Stopped by here to pick up business cards for a conference the next day for my husband and me. I tried looking for the card holder myself, wasn't apparent. Asked for help by the print area, don't do that. They sent me to the wrong aisle. Luckily I found it an aisle off. Service was slow and sparse either to her help or to cash out. I took a print job there and it was done incorrectly. I called them to try to see why I can do to rectify the situation and the person Tara was completely rude. Told me it was my mistake even though I was clear on what I wanted. (I've gotten this job done at a closed location a couple of times before) the as I was asking what could be done about it I got hung up on. Yelled at my mother who was in the background, lied about what the corporate number was, store manager refused to give their first name . And accused me of saying these invoices will be around when my father is dead. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I will not only never go back to this location again but will never give business to this corporation again. read more

They had what I needed but couldn't find it. A salesperson was more than willing to help me find it and even read the specifications for me - I forgot my reading glasses! He was so gracious and kind! The price was competitive as well! read more

They made a mistake on invoices and instead of talking calmly about it they said it's our fault and to deal with it. Tara even yelled at us and hung the phone every time we tried calling. When I asked manager could be done and told her how rude Tara was she said oh well. They treated us rudely and I will never come back. If corporate sees this review feel free to contact me. Small businesses beware! They do not care about you and think they are above are petty needs. Always refreshing seeing businesses treat there patrons like trash. Tara and one of the store managers decided my families business is not work keeping. They yelled at us and even had the audacity to say they never yell at customers. This OfficeMax is hidden back in strip mall and may stores have come and gone but this place has hung on. I only ever see one other customer when I go in there so I am unsure how they generate enough sales to keep this location going. This is a bonus though : ) it means you never have to wait in line and also they are always well stocked on any items that I am looking for. They are next to a buffet place that is very busy so those customers usually take the closest parking spots. Employees are helpful if you need help finding something. Clean store. They were not helpful about invoices. had something printed there and it came out wrong. I admit i am also to blame for the mistake but the way it was handled was awful. They made us feel like we were stupid and yelled at us for the mistake. They also implied that my father (who runs his own business) is old and probably won't need another set anyway and said he was going to die soon. That is the most disturbing thing any store manager has said to me. And the person who we originally dealt with was Tara she just hung up on my parents over and over again. Great experience here! Went in to pick up an order for a filing cabinet we ordered and some other items. They had our order ready to go, properly packaged and the other items we were looking for, available and ready to purchase. The check out time was pretty quick and they helped us sign up for their Rewards Program, which we didn't know about. read more

I came in after work to look for a desk calendar for work. I walked into the isle, and sadly saw July 2019 calendars. I assumed they removed the other ones. Two gentlemen saw me walk out the isle and asked if I needed help at the same time. I was impressed with their quickness to offer assistance. The gentlemen with a red shirt assisted me. He informed me that unfortunately they recently pulled the other ones and now only have the July 2019-2020. I appreciated his honesty and helpfulness. He asked if I needed anything else. The store was organized and clean. I was surprised at how clean the floors were. It is really easy to find items as well. As soon as I walked in, I was able to spot the sign for calendars. I love when stores make it easy to locate things. The signs were big, so they were easily readable. I might stop in again to look at some office supplies for work. The elderly man (Walt) that works in print has no business being there. Besides his rude demeanor to every customer in line including myself, he is pushy, not helpful and all around jackass who couldn't complete my simple printing tasks that other employees have done with ease. I see why office supply stores aren't as popular as they once were. Sure you can find nearly every office supply you need. What you get in convenience, you pay for in, well... price! I can find anything I'd ever want to buy here MUCH cheaper anywhere else. This Madison Heights location is older and not the cleanest store in the world... from the entrance, it looks downright dumpy. Customer service is decent but I usually end up walking out once I see the prices on what I'm looking for. read more

This is my go-to office supply store. They have a good selection of ALMOST everything I need, and the employees are friendly, if a bit clueless sometimes. They're never very busy so even though there's usually just one register open, you're in and out. I'm knocking stars off based on the PRICES...I find Office Max is less expensive than Office Depot, but that doesn't mean it's less expensive than, say, your office supply aisle at Wal-Mart. On my last visit I went in looking for a very specific address label...and almost had a stroke since I think the price on them went up since my last visit! I bought them, though, and I'll keep going here because that means I don't have to deal with Wal-Mart! read more

The absurdly crabby guy in the custom-printing department is absurdly crabby. I have had bad experience after experience with their printing department at this location and will drive 20 miles out of my way to another Office Max than deal with the people here. I'm adding a star based on their line of Sharpie markers. Everything else...fail. read more

After a confusing and disappointing trip to the Greenfield location in Southfield, I went to the location in Madison Heights. Hoping for a better experience I walked into the store and was immediately greeted by Tim! Tim asked what I was looking for I told him ink he not only showed me where the ink was and where the particular ink my printer, but he also showed me that they did carry it in a store-brand much cheaper. Further he explained if I took on the purse subscription I would get another 20% off of that price and then offer to sign me up. This saved me an immense amount of money, time and effort and Tim is my new best friend at the Office Depot in Madison Heights read more

Purchased a printer in August, 2014, an All-in-One Wireless by Epson, on sale. Two months later, after approximately twenty copies later, it stops working. I call the store where I purchased the product from, and was told they Didn't have anything to do with the product other than selling it. It came with a warranty and I have had a hard time trying to get this situation resolved. I only needed to get a copy of my receipt, so I could reach the company to get this situation taken care of. I got a response only after I posted on Facebook about the problem, from Corporate, and was told that someone would get in touch with me via email with further instructions. It's Now a year later and I am still stuck with a hundred dollar paperweight! Will Not buy another device from them. At least I get a proper response from MicroCenter. read more
