One of the few stores that carry my home printer ink (may be time for a new printer). The store has a wide variety of printer ink cartridges (some are overpriced). Also carry a large selection of office and school supplies. Staff are friendly on my recent visits. Plenty of parking in the front of the store. read more

Good thing I always get a 2nd quote, which was less than a third of what Office Depot tried to charge me. An outrage, my total cost would have been $2,500.00. I had a bad experience with a delivery of a box of printing paper left unprotected under heavy rain. I filled à complain. 1: I was fully refund without problem by calling the customer service. 2: I received an email from a manager at the customer service department assuring me that they'd do the right thing. I hope they will offer me a free box of that paper as a gesture since I would have to re-order the package without the discount and do not trust the delivery guy. I don't normally leave reviews, and i'm mixed about my experience here. The two ladies at the print center who helped me were very nice, but the young Asian guy with glasses was very unprofessional, borderline hostile to me. I went in to have 15 copies of a ten page document printed in color. I emailed it to the address he told me to. It was a large file, so it was taking a while to download. He started waiting on other people, which was fine -- even though he had two other people helping him. He also told me it would be $0.72 per side even though I looked online and it was $0.42 per side plus 30% off. He dismissed me to go to self serve. After that didn't work, he said my file was too large (90 MB, which i told him in the beginning) and said the store could only handle 30 MB files (why didn't he tell me that before I spent 30 minutes there???). Anyhow, I came home and used their online tool to upload the job. It charged me $0.42 a side and the 30% off coupon worked. I called the store to make sure it was alright, and the woman says the file finally opened after I left!!!! Why'd he waste my time like that? When I went back to pick up the job, he grabbed the box and shoved it at me, while the polite younger lady behind the counter was all smiles. I hate to say it, but Office Depot should get rid of him. If he's good at the printing or if you cannot find anybody better, put him on night shift so he can't ruin anybody else's day. read more

Went in to pick up a specific item on a Friday mid day. The place is in shambles. Empty boxes and pallets all over the place blocking isles. Merchandise all over the floors. I look around for what I'm looking for (an item for a tablet). I find the general area where I expected it to be based on the signs in the isles. Totally different stuff there, doesn't match the signage at all. An employee blocks the isle I am trying to walk down with a work cart then simply walks away. Finally found what I needed in a different spot with an incorrect price on the hanger (because a different product belonged there). Work my way to the check out (around all the junk on the floor). Nobody at the register. I wait. An employee nearby who is sorting through boxes finally comes over. Seems annoyed I am not interested in providing my phone number. Then even more annoyed I want to pay cash. My item was less than $10 + plus an impulse buy of a beverage at the checkout. Since I didn't really need the item until next week, but stopped in because I was already at that shopping center for something else, I probably would have been better off just ordering it from Amazon. Looking at the Amazon site, there is a better item for only a $1 more that could be delivered by Sunday. Next time I will skip this store. read more

I bought a router for $199.99 plus $30 for extended warranty. I asked the salesperson that I can bring it to any store for warranty replacement and he said yes. Recently my router died and luckily my extended warranty was still valid. I went to Sterling store for replacement and store manager Brice Hasking didn't help me. He told me to ship it to warranty company and they will replace it. When I mentioned that other store told me differently, he said that that's the policy. He wasn't ready to help at all and didn't care about customer service. I called 2 Office Depot locations to confirm if some policy changed and they told me to just bring it for exchange. When I called Brice and told him that other stores have no problem exchanging it. He didn't agree. I asked him that I can conference call and he can talk to other stores. He agreed and when I called the other store he put me hold and never got back on the call. When I called Brice, I was told that he is on the other line or busy. Horrible service from this store and store manager. I have going to this store last 10 years. read more

Was looking for a specific laptop and no one in the area had this. When I went into this location though they offered to sell me the display. Or they also offered to order it to the store or my house. I ended up taking the display and saved yet another 10%, which made the laptop well cheaper than I could find anywhere online. The salesman was very friendly and helpful and offered to help me set the whole thing up and gave me some tips about Windows 8. I was actually very surprised by the level of service here at OD. read more

