That being said, at least more of the employees are personable than not* If you can get them to call the store manager, who typically seems to be out of town, they can sometimes walk them through how to, say, use a machine they are stationed by ever day, that usually won't work. I visited the Office Depot on Rosemead Boulevard in Temple City to have a set of business cards printed. After showing the employee at the print counter my design, she told me the job could not be completed because of the borders on the card. I explained that I had previously had the exact same design printed at another Office Depot location without any issues, but she was unwilling to explore any alternatives or provide further assistance. Feeling that the matter was not going to be resolved, I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. I then went to the Office Depot in Montebello, where the staff reviewed the same design and completed the order without hesitation or any issues. This Office Depot is in the plaza next to Shiki Buffet and Super A Foods. I've visited this store since my childhood, and it's been there for as long as I can remember. However, I'm not sure how long that could last. The store itself is huge. There's a lot of space, though the product options were sparse. I went there in hopes of finding a notebook with graph paper - there were none. I was surprised by the small notebook selection, most of which were wide rule. The printer paper section was massive, and I think fairly priced. As I browsed through the various sections, I couldn't help but notice the prices aren't cheap across the board. For example, they had a Legos section that was supposedly on sale, but prices were on par with elsewhere. They also had mid quality AirPod cases for $15.99, which didn't seem reasonable. Maybe that's one reason why there weren't a large number of customers. There were two clearance tables by the entrance. The clearance section in the back corner offers discounts on products with low demand, such as outdated planners and ports for older devices. There, I did find one Pokémon folder for less than $1! At least that was a win! Overall, I think this Office Depot is great for folks who need supplies immediately. Although not the cheapest, the store has its own use case and strength. read more

Hello my fellow I just wanted to post about our recent visit with the office depot. That's on Rosemead Boulevard in Temple City to make a long story short. We've always gotten our business always them. However, my husband just did a little tweaks to the card and was told that 250 business cards we're going to be $50 which we thought was a great price however they kept having issues with the file and when we got them delivered, can you get , we were given 20 that were very low flimsy. My husband went back to the store and was told that it was $1000 for 500 magnetic business cards! We said no thank you take our business elsewhere as it turns out we went to 48 hour print.com and our business cards such high-quality we received 500 $111! We're very happy with their business, and very dissatisfied with this Office Depot in Temple City. We were also told that everybody was on a break and couldn't help us. My husband waited for 20 minutes for somebody in the store to help him just to be told it was $1000 for 500 don't shop here don't go here not recommended! read more

Almost every time I have come in here associates are dismissive and will do anything but try to help you. The man who was in the front with longish hair/tied in a bun is very rude with the way he speaks to people, even experienced him telling a customer "do you even know what it is?" When the customer looked extremely lost after asking him for help multiple times and he proceeded to help the same person in the front for about 5 minutes while being the only associate ringing up. I understand working retail and how frustrating it is when you're understaffed since the associates mentioned it was just two of them and someone else refused to call anyone else in, but unfortunately that is not the guests problem. Treat your employees better so they treat their guests better. This is an issue with management, clearly. read more

This Office Depot in Temple City is the location that I have been going to for many years now. I'm kind of smack dab in the middle of a few locations but this was the one I always went to. Most recently I was there to buy a new room chair since I've been working from home. I did a lot of research online but wanted to see what the chairs are like in person and in the far back that is where all the chairs are lined up and it was great to see all the different varieties of models and different price ranges available. All the different departments were very organized and there were signs of what each area is so it was easy to find what you were looking for and you weren't lost in the store trying to find what you're looking for. Things are kind of more no frills now compared to years ago which still totally works. It was a very efficient trip and it was great finding out what model I wanted and to be able to see things in person. Thank you Office Depot for the excellent service. read more

Bought ink cartridges here, they were defective only worked for about 30 pages and marked low ink on the printer and was printing faded. I did take about a month to see that there was a problem with them. But we rarely use the printer. Anyway the manager didn't want to replace them only give me half off another purchase of the same ink. The ink has probably been sitting there for so long it dried out. Who knows but being sold a defective product was put on me and I took a lose for something that didn't work correctly. Moral of the story just buy from Amazon. If u have time wait for the shipping. Office Depot and Hewlett Packard get a big ole thumbs down. Pro tip: if you require the original packaging on $90 ink cartridges in order to exchange DUD cartridges, make it obvious on the packaging itself. I drove over an hour round trip AFTER making a phone call to Office Depot to confirm that they could exchange these. I explained the troubleshooting I did, had the order receipt and the cartridges which were clearly not used (except for test prints). I did not have the tinfoil and cardboard box the ink came in so was told to call HP directly. HP kicked me down the line of 3 people by HP with a whole lot of nothing. So, now I have a new HP printer and have to eat $90 of the 910XL ink. I was, however, offered a "really great deal" on ANOTHER new printer from BOTH Office Depot and HP. Like I'm going to buy another HP product or support Office Depot after such an expensive and time consuming experience that led nowhere. Back to Amazon I go.... read more

