clinton Township Michigan. read more

Went in today only to encounter discrimination. Bill is the name they gave me to the gentleman who essentially made it his mission to keep anyone from assisting me in the purchase of a generator ultimately losing it to another customer. But the employees were sure to let me know (their words), the white man bought it. A Hispanic gentleman was trying to assist me but Bill kept him from that. Bill was under the assumption that when two Hispanic gentlemen are having a discussion that they know each other. Because of Bill I lost out on a great deal, which wouldn't have been an issue had he not kept the attention of every employee in the area away from me in an effort to help a white woman. Race and color wouldn't even had been an issue if they didn't make it their point to inform me after I finally got assistance that "the white man bought the generator"! That was the second time discrimination had happened here and the last time I will ever step foot in a Lowe's ever again. Home Depot and other hardware and lumber stores will get my business. read more

I used to be a Home Depot person but when I moved into my new home Lowe's was so much closer that I ended up going there out of convenience. I needed paint, keys, duct sealant... a whole bunch of odds & ends that really add up when you buy a new home. Lowe's has a nice selection & good prices. & if you download the app you can see exactly what is in stock & where it is located. Customer service on the floor is hit or miss. I've had workers go out of their way to help me & then I've encountered workers that were totally clueless. But nothing worth complaining about. I really like the 5% discount with the Lowe's card & I've purchased all my home appliances here in the last few years because of it. When I bought my dishwasher a few months ago there was a rebate offer for the cost of installation. I placed the order online & didn't follow the instructions correctly. When my rebate was denied I called the help number & was led through a process that resulted in me getting $130 store credit. I admitted it was 100% my fault for not reading the rebate terms thoroughly but Lowe's still honored the deal. This kind of integrity & service is what will keep me being a Lowe's customer. read more

Just wanted to commend the hiring manager who hired Bob. As a lady, there are lots of "parts" in the store and finding the "one" I needed was made easy by Bob. As soon as I arrived in the door lock aisle, Bob asked immediately if I needed help. YES! I had brought the part and explained what was wrong with it. Knowledgeable and eager to help, he found what I needed. But, the best parr? He took the time and explained the mechanism and explained why this part was a suitable match for replacement. He didn't need to do that, but that was exceptional customer service, I'm a why kind of person and the extra information really made a difference and I appreciated that! So, i had to go back a couple days later. My new part? Ended up...in the bottom of the door wall frame...inside. I hit the Bob aisle haha and really hoped he was there to help with this dilemma. He immediately greeted me, remembered me, and took me a few aisles over to suggest a telescoping rod, with a magnet on the end. Second problem solved. Thank you Bob! Again! I wish to recognize Bob to management. He is more than an employee, he cares, eager to help and he is the face of your company, representing it, and I feel he exceeds his customer service job description. Perhaps he would be suited for management training employees what customer service means. Please hire 1000 Bob's for your company. I will be back...because of Bob being so helpful! read more

Unbelievably bad customer service. I had an electric hot water heater installed on Tuesday. I called Lowe's on Wednesday because the water isn't getting very hot. They said they would contact the installer (whom I had already talked to earlier) Lowe's never called the installer to authorize him to come reset the temperature. I called again today (Thursday) Lowe's said they would contact the installer immediately to have it reset. They didn't call the installer but did call me back 3 hours later to tell me that I have to contact the manufacturer to have the service call covered under warranty and that there was nothing further Lowe's could do to help me. So now I have to wait a week for the manufacturer to send out their technician so I can have hot water again. read more

Oh my God, what a nightmare! We wanted a new entry door for my sons house so, we went to Lowes. We ordered the door in early November. Lowes informed us we would need a " Installation Expert " to go to the house to measure for compatibility and size of the new door. We made a appointment with the " expert " which he never showed up for ( wasted day for us ). Contacted the store for another appointment which he actually showed up for, 30 minutes late. Oh well, at least he showed. Now is when it gets good: The " Expert " installer informed us everything would work out fine. They would remove the existing door to be replaced and the storm door. Since the storm door was in good shape and still stylish it could be reinstalled, at a cost to us of course and we would have a completed entryway. We were supposed to have installation early December, it ended up actually being December 26th. A different installation team came, removed storm door and entry door and installed new entry door. When they were reinstalling the storm door we were told it wouldn't fit due to the threshold of th new entry door. So much for the " Installation Expert's " advice, which we paid for, by the way. So, no storm door. The installers told us we would need a " Fox " storm door, sold by Lowe's. We went back to the Lowe's where this all started and ordered a storm door that should fit, December 27th. We worked with a woman named Joy at the door installation desk. She apologized, were told the storm door would take 14 days to come in and she would personally get with the installer to put us " at the head of the list " Well, we are scheduled for a February 15th install date. December 27th, storm door order date. February 15th, storm door install date. 50 days from order, which never should have been needed according to the Lowe's representative, til installation. That's is we truly get the storm door installed that day with no more problems. Truly a terrible experience so far and it may not be over yet. I gave a 1 star rating because it would not let me give a zero read more

I would say my experience has not been a positive one. I bought carpet 2 weeks ago at LOWES. It was going to be delivered to LOWES installer in 3-5 business days. Then I go into the LOWES and they call the LOWES installer says shutting business down until 4/16 at least because of the virus. This I get no problem. So drive back to LOWES talk to customer service to get a refund. I was informed that they needed the carpet to be delivered then they can do a refund which would be the next day. OKAY. Then I call the next day and they tell me they CANT REFUND because the carpet is at the LOWES installers possession and not at the LOWES store. Okay so since they are closed. THEY REFUSE TO REFUND MY ORDER. So amid all the restrictions because of covid 19, I did an on line order with Lowe's. This is the procedure suggested to order items. I have ordered items in the past at the lowes right by my house, but they never did them right. It was always quicker and more accurate to just get them yourself. So I ordered my stuff from this Lowe's which is further away , hoping for better results. As soon as I received my confirmation email that said my order was done, I left for the store. When I pulled up I couldn't believe how busy the lot was, no big deal my order is ready. Two minutes and I'm gone. 55 minutes later I left the store in disappointment. When I walked I. I was 1st in line . The lady asked my order number and looked around to get my order. After ten minutes of not finding it she called someone and they told her where it was . As she finished up paper work I noticed 2 of my 7 things were not there. She said it would take a bit to get my firestarters. I asked if I could wait outside and they would bring it to me so I was safe. She said no, you have to sign for it but we will let you know when we have it. After 20 minutes of waiting outside I came in to see my order was complete but no one notified me. I signed for my stuff and noticed I ordered two bags of birdseed but only one of them was there. I told the girl and she went to get me my bag of seed. 5 minutes later she returned. I took the stuff to my car and as I was putting it away I noticed she gave me 10lb bags of seed not 20lb bags like I ordered. So back into the store I go. The girl happened to see me at the door , so I told her what happened. She looked at her work phone and said I ordered 10lb bags. I pulled out my email and showed her my order of 20lb bags. She said she will switch them. I went inside waited 10 minutes and finally just went and got the bags my self. The girl never went to get them. This was my last online order at Lowe's. Oh your only supposed to shop for essentials in person but yet the garden shop was packed . People all over each other.