Print and Copy Center... WHY do I go there? Seriously, every time I try I want to wring someone's neck. As a local REALTOR who primarily works from home when I have color print jobs or high volume jobs it's easier for me to use a print center, and OD is conveniently located, so I have attempted several times. Today's experience is pretty representative of the "typical" experience. I use the online center to upload a doc for 100 2 sided copies, B&W. There are many steps and the online center takes too long IMHO, but it's still faster than driving there, so... I pay and get confirmation that says it will be ready in an hour. I leave to pick up my daughter in Sterling, thinking I will pick up upon return. Once I get her, I call... I call to make sure they got it because I can't tell you the number of times I go and they can't "find" the job and they think I did something wrong and they hunt and look and eventually find the job and I have to wait for it to be printed (what is the point of sending in advance?). So I call... "I just want to make sure you have the job and it will be ready by the time I arrive back in Leesburg." They can't find the job. Want to know if I have the conf number. Ask me if I am I sure I did it right... that I selected "for pick up in store" and the correct store. Blah, blah. I have to get off the phone and pull over to pull up the confirmation in my email.... write the conf number down and call back - and then of course they don't answer. Ten minutes later I call again and provide the confirmation number. He says he has to call the help desk and figure out what is wrong and asks if he can call me back later. No. Please do the research now, I am in route to pick these up. Within 30 seconds he says "Oh yes, the job is complete." COMPLETE? You said you didn't have the order "Oh, well, that is because it was done before I got here." I said, "so you made me pull over, look up the information, call you back with it - twice - because you were too lazy to look in the jobs that were complete?" There was no good answer to that question but I swear this is SO TYPICAL of this place. I have to find another place to handle my occaisional printing needs. Not happy at all with today's experience. Display with Turbo Tax 2011 Deluxe edition said $49.99, with a red banner saying save additional $10 instant rebate. At checkout, clerk said the total was $52 something. I pointed out the red instant rebate banner, and she said that the listed $49.99 price was after the $10 rebate. Didn't sound right, so I walked out without purchasing. Checked the price online at several stores including the Turbo Tax site itself, all saying the original price was $49.99 without any rebate or discounts applied - just as I thought. Yes, I probably could have fought this through the manager, but I just didn't have the time or energy to do it. I ordered this online for a same day, in-store pickup. The order was processed and I went to go get it. About halfway to the store I received a call from the manager apologizing because the website was wrong and they didn't have the item but another store in the area did. He gave me the option of picking up at the other store or waiting to have it delivered to this store and pick it up the next day. I opted to cancel the order and pickup at the other store. I then got a call back about five minutes later that the manager at the original store had found one in a different location in the store and he would hold it for me if I wanted it. I went to get it and he gave me a discount for the trouble (even though it was no trouble at all). Wonderful experience and great customer support. read more

Went to this store two weeks ago to buy a desk that was on sale. They didn't have it in stock and the manager told me that I could order it online free shipping and have it Monday (I was there on a Friday). That's sounds good. He placed the order and paid for it but then learned it wouldn't ship until the 20th (Which is almost 2weeks later, instead of 3days). That's a huge difference. I cancelled the order. For some reason they could not reimburse me my $148. I was told it would automatically go back into my account. It's the weekend and waited until the next Wednesday. Still nothing in account. Went in, same manager helped me and said it looks like the refund is pending. He copied my receipts and said he would call Friday morning, because he is off on Thursday, and find out why the money has not been reimbursed. At 12:30pm, I had not heard from him. I called, he said he hasn't called and will call me back. 10 minutes later he calls me and says it takes 7-10 days. My husband goes in this past Monday, manager wasn't there, and the gentleman calls the 800# and now we have to wait 3-4 weeks for a check to be mailed to us, because no one knows what happened. I work in retail and have never seen such non sense. The sad things is, he could of sent me to the Reston store (who had it in stock) and we would of never had to gone through this entire mess. After reading the poor reviews I still decided to try for myself. Simply put and as stated by others, the staff here are poor performers. I went in to order a desk and hutch, which was not in stock and they ordered me the wrong one. I was passed through three associates and even the chair I bought (in stock) was the wrong one. Luckily I told the associate who checked after expressing his disbelief that I knew the difference between black and brown. Upon going back into the store to exchange the wrong desk (which I assembled) the same clerk that originally helped me asked the store manager who told him to call a 800 number. The associate then told me to call the number. The manager corrected him and made him call but my goodness. The overall immaturity of these daytime weekday associates is unacceptable. I won't go back and do not recommend. read more

This is a very poorly run Office Depot. I made the grave mistake of taking my five-year-old ThinkPad there for repair (virus and malfunctioning USB ports.) After two weeks of having my laptop, Office Depot had NOT worked on it! It was still in the same condition as when I brought it in! When they called me a few days later for me to pick it up, I took it home and tried it. It still had a virus and the USB ports did not work! I took the laptop back. They had to ship it out to people who actually knew how to repair computers. Overall, it took over a MONTH to have my laptop repaired and it's still not performing optimally. Choosing Office Depot for computer repair was a huge and costly mistake -- in terms of both time and money. I would NOT recommend Office Depot to a friend for computer repairs. Every single time I went to pick it up, they "lost" my order. My pre-paid order that sent me alerts that the order was ready! I finally got fed up and decided to stop going there for simple prints. I can deliver my packages there instead of at the post office, and the customer service representatives are always pretty friendly. I was very pleased with the help I received at this store. A sales associate, Mustafa Hamadi, worked very hard to accommodate for my needs. After having just come from a very disappointing HHGregg experience, my mother and I were, needless to say, not in the greatest of moods. However, once we walked into the store and found the laptop I had been in search of, Mustafa looked far and wide for my product to check if it was in stock. Their customer service was excellent and Mustafa went above and beyond what I expected of him. I have only pleasant things to say about this experience. read more