Placed my order online for curbside pickup, and received an email notification that my order was ready, with store hours indicating they were open until 6:00PM today. Arrived at 5:15PM, to be greeted by about 8 employees with TERRIBLE attitudes, closing & locking up the store. I was surprised they were closing early, but all they said was 'we are closed.' I even explained the email said they were open until 6PM, and then an older female employee just said 'we are closing early today. It's your fault for arriving late.' I explained I was not arriving late. And that their email stated 6PM, to which she responded 'not my problem.' I explained it's fine if they need to close early, but they shouldn't email customers saying they're open until 6PM just a couple hours prior. Like a classic employee who thinks she's better than all the customers, her response was 'I'm not the one who emailed that.' I told her the store should fix these inconsistencies with corporate, to which she said 'that's not our job' --- the entire group just walked away laughing and snickering. Let's see who's laughing when Office Depot needs to cut locations and yours is axed due to poor-attitude impacted sales performance. DON'T COME ON SATURDAY - THEY ARE ON A RUSH! I was wondering why Office Depot don't have customers, and some of the locations are out of business. I probably found out the reason. This afternoon, I was completing my printing and it was two minutes before 7 PM, the team members started yelling at me, by approaching my printing station twice, at 7:02 they asked me to interrupt my printing and resend it to the other email. Finally, I was ready to pay and they said "oh the cashiers closed, this is Why we cannot charge you". I said, I know it's Saturday and I know you might had a busy day, but you should move your closing time to 6:45pm, that way you don't rush people like this. This was so uncomfortable how they don't take care of their customers. I left at 7:05pm because you can tell how they are pushing you and moving you from one place to another. I went in around 1pm to do some printing with my USB drive. There were two lines, one for regular purchases and the other was for printing and package pickups. There was 5 people ahead of me for services and we all proceeded to wait while 2 people were behind the counter helping customers. A few minutes has passed, one of the cashiers told us to check in with the screen instead of waiting in line which nobody knew about. There should probably be a sign that says check in on screen for assistance or something along the lines of that. It also might be helpful to have that screen set up at the entrance of the line and not at the front of the line where the cashier is. There was a large sign that stated that if you do self service for printing there will be a $2.50 minimum. To avoid this since I was only printing 2 sheets, I proceeded to check in and wait the 14 minutes as stated on the screen. A little over 20 minutes later, it was my turn and I went up to the cashier. The guy proceeds to tell me that there was a $2.50 minimum for printing. Which I was very confused about because the sign was inferring that if you don't wait for assistance from the guys behind the counter that you would have to pay the minimum. He then proceeds to tell me that if I went to the printing machines myself for self service there is no minimum and that it was $0.12/ sheet for black and white. So basically I just wasted half an hour waiting and could have just done it myself in less than 5 minutes. read more

Okay so I haven't been I side this store in ages, but this review is for the online curbside pickup service that is offered. There was a big sale online for office chairs and we needed some new ones so we ordered two. There was an option to ship to my house which would take a little longer, or ship to a local store and it would be ready by the next day. The ship to store option also included an option to pay extra and have the chair assembled so I don't have to do it myself. We paid for the assembly option. I ordered the chairs sometime in the evening and by the next day I received a call that my chairs were all ready to go. I showed up and pulled up in front of the store at the curbside pickup area and called them and an associate came out with my two assembled chairs and loaded them directly into my car for me. I never even had to leave the car. The associates I talked to on the phone and the one who loaded my chairs were both friendly. While I cant speak to the interior of the store, the curbside pickup service was really great. read more

This review is for the FedEx ShipSite within this Office Depot location. My email from FedEx for a pre-paid return contained a QR code and stated "Head to the nearest FedEx location so that they can print the label for you. All they need to do is scan the code below." This location is one of the returned results when searching for locations on the FedEx website and filtering for "Get a shipping label". However, upon arrival, I was told that QR codes were not accepted here, and was instructed to forward the email to an address posted on the counter. I did, and was then directed to a second employee, who would have printed the QR code instead of the shipping label that I needed had I not clarified that I needed the shipping label. I had to direct him to click a link within the email, after which he printed the shipping label, but used a normal piece of printer paper rather than a proper adhesive label, requiring me to borrow shipping tape to attach to my package. I dropped my package into the outgoing bin and declared my errand complete, until he flagged me down to ring me up for a $2.52 Office Depot full-service print charge that was completely unexpected. Had he informed me of this charge in advance, I would have returned home to print and tape the shipping label at home, or driven to a real FedEx office instead. In short, don't consider this FedEx location to be anything more than a building that happens to contain a drop box. I added a star only for its convenient location and hours. read more
